The pool is in the shade most of the day and they play loud music all day. The other guests in the hotel hated it and went to sit round the pools of other hotels. When asked to turn it down the staff where rude.
The rooms where dirty and I got ripped of when I used the bar.
The apartments are in a very nice area, but the staff just want to listen to loud music and mess about. I have been to Icmeler every year for 8 years and it is a first class resort. The Newport aparts are by far the worst place I have stayed

Usually DIY but booked a late deal and wanted to go to Icmeler. Have been there 6 times before so accom was not a major concern - just needed somewhere cheap n cheerful; and only paid

We had a late deal and arrived at 6.30am. The room was in the basement and there was water dribbling down the wall. There was also a very offensive smell. The windows were level with the pool area which meant the curtains had to be closed for privacy and windows closed for security.
We were moved to the attic, which was nicer however many of the fittings were broken.
Saying that the room was clean, bedding tidied daily, Towels not changed all week.
No chef in the hotel therefore no food available.
Hotel staff fairly friendly but indifferent.
Entertainment was a radio playing and a young waiter singing karaoke.

Goldtrail rep was extremely rude.
Staff could not care less.
Accommodation was filthy had to pay to be moved to cleaner apartments.

The hotel was nothing like their website.
The rooms are very small, there is 2 hobs to cook on and a microwave, no restaurant, no satelite TV, not even a plug for the sink. I had problems cutting a loaf of bread, let alone anything else!
The first week we had no hot water, very difficult, boiling up the kettles for 2 children. The main plug in the kitchen was hanging off and was burnt inside.
The first night we stayed there, we got into bed, only having to get back out again, our feet were black on the white sheets, from the floor!
There was no BBQ night, because it was end of season, hardly ever a barman, nothing at the bar apart from soft drinks and local beer.
One day, I came back to my apartment, to find my washing up liquid had disappeared, when I ask, the cleaner said that she thought it was hers!! Do you think that I could get away with the same???
Some nights there was loud music starting at 12.30 and some mornings you woke up to it also!

We arrived at the Newport Apartments 4 girls ages 24,29,34,40 after a 3hr transfer from Dalaman Airport. Within 5 minutes of arrival one of our bags had gone missing containing 2 bottles of vodka a jacket and a pair of jeans, the staff were very unhelpful and didn't care saying that it wasn't much.
1st impressions of the apartment weren't too bad as other write ups had been awful. The apartment was clean but the slot where you put in the key was totally exposed no cover showing all the electrics.
The staff were very sleazy always staring and making you feel very uncomfortable, I hasten to say we didn't spend much time at the pool. The pool only has the sun on it in the afternoon.
The bar isn't well stocked, mostly local drinks, Zar Zar the barman tries his best and out of all of the staff he was the most polite, he does however make cocktails and give them to you to try then asks for 9 million after you have tried it.
The apartment was rather small for 4 adults but it was clean which was all we were concerned about, everyday we would lock the apartment when we left, only to find it unlocked (patio door open) when we arrived back.
One evening 2 of the girls came back to the apartment for a late drink and there were 4 Turkish men there talking and pointing at the girls, one of the girls remarked saying that it was very rude to talk in Turkish and point at them making them feel uncomfortable whilst they were sitting there not being able to understand what was being said, they answered you talk English and we talk Turkish, I hasten to add they didn't go to the bar again.
Whenever you go the safe deposit boxes in reception they watch every move of what you are doing, they even told one of the girls what her full name was and her date of birth when she asked how he said we know all about you from your passport (we don

The hotel was nothing like that which we had hoped and expected. Whilst it was pretty from the outside it was very basic inside and had nothing in the way of comfort. There was no tv or radio and the self catering facilities were very poor. Worst of all it was a 20 minute walk from the town centre or the beach. 20 minutes walk in the heat is a long walk especially if you are to do it a couple of times per day as we did.
After the first night my partner and I decided we did not want to spend another night there and therefore contacted GoldTrail to request a change of hotel.
GoldTrail were very unprofessional and the Rep made two appointments with us and stood us up on both occasions without letting us know that she wouldn't be turning up. In the end we took matters in our own hands and took a taxi to Marmaris and then spent 45 minutes walking around the suburbs before we found the GoldTrail office. Needless to say once we found the offices the level of professionalism the staff showed (except one) left a lot to be desired.
I would definatley not go back to the Newport nor would I use GoldTrail.

Arrived around mid day to find at least 3 different families arguing with the staff that run the place. The staff were being very rude and insulting to the families.
When we were shown our rooms we found that we had been given basement/dungeon apartments that had hardly any natural sunlight. There was damp on the walls and no balcony (as advertised by Goldtrail)When we explained we had a seven year old with Asthma we were shown a room in the attic (on the 4th floor with no lift) that felt like a sauna and had sewage leaking in from a broken pipe on the roof.
All in all, I would say that Icmeler is a really lovely place but the Newport apartments in my opinion should be shut down.
The management is terrible and very sleazy.

We arrived early in the morning, and the staff settled us in our room, but we found the room too small for 4 people. So we spoke to the staff, who said they'd find us another room for the next day.
First the thing the following morning, we were able to move into a more suitably sized apartment on the top floor.
Everything was clean and usable, quite basic, but we weren't in much, so didn't expect anything more.
The Newport was towards the old village, and was a 10 / 15 minute walk to the beach, but we were happy with this as our daily exercise.
The staff were helpful and friendly, and when we visited again September, although we didn't stay there (booked up)we went up to visit them.
We went to the Turkish night, and everyone seemed to enjoy the BBQ and entertainment.

Accommodation was poor, staff attitude was unhelpful and sexually explicit to a female member of our family bordering on offensive.
I would not recommend this accommodation unless there was clear improvements.
