This was our third visit to this hotel but we will not be returning. Previous holidays were fine; we felt that staff were friendly even if they did try to rip you off a bit! This year was different; everyone complaining about attitude of bar "manager" who we had got to know quite well before. He kept asking my husband for his clothes as a present and took drinks from us uninvited and put them on our tab. He also helped himself to tips which ended up in a huge row. He then stopped talking to us!! He is lucky he has not been smacked. Many other guests had similar experiences. We love Olu Deniz and will go back but would tell everyone not to go to this hotel. We complained to rep as did others. She not surprised.

The rooms were kept clean but the fresh towels could sometimes be damp. The cleaning staff worked hard. The breakfasts were the usual type of thing for the country - boiled eggs, toast, fruit, yoghourt. You could have cooked breakfasts etc for an extra charge. The location is good being round the corner from the beach and dolmus station. Very central to the main areas. Hotel staff unfortunately are getting to a stage of trying to take advantage - especially as a woman travelling alone. One night the restaurant manager snatched my change from under my nose before I had decided what I would leave for a tip. The bar staff were always trying to get me to buy them drinks or ice-creams. They talked about how much each person had left as a tip and made fun of me after I left a small tip - but I had only had a starter to eat!! The restaurant manager was always trying to get me to eat at the hotel in the evening or drink at the restaurant bar. The bar staff kept asking me why I was always going out and not staying by the pool. But I got to a point where I felt I couldn't relax without the staff wanting something and constantly dropping hints. I would not go back to this particular hotel but I did like Olu Deniz.

on arrival taken to room by bar staff, who helped with cases. on first appearances the room looked spotless, lovely comfortable beds, T.V. and best of all free air conditioning.

Good bathroom with hair dryer and power shower, hot water all day. Then we looked under the bed, there must have been a years dust under there. The room we had was at the back of block C facing the main road, but at no time where we bothered by traffic.

The pool area was lovely, but could have been hosed down a bit more regularly. Plenty of sunbeds to go around. The bar staff where hard working and very friendly, as where the restaurant staff.

The food here was fairly good especially the Turkish breakfast, always freshly in all not a bad little hotel, but it has to be said its seen better days.

The only downside was the price of photographs from the Turkish night,

We have stayed next door to the Montebello and up the hill from it, it always got good reports and we thought it looked nice so this year we managed to get in.

The welcome was fine and they took us to our room which was clean and basic, same as most others but the free aircon was a real boon. The hot water was only really available late afternoon onwards but we are used to this from previous years. The shower was prone to overflow, it was very powerful, the bathroom floor had a drain and it eventually drained away - no real problem.

The beds were made up every day but unfortunately the towels and sheets were not changed with the regularity we would have liked. Sheets and pillowcase maybe three times and towels possibly three times (in two weeks!) - the dirty towels were folded up and put on the bed! We did find the clean towel cupboard and replaced the towels ourselves once or twice! The cleaners did pay particular attention to the bathrooms but the bedroom wasn't swept properly while we were there.

The general grounds and pool were fairly pleasant, though we do not tend to live around the pool much. One thing we did notice is this hotel was probably 90% British as opposed to other hotels we have stayed in that had a wider mix of nationalities. This was very evident in the towels on the sunbeds around the pool at the crack of sparrows.

We found the balcony a little too small and our room was the last in the block next to the bar area. This was our main gripe in that the bar music was played with a lot of bass so it made our room thump. When they had entertainment on the terrace, they placed a massive speaker right outside our balcony, this made the room positively bounce, it was not pleasant at all.

They did make an attempt with food but we ate out mainly, we did eat in one night for the Turkish night and the food was fine. Breakfast was excellent as the Turkish breakfast always is, though not all the British seemed to think this and many a comment was heard regarding a fry up.

Basically the hotel was fine, staff friendly and polite, a little more attention to the changing of bedding and towels and a room nowhere near the bar would have been advantageous.

We have just returned from a two week family holiday to the Montebello hotel, and have really enjoyed it.

Hotel spotless, rooms cleaned daily with clean towels etc.hotel staff very helpful and friendly.

Food basic but of a good standard and always fresh.

The location is ideal about five minutes from everything.

Beach is lovely but the lagoon is better and very safe for children. Down the main street you will find bars and restaurants all over the place try captain hooks really good and real chicken nuggets for the kids.

Overall this was our first visit to Turkey and won't be the last we would definitely come to this resort again, very cheap very friendly people and lots to do. Try jeep safari with express, don

Me and boyfriend stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. On arrival at the hotel, at about 4.30am, our rep took us into reception.

The reception boy was asleep and it seemed he was surprised at our arrival. This was a bit awkward for all of us. He took us to our room and he seemed to of waited for a tip, but the welcome he gave us, we didn't give him a tip.

First impressions of the hotel, were well I thought it seemed a bit dated and it was the first hotel I've been to which had carpet. The rooms were fairly small, but were very very clean and bright, so that was the most important thing.

We went to sleep for a bit then woke up, and went down to the breakfast. As I'm a fussy eater, I wasn't too impressed by the breakfast, but I made do with toast and jams.

The staff came alongand welcomed us, and gave us some info on the local area, and made us feel welcome.

First impressions of this hotel didnt matter, because as our holiday continued, I enjoyed myself and found that the hotel was in such a great/perfect location.

The pool area was great and freindly people were around. The bar staff and all the staff at the hotel were so friendly, I really couldn't fought a thing at the end of the two weeks.

One thing I did find strange was one of the waiters in the restaurant was blantantly trying to grab hold of me, in front of my boyfreind. Eyeing me up all the time and making kiss noises everytime we walked passed.

My boyfriend didn't notice, thank god because if he did he would of gone mad.

But overall, I had the best holiday ever and was really sad to go home.

I work for Thomas Cook myself, and I recommend this hotel to my customers. I will definitely return back here.

We arrived at this hotel at 10.45pm.

We were the only couple off the coach to stay at the Montebello Beach so check-in was very quick. We were not asked to leave our passports.Safety deposit boxes were for hire ( in wardrobe) for

We had a lovely 2 week holiday staying here.

The breakfast does get a bit boring as it's Egg's, bread, Olives, Tomato etc.

Our room was clean as was all areas of hotel. We had clean towels every day.

We ate a few times on a lunchtime here and found the food to be nice.

The location of hotel is near a busy road which could be heard from the room but we always take ear plugs so this did not bother us.

All the staff were lovely and friendly.

There was only entertainment one night which was a BBQ, belly dancer, and 2 other dance acts. I would recommend this night BUT during the show raffle tickets are sold for gold jewellery if your ticket "wins?" you have to be picked up in a coach the following day to go to the gold centre to pick up your prize where they try to get you to upgrade your prize.

There was quite a lot of noise from the bar until 4am some mornings which disturbed some guests. So take ear plugs.

We would stay here again.

This hotel was fab!!! I would definitely go back next year.

The staff were very friendly and the 2 dogs were gorgeous!!

The food was lovely and the location was perfect.

The entertainment was good especially the Turkish BBQ and the belly dancer.

The rooms were simple but clean and any problems there were the staff were very quick about sorting them out.
