I thought I had already reviewed this hotel from my June 05 holiday there.
I think that says it all doesn't it, it was our second visit.

Location is great. Only three hotels are beach front in Olu, the Belchizi beach (sp??), the oyster residence & this one. The oyster is a small boutique type of hotel. The Belchizi beach doesn't I think do sea-view rooms. The Olu is beach front & does sea-view rooms. They are up a slope like Mount Everest so not for walking difficulties but worth it.

Very clean hotel, gardens kept beautiful, it's like building a hotel in a garden centre. Flowers & shrubs everywhere.

Food very good, great choice. You can eat from 8 till I think 9.30 or 10pm & there is popcorn at 11pm if by any chance you can fit any more in.

Chefs, waiters, bar-staff, chambermaids, gardeners & reception staff great & entertainment staff really good fun. Actually I think the staff are the secret of the success of this hotel, we had the same chambermaid 2 years in a row. Most of the staff were the same.

Water fountains all over the place for drinking water, free bus to take you to lagoon & free beds & brollys at lagoon. Free canoes & pedaloes on main beach & cheaper than normal price sun beds for hotel guests, Oh & free soft drinks on beach & afternoon cake & biscuits delivered on the beach.

Worth the supplement for the bigger, better sea-view rooms. If you do it with First Choice they stock your minibar fridge & put in his'n'hers robes.

Shower gel & liquid soap in the bathrooms (I didn't use it, but hubby like it).

We nearly booked for next year but got the Aegean Dream for a great price. My sister says it will be strange not going there in 07. Her & her husband love it too, only time back to same place for her too.

I stayed all inclusive and this is the best holiday I have ever had.

The food was really good, pancakes and omelette's were cooked while you wait at breakfast time. There is also a large selection of fresh fruit and various breads. About 10.30 the ice cream started in the olive garden lovely walls ice cream in sugar cones I ate far too much. 11.30 till lunch time there were burgers, chips, fruit, toasties etc. Lunch in the restaurant was nice there was always something to eat and if you don't want to be adventurous there is always chips. There are a couple of water machines to fill your bottles up and there is a small bar at the back of the restaurant to get alcoholic drinks and fruit juice. Dinner/tea was pretty much the same but the food did vary on certain days they lit the bottle oven thing and they made pies they are lovely you can either have cheese or meat, highly recommended worth a try.

The hotel is really clean and you get the same cleaner everyday cleaning your room. We had clean towels everyday and the sheets were changed regularly.

The pool area is kept clean and the staff work very hard collecting the plastic cups. (Beware around the edge of the pool area is very slippy we met a couple with two boys and one of the boys slipped over and banged his head on the floor (really big painful looking bump).

The hotel is located within walking distance to the town of Olu Deniz and yes the shop keepers do try to get you in their shop/restaurant if you don't want to go in just smile and say no.

The beach has a lot of pebbles but the sea is lovely and would highly recommend the boat trips, we went on Volkan 3 and swimming in all parts of the sea even my 4 year old loved it.

The hotel staff were very friendly and couldn't seem to do enough for you we got talking to the entertainment team and had a laugh with them as we participated in a few shows.

The bar staff were also friendly and the more you got to know them the more alcohol they put in your drink, towards the end of the holiday i was drinking vodka and coke but had to ask where the coke was.

The entertainment was brilliant, you need to have a sense of humour as it is not Broadway but it's a laugh and hey thats part of the holiday.

Anyway hope to go back one day and i hope that everybody else who visits this hotel/area enjoys it as much as I did.

Just returned 2 weeks ago and have already booked to go back next year! Best holiday ive ever had. Hotel was so relaxing, no rush for sun beds, we went to breakfast at 9am and had no trouble getting 7 sunbeds anywhere we liked. Hardly ever had to wait for a table for 7 in restaurant, they came out and fetched us if it was busy.

Entertainment a bit patchy, but our girls liked it (14 and 15), I think the entertainment staff could have been the reason!

Food was excellent with loads of choice, never got bored, but have had to re enrol at slimming world (again!) The on site jeweller saw me quite a bit! I was made to sit with my back to the shop in the end(by my husband!) Shops nearby, went to market in Fethiye, really enjoyed that.

Our room was plenty big enough and kept very clean, no complaints at all. Can't wait for next year!

Olu deniz resort hotel

Arrived during the very early hours and found the reception staff to be freindly and made the booking in easy. Arrived at room and found to be very clean.

All area's of hotel inc room kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout holiday, also the maid was very nice.

Hotel food at all times was excellent with a varied choice, allthough after 2 weeks it was starting to become repetitive.

Location at end of beach good. a perfect distance away from the shops. shingle beach very close.

The hotel gardens always looked fresh and in good order.
olive garden was good except it seemed to the area that the mossies liked to bite.

Most hotel staff very nice and efficient, pool bar staff not quite as friendly (due to it being a very thankless job I would imagine)

Entertainment okay most of the time and could be funny.

I found the holiday to be excellent and found only 1 thing that could be improved which was the lighting which we found to be inadequate as there are small steps that could not always be seen.

Tea/cofee facilities in the room would be good, allthough not a great problem as it was usually available.
I will probibly book again in 2006.

The hotel itself is very well maintained, and very clean. Your room is cleaned daily, and although not large has airconditioning, hairdryer, fridge etc. The food is good, plenty of fresh salad and fruit and a wide selection of lovely breads! Two of our party were vegetarian and had plenty of choice, although the menu was the same most nights and a bit repetative. This was the first time we had been all inclusive and would definatly recomend it, very good value. The location of the hotel is good, the beach is on the doorstep and 5 minutes stroll into the main resort. The staff work very hard, but it is noticable that the facilites are not adequate for the number of guests staying there. There are insufficient sunloungers by the pool, you really do have to get up early to book them. They are also placed so close together that you are touching your next door neighbour. The evening entertainment is poor, a half hour show each night. On two of the evenings there was a film show - but again not enough seats for all those who wished to see it. The childrens club is not good. Our son went one day and it involved having an owl drawn on his back in felt tip pen.

We would never visit this hotel again, and would advise other holiday makers to be extremely careful if they book and pay for anything directly with the hotel.

We were repeat visitors, having returned after a good holiday last year. We booked our flights and made our reservation directly with the hotel, having been quoted clearly in English pounds. We paid by credit card, and were horrified to find we had been overcharged on our return, by over

This was our first time in Turkey.

The hotel was great - very close to the beach (just a short walk out the rear gates from the complex and you were there!).

The accommodation was small but very clean and had everything you needed, including a fridge and a hairdryer.

We were about 200m from the bar and entertainment area, but could still hear the loud music well into the early hours - this was the only thing we didn't like about the hotel.

The food was lovely - lots of choice and fresh bread, salads, pastas and veg every day. I am a vegetarian and found plenty of choice. The free drinks were great, although the local wine and vodka too some getting used to!

We found the beach very nice although pebbly (take some aqua shoes). The sea was lovely. It was great to see the paragliders landing on the footpaths near the beach (only saw 1 land on the beach but that was in the evening).

I would recommend Quad Biking in Hisarano (sp) to anyone who fancies 4 - 5 hours of fun. It only cost

We stayed there in July 2005 -our fifth stay in four years.

The hotel is clean, the food delicious and the staff friendly and helpful.

The rooms are small but who goes on holiday to stay in their rooms!!!

We have been at all times of the season- Spring, Summer,Autumn and always loved our holiday. In fact we are already booked for October 2005 and May 2006.

The only problem with this hotel is that there is not enough room around the pool area, it was half term the second week of our holiday and you could not get a sun bed for love nor money although they were packed next to each other like sardines. We paid for sunbeds on the beach outside the hotel and at the Beautiful blue Lagoon, the hotel does have a free bus to a very small beach at the far side of the lagoon were they have very limited free sunbeds, we went once.

There was also a problem with tables and chairs around the pool and bar in the evening, you found your self sitting miles away from any entertainment in the olive garden which was very boring.

If you are a couple going to this hotel and you are both physically fit ask for room K118 the sea and Lagoon views are amazing well worth the hike I promise.

For an all inclusive resort the Olu Deniz provided everything you would expect and to a very good standard.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, the resort cleaniness was very good and upkept well. The food was good, although not great in variety was of excellent quality - none of us suffered tummy upsets!

Two complaints - the sunbeds around the pool were too cramped - there was no space in between any of the beds, so if you value your personal space - forget it! Also, to get 3 sunbeds together my husband had to get up at 06:30 every morning (along with everybody else) to reserve them. If you left it until, say 07:30 you were out of luck!

Also, our room was very small - too small for 3 people. There were two single beds for me and my husband and my son had to sleep in a camp bed which had beed added into the room, which was not big enough to accommodate it. Therefore, we were constantly banging into the corners of beds and bruising ourselves!

The entertainment was OK - nothing spectacular but the team did their best with the facilities available. The location of the resort was great, just a short walk to the shops, bars, restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the Blue Lagoon.

The beach however was not comfortable - very stoney and constantly bombarded by parasailors.

All in all however we had a great time and would most probably return in the future. Good value for money.
