I stayed for a week after New Year on HB basis. My room was very clean, everything worked, but there was a dreadful smell of sewage and noise from the machinery running the pumps for the swimming pool. Sadly, when you travel as a single person, giving you a good room is not in the remit of either the hotel or tour operator. I know that some have experienced some very different holidays, but I can only say the food in the restaurant was plentiful, wide variety, good and suited all tastes. The swimming pool needed a clean a bit more, lots of breezes meant leaves and things were always in it, but it was actually other guests that often made this well-situated apartmenthotel dirty, by leaving packets of crisps, food wrappers and cigerette butts everywhere! I know an English accent when I hear one! I wouldn't stay there again as I like variety, but I enjoyed myself and met lots of lovely people, who didn't leave their rubbish for others to clean up around! This doesn't help in the war against cockroaches and others!!! It was a lovely place...

We did not book this hotel to start with we had booked a different one but due to it being sold, the holiday company wrote to us and offered us an alternative hotel which in our case turned out to be the Puerto Taiche hotel in Costa Teguise.
When we arrived it looked ok but it was pitch black and we had to find our rooms in this on entering the rooms we found bare wires, ill fitting light switches unclean. On looking round the apartment we found more and more faults no hot water only hot water we did have was in the toilet system we complained to the rep who was very rude to us women, but if a male member of the party went to him he was different again but this did not make any difference.
It stated in the brochure each room had the same facilities in the self-catering apartments this was not true how do you cook a meal on a two ring hob that you can only get one pan on.
The whole holiday was a disaster the hotel was a building site that had been shut for refurbishment and was not ready for holiday makers we are never going to stay there again.

This holiday was the worst holiday I had ever had in my entire life. The apartments were dirty and full of cockroaches,particularly in the bedroom and kitchen areas. You would pull one of the kitchen drawers open to look for a spoon and there would be baby and adult cockroches in there. The cockroaches were climbing up the doors and the bedroom walls. It was horrendos. The blankets stunk - I don't think they had ever been washed. I was also told by other guests staying at the hotel that there had been several burglaries carried out in the hotel. The bathroom was also very dirty - I found it difficult to shower and wash in there. I think the hotel needs to be closed down immediately and needs to be refurbished. I find it hard to believe it is a 3star plus!!!!

Sad to hear that some people had negative experiences at this hotel, but we had a great time!
We were very lucky as this was mid-season and we had a 2-bedroomed apartment for just the two of us.
The room was cleaned and mopped virtually everyday, although I cannot remember how many times the bed linen was changed.
We were warned about cockroaches by the rep and I was a little concerned, but we saw only one or two. Although I don't like them, it's part of the Canaries, like wasps and spiders are in Britain.
The pools were clean but cold.
There was plenty of entertainment provided, but it was child-oriented. The evening entertainment was also very good for children, but not good if you just wanted a quiet drink. There was a Soul band on once during the week who did Temptations covers, and they were actually very good!
The staff were ok, not the friendliest, but when we had an electrical problem in our apartment, the repairman came within 30 minutes of us reporting the problem.
Although we stayed at the hotel as self-catering, we ate one or two lunches there. They were only bar snacks, but they were pleasant enough.
All over, a great holiday.

We stayed on a half board basis, when we arrived on the ground floor room, we found the toilets had a very funny smell like drains! apart from that the room was clean and the maids appeared to come in every day.
I am a fussy eater anyway, but the food selection was not all that bad there was a theme night on every night ie: italian, chinese etc.. word of warning avoid the chinese! not to healty looking. never seen a cockroach the whole holiday but then again i did not go on holiday to spend the duration looking for them. all in all i would give the hotel 7/10 not a bad place really!

We flew over and got a coach transfer from the hotel to the apartments. When we reached the apts we got out of the coach and went to reception. The reception area is lovely and there is some sofas. We got our key and started to walk to our apts. They were at the other side of the apts and on the bottom floor.
The pool gets cleanede out every morning as we used it a lot as it was a couple of steps away from our patio!!! The pool was quite big and my three kids (15,8 & 2) were always in it!! At the edge of the pool was a snack bar & a small restaurant / take away. On the other side of the restaurant there was a small supermarket which provided everything that you needed which was good!!!
The childrens clubs were great with the kids!!! They done activities with during the day and night and for my 15 year-old was days out so we could have peace and quiet. They also provided entertainment for them in the evening eg mini disco and they had a room in the apts were they brought them to play games and quizes and for my 15 year-old pizza and film nights!!!
There was LOADS of restaurants around the resort. There was one straight outside in the car-park in the apts which did GREAT food especiall there bread rolls and pizzas!!!
The enter tainment at night was ok ~ The kids often did shows and they did bingo every night which only cost 2 euro. The entertainment during the day was good. The entertainers put on volieball and other pool sports which they too took part in!!!
~~~ We had a great holiday and were very sad we were leving the resort.

When we arrived at our accommodation, we were extremely pleased with the location, we picked this particular hotel because of its convenience to the resort we had been to Costa teguise the previous year and liked the small friendly resort but we got a wake up call with the hotel the only word I can use to describe this hotel was horrible.
We were subjected to a war of the worlds it was us against the cockroaches and I think I will never be able to return to lanzarote again I am scarred for life. After complaining we were moved to another room on the other side of the complex at 1am with 2 children in tow and no directions and 6 suitcases the room we were given was luxury compared to the first room which was filthy and furniture was broken and unusable cigarette burns in the bed clothes.
We did not pay cheap for this holiday we then found ourselves in a building site which was loud dirty and very unsafe.
Airtours reps were unfriendly and unhelpful we even phoned home to our travel agent to complain during holiday every morning reception was full of people complaining some even had raw sewerage coming into their apartments and reports of rats will never return to these apartments again cried most of the holiday. It really was a holiday from hell!!

This hotel was the best we could have chosen.
The location was great next to pubs, clubs and entertainment bars.
Me and my family went with 2 other families in total of nineteen of us; I speak for us all when I say it was a great hotel.

The hotel had cockroaches but they allowed us to move to another section of the apartmants. They also got people in to get rid of them.
The bathroom was not very clean but the maid come everyday and kept is clean and tidy.

I have been to this complex twice before and I am booked to go again March 2006, (but no kids.) I have found that the entertainment for adults is a bit poor but plenty for kids.
The actual area is good as it virtually on the beach. I would recommend hiring a car and go elsewhere for entertainment i.e. Puerto Del Carmen.
The food in the complex is excellent and hot!
The staff are friendly, and I would recommend it to any family.
I have been Lanzarote 3 times (twice to Tahiche) and every time I went it seemed to get better.
