the room we were put in was very poor.We had a rubbish balcony which all of the family could not get on,a horrible view of the crazy golf while couples got to live up the life having a sea view bedroom with a ginormous balcolny (I know that because we needed a curtousy room and we had a room for only 2 people to sleep in but it was very big.) the hotel food was mostly fried same kiddies menu everyday but they did have lots of salads luckily, but the wait for the drinks was apporling.the entertainment was the same over and over again except from 2 days which were the dancers but there wasnt much to do for the kids.

Qawra Palace hotel Malta

Hotel in need of redecoration staff very very helpful and cannot fault the cleaners they are very friendly and nothing too much trouble for them.

The only downside was the food is on a two week menu and the standard left alot to be desired some nights. I understand they only have a limited amount to spend on guests but surely someone can shake the chefs up with some typical Maltese food. Many occasions the food was either cold or luke war dispite going to the dining room at different times of the evening.

This was my fourth visit to this particular hotel with my family and we all enjoyed it.

I find the staff to be extremely courteous.

I am a 15 year old and the hotel has a lot to offer me and my 13 year old brother.

I feel that those who do not appreciate Malta have not experienced the full beauty of the place.

just come back, from malta, and we both very pleased, with hotel and resort,i have read some comments on this page, and cannot agree with the bad ones. Comfortable hotel, clean, our room was cleaned daily, the food we could not fault,if anyone went hugry it was there own fault, entertainment, good , a lot better than some hotels we have been, the coffee shop, a nice place to pop in if you want a snack,in all, cannot fault, hotel or staff,if anybody is thinking of going to malta, in the future, check when they are having their festivals, the firework displays are breathtaking

When we arrived at the Qawra Palace hotel we were
plesantly surprised at what a beautiful hotel it was.

Being in the cleaning business myself as a Contracts Cleaning Manager I was amazed at how clean the staff keep this very large hotel its A1.

The facilties are great and you couldnt find better staff to look after your every need and let me tell you they are there for your evey need.

The food is probably the best you will taste and you would travel far to find better.

The hotel is well situated and eveything is only short walking distances Hotel entertainment even though good i thought could be improved a bit but still very enjoyable and nothing you would want to complain about.

The children are fully entertained as are the adults.

I am looking forward to returning to the Qawra Palace this year September 2006.

Thank you to all at the Qawra!

Iwrite as an experienced middle aged All inclusive expert, who has been there and done it all, got the Tshirts and stayed in many Hotels in the Med area and Africa.

Qawra (pronounced ouhrah) is not the best AI we have stayed in---thats reserved for the Le Soliel in Kenya--but it is by no means the worst.

We think that any comments prior to 2003 should be ignored. We found the Hotel to be very freshly decorated and looking good inside. It was built in the early eighties and looks a bit dated from the outside. My wife and I travelled with our elderly but fit mother. We requested a seaview room for ourselves and a single room for the mother very close to us.

Our holiday was for two weeks and the mother was only for the first week. We were allocated our twin room on the fourth floor with a great seaview and the mother was also given a double room across the corridor and only a few doors down. Top marks to the travel company Chevron and the Hotel.

The hotel was very busy during our stay and we never heard any complaints.

The food was good and well presented--nothing too fancy but a great choice of dishes. Breakfast and Lunch was very laid back and relaxed but for some unknown reason, Dinners turned into a very organised chaos. We never had a bad meal during our two week stay. If you are ALL INCLUSIVE then go for the house wine with your meals. Dont bother asking for a glass of wine with your meal becaese you will have to get refills --get the bottle-- try the red, rosie or white, they are all very drinkable and you can have as many as you wish.

At the bar ask for a double Gin and tonic or anything else you wish--ITS ALL INCLUSIVE.Look for wee David in the restaurnt and he will get you anything including Brown Sauce.

The Poolside area is small and can get very congested when the sun is out. Getting to the Poolside Bar reminded me of a David Attenborough film where he was on a beach surrounded by large sealions and one decided to go to the water and was met by large areas of rollimg flesh who were grunting and hissing.

After this summary of my holiday, I have to say that this was a good one. You have to hire a car for Malta. The driving is easy but go for a good company. On the plane back I heard some horror stories about car hire.

We can recommend SUNDRIVE who are located near the Hotel

We stayed half board for 2weeks, this is definitely not a 4star hotel, morelike 2+ to 3, we had a sea view room with a nice view, pity the patio doors to the balcony did not fit properly and needed excessive strength to open them(my wife could not manage it),the bath took about 20mins to fill and you had to run around to get wet in the shower.

The food was average, but as for having to queue up at the till to pay for your drinks and then go to the bar and get them how outdated and inconvinient is that, the staff in the hotel were all very friendly and helpful, even if when the maintanence man had been to the room nothing had changed.

Hotel is very clean but in dire need of refurbishment.

Entertainment was not bad, and the Hotel is right on the front. Another drawback is you cannot walk 100yds if you are a couple without a car screeching to a halt next to you and a timeshare salesperson pestering the life out of you.We would not use this hotel again.

After booking the Qwara palace in July 2003 on an all inclusive 2 week holiday and looking forward to this holiday i decided to look on the internet for the holiday review. I was very dissapointed to find that most of the reviews had not got a good word to say about the hotel qwara palace, so we did not know what to expect.
I even went into the travel agent to see if they had any complaints but they had not. May i just say that the people who wrote the reports that i read could not have been more wrong.

From arriving at the airport we had first class service from Air Tours until we came home. The holiday could not be faulted the only thing that the comments got right was about the lifts that the 4 lifts were not always working at the same time. The food was great, the rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed daily. The staff were always helpful i would definatley recommend this hotel to anyone.

And our party woul definatley go back in the future valerie rogers and party west midlands

As others have said this hotel does not meet 4 star requirements more like a 2 or 3, rooms are fine no cmplaints with the tidyness of rooms but the dinning hall is a different matter, having taken two young children they tend to drop food on the floor from one night to the next the same food was still on the floor they had not sweeped or cleaned, we seem to do a lot of complaining i.e one lift was always broken down they took ages to come & could only fit 4 people at a time as they have a lot of floors this is very tiresome if you are elderly

When we arrived it was nearly midnight we were placed on the eigth floor of a sea view room. the entertainment was on and having a small child I was wondering how she was going to sleep as it was very noisy, it however stops just before or after midnight which wasnt bad.

A few things needed to be sorted one being the balcony door would not lock, we complained and it was dealt with very quickly.

I thought it was a nice hotel but a little shabby and in need of refurbishment. I must add that it was very clean and our rooms were cleaned to a high standard.

All of the staff were really nice especially the waitresses and waiters. The food was fine and the entertainment was okay but I think it was aimed at older people.
