Best steak house TEX MEX or the American Indian who do a steak in Jack Daniels sauce. Chinese food try The Sunshine. Indian try the one near crazy golf on the front. If you want fish go to old town where the fish come right of the boat into the pan.

Try for South facing appartment. Food in onsite bar is good but loads of local restaurants are a short walk away

If you are visiting during the winter months then ask reception for extra warm blankets for the cold nights and also ask for the WiFi code ....
Plenty of food places to try although buffet places charge high costs on soft drinks with your meal ..

Not much crack that wasn't the usual ex pat tripe. No sign of any Canarian culture but that's what we should have expected. Beach magnificent.

Excellent resort. Restaurants are super, spoilt for choice as cheap or up market as you desire. For shoppers there are nice shops apart form the usual trinket shops ie 5 storey shopping centre with play area for kids where they can be left and supervised lots of small amusement arcades pitch and put mini golf for kids great bars good for families no rowdy drunkedness or fights very family orientated but lots for single people also clean.
Excellent beaches first time in Puerto del Carmen would def return. No faults at all found great holiday also only 10 mins from airport.

We all really liked Puerto del Carmen, there was something for all ages. The boys found disco pubs etc and we found some lovely restaurants and bars. A couple of pubs with live music which is what we enjoy. For all the family without being too loud and tacky (although it was in February, may be different in July).

Few nice beaches at PDC. Sun loungers and paddle boats available. Maria may visit & offer you a massage (we gave it a miss). We spent more time at far end of los pocillos beaches (near the beach showers) and near the big parade of shops, quite a walk but worth it. Fanatastic little English restaurant there called Picasso's - lovely carrot cake. Yum !!
Tip - If visiting Playa Blanca great beach near 'Kiko's' - kids play area with staff, swimming pools etc. and only costs 10 Euros for family of 4 for whole day including sun lounges. You can actually leave your kids with staff if you want and they entertain them. We let ours use the kids facilities (bouncy castle, little pools, play rooms) but didn't want to leave them then we all went in the pool. Great (man made) beach near by kiko's with paddle boats, sun loungers, soft sand. Very clean too.

Plenty of Irish bars in Puerto Del Carmen with live entertainment and great atmosphere.
Loads of chinese restaurants and we found an excellent one 'Emperor' opposite Ricks Bar at the Centre.
Something in this resort for all ages.In all a great holiday except the weather

Purto del Carmen is lively has an abundence of good places to eat nice beaches + walks + plenty of shopping

Puerto del Carmen was a great resort. However, there was not a lot to do for kids. I don't know whether it was because it was February. There was one nice bar (called planet I think) with a nice dancefloor and laser lights which our kids headed straight for. However, the manager came up to us and told us the kids couldn't dance if they were under 18 due to health & safety regulations! We had one drink and left as this is all that the kids wanted to do. The beach looked really good - didn't get chance to test it as it rained for 7 solid days!. Worst weather they had had in 40 years and we had to pick that year!!! The restaurants were fine with lots of choice. Would definitely go back but Lanzarote definitely needs to start catering for families as well as adults.

Situated right in " the butterhole" as we say in DK. Old Town, beach and Shopping - all nearby. Especially Old harbour with its fine restaurants.
