The Monaco is a good place if you have families. Rob and Teri run the entertainment and they are fabulous with the kids and look after them from morning til night.

I have never seen such a brilliant entertainment team, i run entertainment for a well known company and i would employ them both if they would be daft enough to move back to England.

The bar staff were good too.

I recommend this hotel to anyone

We found the our hotel room not at all clean-pubic hair in the bathroom and blood on the sheets was there 3 days before I stripped the bed myself-had to sleep on a towel previous to this.

The meals were rather repetitive although nice.

Terri and Rob are very good at their job! We enjoyed the adult quiz's!

The pool was quite small and during our stay there was a large group of children who enjoyed spitting in it which left us using the pool for 2 days of our 11 days stay!

Druggies hang out at the side of the hotel at night and if your room is on the side where the street is they keep you awake! The police do try to move them but they hide all their drugs in the rose bushes then return for them.

The Monaco was refurbished in 1997 and it's beginning to show. A good bout of maintenance wouldn't go amiss.

Its location is OK except the paved/seating area in front seems to be the place drop-outs and druggies congregate.

Whilst Thomson advertise the accommodation as being all-inclusive it is more full board with free drinks part of the time. Bar opens 10.30am and closes at midnight (big rush to bar). Staff can be a bit surly/moody and thin on the ground at times. There was often just one on with big queues. This compares with the Flamingo Oasis, where we stayed last year, where the bar opens at 10am and is free until midnight with a reasonable charge for local drinks up to 1.30am.

At the time we went the Monaco was full of mature people, or as someone called us 'coffin dodgers'! This meant that the lifts (2 of them)were really busy at meal times, do beware.

The young man who organises the entertainment is employed by the hotel and earns his crust. It can be a bit boring having bingo every night.

The hotel still uses a key to lock room doors, the key has a huge fob on it which is used in a wall slot to turn on the electricity.

Because of the hotel design rooms are of a somewhat odd shape. On one side balconies get sun from first thing to around 3pm. The other side warm up around that time. Anyone going should ask for room 11 on any floor (ie. 311, 711, 1311 etc.) These are right at the end of the corridor and get sun nearly all the time it's out.

Would we go again? probably if the price was right (we paid

Elaine and Dave We have visited this hotel 3 times now and i would recomend it to all ages . We have been there the last 3 years and have enjoyed every minute . Teri and Rob who are employed by the hotel do an excellent job they work really hard . The hotel staff are all excellent and friendly on the morning of your welcome meeting you will meet the hotel manager he is lovely . The food was very good and entertainment was good too . The hotel monaco is centered in the middle of benidorm and is only a 5 minute walk away to both old and new towns . We are still going to benidorm this year but we are going all inclusive. But yes i would definitlly go back to hotel monaco.

We visited the hotel monaco in July 2002. Upon arrival I felt the hotel although clean was a little jaded, a tin of paint required!
The food was acceptable if not repetitive. The hotel staff were friendly including the hotel manager.
Entertainment was provided outside nightly, which we enjoyed.
The location of the hotel I did not feel was ideal at night it was quite noisy. Benidorm seems to come alive at night!
I personally would not visit this hotel again.
