I stayed in the apartment complex of Marinada Hotel in Sept 2003. Studio very small but adequate for two people. Excellent options on being able to pay for breakfast, lunch, dinner or combination of these when we arrived.
Entertainment was very good with a singer and a disco most nights in the apartment portion of the hotel with happy hour also being exccellent value. Pool at apartment portion very small but also private. much bigger pool and indoor pool at hotel on other side of street.
Only complaint about this holiday was in relation to deposit left to cover breakages etc. We were told that we had broken a plate ad a song and dance was made at reception in front of everyone. When I asked how much to cover plate I was told 1 Euro - Have to admit at that stage I nearly through it at the girl.
POrt Aventura very good and no point in shopping around for a good deal - we walked from hotel to park (about 45 mins) and price at door the same.

This was an excellent hotel and great value for money. I would definitely go back and have recommended it to others.
The staff were mostly friendly the service in the restaurant was excellent. Most of the staff spoke very little English.
The only problem we encountered was that we had an early morning trip booked and we required an early breakfast we were told by our rep to ask at reception the night before and they would open the restaurant and do us breakfast especially. This we did but when we went to the restaurant the next morning it was closed. The only person around was a security man who opened the restaurant but there was no food inside for us to eat!!
The pool area got crowded and if you left to go for a walk etc there would be no sun loungers left in the afternoon.
