We have just returned from the Pinewood this was our first holiday to Turkey and we have had an excellent time. The Pinewood was perfect for families or couples.

The accomadation is very basic but spotlessly clean the pool is a nice size probably one of the bigger ones, we saw a lot of apartments/hotels with tiny pools, and the staff are wonderful so friendly and cheerful.

The Pinewood is in the old village and is set amongst the mountains you get a beautiful view from your balcony it is a lovely walk of about 10 minutes in to the town and 20 minutes to the beach.

A couple of times we ate at the Pinewood which was always very nice and not to expensive.

My only complaint would be that they charge

Where do I start words cannot descride how fantastic a holiday we all had at pinewood.

The apartments are basic but all you need and are spotless, the maids do a great job. The rest of the staff, teddy, ziggy and joseph are all brill so nice and friendly and always happy to help with a smile despite working very long hours.

The pool area is lovely mind you pack alarm clock for sunbed duty. We had to get up earlier each day to get sunbeds.

Air cond is a must if a bit pricey. Money exchange facility also very handy. The meals at the bar were just to die for we ate there a few nites.

The apartments are just a nice distance from resort with great views of the mountains. Would recommend pinewood to anyone,we all cant wait to go back.

We stayed at the Pinewood apts in July/Aug 2005, we had a fantastic time.

The hotel was spotless.

Staff we brilliant and nothing was too much for them.

Situated in a lovely valley between two pinewood mountains.

There was no entertainment as such, but the staff kept us entertained all the time by being friendly.

Will definitely come again in August 2006.

Food: Self catering. We had the odd breakfast and lunch in the hotel. The traditional chips, burgers and salads were nice however the cooked breakfasts and scrambled egg were, well nearly there!!

Cleanliness: The rooms were cleaned as in mopped every day, however the sheets i believe were only changed once in the week that we were there. The top sheet wasnt even changed once. I know this as a small bit of dye from my bikini had left a stain on it. This sheet then alternated from my bed to my partners during the course of the week.

Rooms: The rooms are very basic and although it says a 3 star hotel i asked the rep if it actually was. I later found out most hotels in Turkey, even a 3 star are pretty basic. We were also on the ground floor and were woken almost every morning at 7am by the sound of flip flops coming down the stairs. You need to book your sunbed by 8am at least otherwise you'll struggle to get a decent or any spot of the sun.

Hotel Location: The location was only about 10 mins walk to main part of restaurants, 15 if you want to walk to far end of beach. Ideally wear flat shoes as my heels kept getting caught in the paving!!

Hotel staff: Staff were really friendly and polite.

Entertainment: There was no entertainment at all which was suprising as i got the impression it was a family hotel.

Overall, the pool was really nice and clean but the accomodation let us down.

This is the seventh time we have stayed at this hotel, it is self catering but the food you can get there is out of this world, you will never be left hungry as you get plenty.

The hotel is spotless as are the pool and the well kept gardens. The rooms are cleaned every day and bedding a couple of times a week. The staff really make this hotel special, Joseph, Zac and Teddy are in the bar area and can not do enough for you. Ibrihim & Semra own Pinewood and thay cannot do enough for you.

We are going back again in October for two weeks as we can not get enough of the place. Pinewood is set in the older part of Icmeler surrounded by pine trees but not too far away from the night life if that is what you want.

In 2006 you will have to book with Thomson not MyTravel.

Just returned from Pinewood wonderful rooms were quite spacious and spotless.Maids came in every day enough room for all your clothes and suitcases fitted nicely on top of wardrobes.

Not enough sunbeds around the pool that said if you got up early enough you could get one unfortunately it's the great British pastime of grab a sunbed.

Location is great as not too near the bars to hear any noise but near enough for a nice stroll in the evening.

Staff made you feel very welcome.

Would recommend this hotel have just booked again for 2006.

I thought This hotel was very good and the hotel staff, Teddy and Zac were really good and polite, even when somepeople were rude to them.

There is a very nice cafe and resteraunt round the corner called 'Richards Place', were the food was really really really nice and the staff really rocked, I am only 14 but I loved the food drink and me and my couzin had a great time. I would go back a million times.

The Pinewood are nice apartments basic but kept very clean up in the old village, which we liked and it only took 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the centre and about another 5 minutes to the beach. Very quiet at night.

Maid service was daily. The only gripe we have is you only got one large towel each and this was not changed until the 5th day along with the sheets and the water for a shower was not very hot, in fact lukewarm and if you had a shower late it was cold.

We only ate at the apartments a couple of times, but what we had was nice. They run a tab and you can settle when you want. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The swimming pool area was nice and we never had a problem getting a bed, although could of done with a padded mattress for the sunbeds as they were the horrible plastic ones.

As such, there is no entertainment at the apartments, but there are a couple of places around the corner if you didn't fancy a walk into the centre. Richards Place was just across the road and if you fancied a cooked breakfast this was 99p.

We would stay here again, liked the old village, very pretty.

Next year these apartments are changing tour operators and they will be with Thomson.

On our arrival we were given a warm welcome and help with our luggage up to our 3rd floor apartment.

The apartment was simple but immaculate and light and airy with a view over the pool from the good sized balcony.
There is 1 bedroom at the back of the apartment with twin beds - a large wardrobe with lots of hangers drawers and shelves- our suitcases fitted on top of the wardrobe so were out of the way. there is a bedside table between the beds and a dressing table with good sized mirror.

The lounge/kitchen area has 2 armchairs which convert to good sized single beds - our son was very comfortable and no danger of falling out of bed! - I would say they were large enough for an adult to sleep on. The plastic balcony table and 4 chairs doubles as dining furniture.

The kitchen area has a sink and 2 ring plug in hob and plenty of cupboard space and utensils - there is a good size fridge with large icebox again all immaculate. If you were planning any cooking you may miss microwave, oven, toaster and kettle but to be honest with the huge selection of restaurants in the resort and a good value breakfast to be had at the pool bar we found no reason to cook!

Our room was cleaned everyday but towels and bedding were only changed twice a week and there was only one (large) towell provided per person and no bathmat.

The pool was pleasantly large and sparklingly clean - there was also a seperate small shallow pool for the children.
On our first week we didnt really have a problem getting sunbeds but on our second week the apartments were full and you did have to get up early to get one especially as in our case if you needed to watch your children in the pool.

There is no restaurant as such just an outdor bar area but they did serve food all day which was very good and good value.
The owners were almost always in the small office/reception or sat at the poolside tables - they were chatty and very friendly and keep a good library of paperbacks in the office!!

Their staff were also very friendly and vigilent without being "in your face" and they keep the whole place spotless.

All in all you couldnt wish for nicer people.

We did experience some noise from nearby properties-I think this was worse as we were on the 3rd floor and the music carried but its all over by midnight ish. Worse for us was the noise in the early hours of the morning caused by the occupants of the room next door on one occasion we were kept awake for 2 hours with furniture being moved about and constant shouting matches phone calls and swearing - the rep and apartment owners told us there had been numerous complaints.

Although these 2 girls ruined a couple of nights for us it was in no way the fault of the hotel, and we met some lovely people there.

Our only other gripe was the shortage of hot water - The only time you could get a hot shower seemed to be late morning to mid afternoon - due to solar heating, but you soon learn to work around this.

The apartments are in the old village but it is a pleasant walk into the town and about 20 minutes to the beach. We took an old buggy (didnt bother bringing it home) for our just 5 year old and this proved a Godsend - very handy for loading up with shopping and beach gear too!!

The room safe is extremely small - barely big enough for a camera!
We did not need air conditioning being mid May but this is available at a cost.

I would not hesitate to reccomend the Pinewood Aparthotel and would definately stay there again - it was friendly well cared for, immaculately clean and relaxed.

We were self catering, but we ate most of the time in the restaurant. The kitchen was immaculate, you could eat off of the floor in there !!

The staff were fantastic and could not do enough to assist you.

This visit was our 3rd to the same resort and hotel. Because we had children we wanted somewhere we knew would be clean and safe. This was.

It is run by a husband and wife, Semra & Ibraham Ozcanli with a staff, that were pretty much the same each year. They worked relentlessly from 06.30 ish in the morning until the last guest decided to go to bed that night. !!!

I would not hesitate to go again.
