This was the best holiday we have ever had for its type.
The room and the complex was spotless at all times.

The food was varied and plentiful. You could eat yourself senseless. The desserts were incredible and were eased down with masses of ice cream.

The location was idyllic but the only drawback was you had to get a cab to get to Olu Deniz as there were no busses. No big deal because we hardly wanted to go out.

There is so much to do on site with the 19 pools and great beach and a whole host of activities. If you are sporty you will love it and if you are not there is enough space to be totally alone.

Entertainment was a bit samey every night but it was good quality.

Lykia World share both the Village (apartments) and Residence (hotel) facilities and you are able to visit any of the facilities each offer, including 4 restaurants (1 being in the Childrens Paradise area).

In addition there are 5 other 'themed' restaurants which, have a small extra charge.

The food is plentiful and varied and available from 7.00 am until 9.30pm, there's even a midnight buffet should you feel the need!

There are 19 pools situated around the resort with adequate provision of sunbeds and lots of shade too - even at the 2 beaches Lykia have erected shades, in addition to providing parasols.

2 of the pools are adult only and are in quiet secluded areas, there are another 2 large pools, the rest are at the Childrens Paradise which, is fantastic - with waterslies, an artificial beach and lifeguards are in abundance.
The apartment we had was fine, plenty of hanging space, a well equiped bathroom and 24 hour air-con.
(Soap and shower gel provided)

Also, no need to take beach towels, each person travelling is provided with one free of charge (no deposit required) and this can bve changed daily.

It's a family resort, stacks of clubs and organised activities with pleasant, well trained, staff - although, there's no pressure to join in if you don't want to.
We found safety to be of paramount importance with a good checking in-and-out procedure for the children.

Everyone we came across was duly satisfied and impressed and had a great holiday - man returning back for the 'umpteenth' time.

drinks were no more expensive than in any of the Spanish resorts we've visited and water machines situated throughout the resort (mineral water) were free of charge.

You'd be hard pushed not to have a fabby holiday.

Enjoy

Stayed in Lykia World Village, seaview rooms (simena).

Rooms were spotless & had beautiful views. Food was fantastic especially at marina restaurant, so much choice.Children were never stuck as to what to eat steak, chicken roast beef etc & desserts were delicious . Also you get wine beer soft drinks all the time you are eating and you are never rushed.

The location is about 5 mins from Olu Deniz at the bottom of the mountains ,views are fantastic.

The staff are so friendly & helpful got to now them by name and they would come and chat with us when they were off duty or they would sit and have dinner with us especially entertainment team who were fantastic.

We are going back next year best holiday weve had so much to do waterpolo ,football, jetski kids loved it.

We have just returned from Lykia World and would like to share our experience with prospective customers. First impressions were good as the location, cleanliness, quality of food and friendliness of most of the staff is good.

A few negative points should be noted: Our room was on the sea front(extra cost) and we experienced noise late into the night from the disco and from partying teenagers who 'took over' the beach!

Also, none of the numerous pools or the beach are supervised by resort staff and some guests and their children played with balls, inflatables and snorkels and we witnessed several incidents where young children were in potentially dangerous situations because of the actions of other youngsters and/or adults.

The Turkish bath is an experience not to miss however if considering having a massage or facial treatment, note that these are undertaken without personal health information being taken.

Also consider that if, like us, an incident occurs during a treatment, the management at the resort will probably deny any responsibility!!

We met many guests who had been going to this resort for many years and they all said that there had been a deterioration in many of the services and standards at the hotel to the extent that they would not be returning next year. What a shame that a potentially excellent family resort is spoilt by the actions of a few. By the way, we wont be back either!!

We stayed in the village in K but we were never there as there was so much to do.

Only really used the rooms to shower and sleep.

Food was excellent. Never used any of the "extra" restaurants as we always found the buffet had so much to offer. Was never the same food and the kids always found something they liked too which makes life easier.

The place was immaculate. There were so many staff always cleaning everywhere.

The entertainment was excellent. We have children of 3,5 and 9 and suited all ages.

Would definitely go back.

I really checked up on the hotel before we went and couldn't believe all the excellent reviews so couldn't wait to get there.

We have children aged 2,3,5 so were worried about the flight but they were great books, games and singing enough to keep them entertained.

Smooth going through passport control remember the

Well we are off again to this fantastic place in september 2006,this will be our 4th visit to lykiworld.

The resort is spotless, food is fantastic, the location is a bit remote but the remoteness is a plus for some people.

The staff are friendly and helpfull and like a big family and the entertainment is great,if you want to be part of the shows you can.

Having read so many positive reviews we decided to overcome our usual phobia of 'package holidays' and give LykiaWorld a go.

We stayed in the Residence Hotel for 14 nights.

Good points: Beautiful location and grounds, vast range of activities, exceptionally helpful and friendly staff, excellent hotel room, good quality food and plenty of it (though after 14 days the buffet concept does get a bit repetitive), very clean, caters for all ages but with some nice adults only 'quiet' areas.

So-So points: The animation team weren't that good but they did try hard! A few of the restaurant staff seemed clueless but they were a minority.

Bad points: Too many drunken British teenagers (14-16) illegally obtaining alcohol and generally becoming obnoxious as the nights wore on - we heard of several 'issues' after midnight.

If you want a sunbed near either of the main pools you will need to be up with the lark (and the Brits were the worst of the bunch with the Russians not far behind) despite the best efforts of the hotel and some people defend their 'plots' quite aggressively, main bar areas just too crowded (summer school holidays) with not enough seats and tables for many events - save your money if you like this kind of thing - go to Benidorm, it's cheaper!

Wasps made some meal times a misery. You do need to get out if you want to see the 'real' Turkey.

Would we go again, yes, but definitely not during the school holidays! The staff deserve better from their customers than what we experienced and we were certainly not alone in feeling this.

We stayed in the village part of Lykia world.

Our hotel room was very clean and someone came in to the room every day to clean and tidy it. The food was out of this world and the choice and presentation of the food was excellent.

We found the location of the hotel very good and there was plenty of things to do. The entertainment was brilliant and we found lots of things to keep us busy on a night. The staff around the complex were very friendly and by the second week of our stay we felt as though we had known some of them for ages as they addressed our children by there names.

The snoopies staff were just so kind and friendly and our little girl is missing them already.

We will definitely be visiting Lykia World again in the very near future.

Lykia World is good, very good but there are a few points I would like to make. The food is excellent for adults but limited for children who are less likely to try things they are not familiar with. The staff were generally very helpful but the bar service at the main village bar was poor. The room was excellent. Location is lovely but no shuttle service to Olu Deniz. Don't believe this resort is all inclusive its not. You have to pay for everything like most sport activities and drinks not at mealtimes. My final bill for my son and I was 200 pounds. Entertainment is very good especially the evening shows at the outdoor theatre.

My main complaint was about information on activities. I took my 14 year old son to Lykia because of all the activities. When we arrived to play football at 4.30 the first day we were told its adults only (nothing on the information sheet to this effect) The only way he could get an organised game was by going to the teen club which he refused to do as its not cool! It was therefore hard work to keep him entertained by we managed. Had similar problems with beach volleyball, tennis and basketball. I think Lykia needs to sort this out. The resort is ideal for young children but not great for teenagers.

However we had a great week and the resort is lovely in many ways. The food for adults is fabulous, most staff are great and the sea / beach is lovely. I will not go back to Lykia though as its rather isolated.
