Location
Usually we only try somewhere once but with LW we never seem to tire of it, it's like going home. The staff are often the same as well which means they obviously enjoy it there.
Can't wait til July 2005!!!

We found the restaurants excellent (particularly the Marina) the pool areas all superb, giving you the choice of a noisy day at the Paradise, or a quieter day at the other hotel pools. Lykia World's slightly remote location sometimes means you can feel a bit trapped, but a visit and dinner in Olu Deniz or Hisaronu every few days cures that.
One small tip - if you want to go to Fethiye, the Lykia World taxis will almost match the cost of taxi/bus or tour operator options, so if you fancy being more in control of your day/evening without added cost, do ask the taxi drivers for a quote.
Overall, a fabulous holiday, and one we intend to repeat in the next few years.

We stayed in the village but I thought I had booked an interconnecting room which I checked with Thomas Cook before the holiday. We ended up with a family room which had two beds (which were two couches made up as beds although totally adequate) in one room and a double bed with couch made up in the other room. I went to get it changed but was told I couldn't do as fully booked and was in the room the operators had booked. There were other families with the same complaint, in rooms differing from that which they thought they had booked. The most complaints came from people booked in Garden Rooms.
To overcome this we turned the beds around and there was enough room for the three girls to sleep together.
After the initial dissapointment, the room itself was excellent with plenty of room for the 5 of us, walk in wardrobe, and a walk in shower.
I would say the kids clubs did need some attention. OK for older children who did not need so much supervision. But my 3 year old twins would not stay in clubs. The English speaking staff were not good enough for the youngsters, and there were not enough of them. They also spent much of the time sorting out equipment for the activity which they should have had prepared (In my opinion).
That said I would definitely go back when the children are older the place has alot to offer with plenty for the children to do in and out of the clubs.
I would agree with most of the other reports about the food being good with alot of variety.
Beach not so good for youngsters, but you don't really need it as they have a small man made beach pool for the little ones.

I was playing pool with my son next to a very large glass window , and yes, the thick end of the que went through the glass accidentily, it was not safety glass and it cracked and shattered everywhere.
He was very lucky and was not hurt although his shirt was was torn slightly. The management wanted half of the cost of replaceing the glass but we refused to pay it did spoil our holiday slightly as discussions went on for several day afterwards.

Evening entertainment was "European" everything is repeated in 3 or 4 languages and can become tiresome after a few nights.
SAFETY was an issue when my supervised son accidently smashed a large glass window in the games room whilst playing pool. The glass broke all around him and cut his sweat shirt. It could have been a great deal worse.
The management were concerned for his health but when they saw he was ok they wanted

The only people I would not recommend a holiday here to is those with mobility problems or very small children, as Lykia World is situated literally on the side of a mountain, and as others have pointed out, it is not very disabled-friendly.
There are no lifts to any of the restaurants, and they all have to be accessed either up steps, a ramp or a very steep incline; as do the toilets. Fine perhaps if you are in a motorised buggy, but hard work if you are pushing a pram or a wheelchair or carrying small children.
Although there is a mini bus service which goes around the site fairly regularly, be warned that it stops at 7pm.
