Having stayed at many All-Inclusive hotels and reading the reports on here I did think we were in for a good holiday!
The hotel was very clean and it was nice to have an appartment, sooner than just a room. The hotel was on the small side but it was quite a friendly hotel and we met many nice people.
Food, at first it seemed o.k. but it did get repetative and there were some very strange combinations! As I am a vegetarian I did struggle as I do not want to eat salad everyday but sometimes there were special dishes. Puddings were very limited and you did have to wait for a table at times. The breakfast was quite good, but beware the slow toaster!!!
Entertainment!!!
Thomas Cook you should be ashamed of yourselves!!!!
The reps had 2/3 nights off a week and there was no entertainment, not what you want at an All-Inclusive!!! I felt sorry for the 2 reps as it seems that do not have the resources or staff that this hotel needed for the number of guests there!! One act was dire(a visual comedy act), people were laughing as it was so bad.
On a Saturday night the Reps performed at a club down the road, leaving us with( yes you guessed it) no entertainment at the hotel! You had to buy the tickets but I believe that some of the money went to charity. You do not expect to have no entertainment on any night let alone a Saturday night!!!!

Myself and my sister along with her partner have just visited the ficus in lanzarote and what can i say. After reading some of the reviews on this site i did not no what to expect but it was fantastic, couldn't have asked for a better location a stones throw away from the beach which was clean and fresh, the hotel/apartments were very clean and tidy with friendly staff that served very generous measures of alcohol (just what you need). The rep Jo was lovely and always on hand, very helpful. Dave and Simon the entertainment reps was of that, entertaining. We really enjoyed our holiday at the ficus and we are very sad to be back. We are planning the vsit the ficus again later in the year. Thank you to everyone at the ficus for making our holiday special.

Had a great holiday at this hotel. On our arrival we were greated by a very friendly manager who showed us to our room which was clean and tidy and well appointed. The pool area was excellent with plenty of sun beds and a large swimming pool which was frezing but once you got in was fine. The food was the usual Spanish cusine, there was always something to eat. The entertainment was firstclass. From about 10am Simon and Dave were around the pool playing games, killer pool, darts, French boules, water polo, lilo races, quizes ect ect. All good fun. Just watch out for Dave at the water polo he cheats. Then at night the two lads kept everyone happy with loads of different shows. The Brazilian dancers is a must for all to see. Overall this was a great hotel and i met loads of great people by the pool and i would go back to this hotel.

Wev'e been home for a month now, how gutted am I, The Ficus is absolutly lovely, very clean, rooms and pool area imculate along with the dinning room and bar!!

The food is great im not a fussy eater and found something different every meal, never ate the same meal twice!, on the other hand my husband is fussy but never went hungry!!!

The location is great a little out of the way but quiet at night so sleeping is not a problem, its a lovely walk round to la churcus beach with quite a few shops and bars, hotel staff friendly and helpful, the rep Jo is also very helpful, Simon and Dave are the entertainers and they do a grand job!

Simon in bad need of a dentist but a very funny geek, meaning that in a nice way, all the kids love him! Dave well what can I say the wanna be pretty boy but he gets on with his job well.

Yes would definitely return!

It Looked a Basic Complex to begin with... Had alot Of hidden features, such as a childrens Playground and a Volleyball Court which were out the way, We found them by accident ( Got LOST ) lol.

Weren't happy with only one warm Shower!!! Somehow we managed to turn off the hot water?! God knows how? Luckily for us the weather was on our side.

The pool could have done with a heater, the older kids and Parents didn't have the guts too bare the frost lol.

The Entertainment was very good considering they didn't have the best resources. We had to play Footie in another Complex!! But it didn't dishearten the kids.

The main rep Simon could have brushed his teeth a little bit more, other than that he was spot on. Sang and Danced everynight.

the fiscus hotel,in Costa tiguse is a good hotel to stay at we were all inclusive and we enjoyed it there.
we found the food good and there was plenty of choice.
all the staff were nice and the room as big enough,we did not go to the show bar in the evenings as most of the entertainment was aimed at childeren so we went out most nights.

Hiya everyone, Well I have just returned from the Ficus Hotel on the 4th april 2008 and I must say I was pleasantly surpriced.

On our arrival we were met by a very pleasant manager he booked us is in without any fuss what so ever, on arriving at our room we found it to be clean and spacious and fresh we also had a big balcony which was great.

The hotel grounds were we kept clean and the swimming pool was immaculate although it was a shade cold.

The staff in general were very nice and always had a smile on their faces when approached and so hard working. The restaurant, well the food was very good indeed something for everyone and yet again they were so hard working.

The hotel entertainment in out first week was very good indeed my son enjoyed himself so much and made friends. The local beers and spirts were fine and as a all inclusive you had it in abudance you really were looked after so much.

But the big thing about The Ficus as it is a small comlex you had a wonderfull freindly atmosphere about the place now that my freinds is well worth the money on it's own.

I thank everyone one at the Ficus for the wonderfull holiday we had and the great freinds we met, before I went I heard lots of not so nice reports of the Ficus my advice take no notice go and enjoy yourself and make your own mind up.

Once again well done the ficus cannot fault you.

The hotel is set at the end of a road(2mins walk to the centre} which I think is great so at night you have no problems sleeping its quiet and peacefull.

Would I go again? No because I like to try differant places and I have never gone back to the same place.

I will definitely treasure my stay at the Ficus happy holidays everyone one final piont the wind can be a pain but this is March /April I'm talking about.

Just arrived home and already wish we was back there, we have just had a fantastic week. After reading some of the reviews before we left I was a little unsure of what to expect, but I need'nt of worried at all, the staff on reception were very polite and helpful and so was the staff in the restaurant and bar, the apartment was clean and spacious, the best block to be in is block 3 if you can get it, we were in block 3 on the top floor and had a great view over the pool. The food was excellent, it catered for all tastes, there is a microwave if you want to get you food piping hot but we never had problem, there is plenty of drinks to choose from and the staff are mor than happy to make what ever you ask them for. Katherine and John were great entertainers and their own cabaret is worth watching, they also keep kids entertained throughout the day. Helen was our rep and too was very helpful, perhaps one of the best reps we have had. We met some very nice peolple. We are already looking to book to go again next year.
