The food was repetative great if you like chips. Breakfast was a bit slow dishes not refilled unless you asked. Suppose to be all inclusive, at supper time ok for ham and bread but you had to ask.
Rooms were clean should not have to hire a kettle and a bucket under the sink to catch the leak not good on the eye.
Entertainment great if you had kids and like Butlins which I did when my kids were little.
Not a place for couples.

The apartments are cleaned daily to a very high standard also the pool is kept spotless. The only day it is not cleaned is Sunday.
The food is great i have a very fussy 8 year old and all she done was eat,there is always something different.The location is fine lots of bars and clubs near but not near enough to disturb you.
The beach is a good 5/10 minute walk but we are not beach people so only went once. The enterainment what can I say, never have I laughed so much, Lynne and John make the ficus.There is always something going on for all ages.
The hotel staff are very friendly.
I am going back 2007 and would recommed the Ficus to all.

We stayed at the Ficus from may 4th to May 18th.
Had a fab time staff were really friendly and the food was really nice.
The location was a bit out of the way but only a 10 min walk from everything. Dippy Lynne and Dan were great entertainers but Dan went to work in the Teguisol on our last night so good luck John your going to need it.
Would visit this hotel again as we had a great time.

We stayed at this hotel from the 18/5/06 to 1/6/06. Reading the previous reviews we were very apprehensive about the standard of the accomadation and food, we need not have worried. The hotel staff were very polite, the cleanliness of the rooms, dining area, pool and bar was faultless. They served a wide selection of food at breakfast lunch and dinner with snacks in between. There was always plenty of choice and a microwave was to hand if you needed to warm your food up, but we didn't ever need to.
The entertainment provide by John and Lynn was exceptional, if you are going to stay at this hotel and really want to have a good time then you need to join in with the activitives and entertainment. The nights when Lynn or John had a well deserved night off, local entertainment was brought in; this ranged from brazilian & spanish dancers to parrott shows and magicians, but this was not nearly as good as the entertainment provided by Lynn and John.
Overall we had a great time and would stop at this Hotel again.

We came to this resort, as we had stopped at Puerto del carmen a few years back. Ee decided to book up at the Ficus in Costa teguise.
As soon as we got here we settled in well. The apartment was very clean and the weather was superb.
The food was really good and the staff were really helpful when you needed them.
I think the location is ideal for people who have familys, and last but not least the entrtainment was awesome.
John and Lynn were brilliant, always there having a laugh and guarantee to put a smile on your face!!!
Defo thumbs up and we would visit this hotel again. p.s. just wanna say a big hi to stevie p and fatboy b as we were there when they stayed. You were brill along with stiles and the crew!!!

When booking this hotel we were told we could pay for breakfast. We did this on a couple of occasions and the food was good.
We then found out that the hotel was being renovated for all inclusive starting on the 1st May. There was no entertainment and no bar/restaurant open. All other tour operators moved their people but only Thomas Cook and Sunset did nothing.
The hotel staff were not interested in any complaints. Also you are not told you have to hire a kettle/toaster and microwave on self catering over two weeks this can be quite expensive.
The hotel may be better when it is all inclusive but for all inclusive I think the hotel is very basic.

There is no way on this planet that I or anyone else who stayed in these apartments ever revist them. It has possibly been the worst holiday I have been on in a long time. The restaurant was meant to be open every day, it never opened once whilst I was there.
The bar also never once opened apart from the welcome meeting it looked nice then but that was the only time we saw it.
The staff were not very helpful!

We went to this hotel for a new year break and some sunshine. We could not fault the cleanliness of out apartment, the cleaners were there a lot during the week.
The pool and pool area was immaculate, cleaned every morning. The Pool Bar was supposed to be open from 10am until 5.30 - it often didn't open until 11am and was always closed by 5pm. The food was awful. Everything was cold and if there was a sauce it had a thick skin on it, the pasta tasted like it was made from a packet and was very watery. Luckily they provided a microwave so you could heat up what you were able to eat, otherwise it was stone cold, even if you went down as soon as the restaurant opened.
We didn't have children with us, but there were a lot in the hotel and the choice of food for them was terrible, a lot of them were surviving the whole time on chips, bread rolls, ice cream and fruit.

Arrived at hotel reception looked like faulty tours.
Apartments could do with a good revamp although maids tried to keep clean .
We were there one week bed linen never changed. Breakfast was terrible. Would never go to this hotel again.

We are just back from the ficus hotel.
The rooms were Imaculate every 2nd day the rooms were cleaned the cleaner was a pleasent lady.
The hotel food was sometimes cold due to air-conditioning but was nice.
Hotel and bar staff were very nice,pool area was Imaculate and pool was cleaned every morning ang night.
The entertainers (andy,donna,sharron) were very pleasant and funny they worked hard.
We would recommend this hotel.
