The resort of Cayo Coco is a typical all inclusive hotel based island, nothing really exceptional outside your hotel.You can however use the other Sol Hotels for the day if you wish. The Beach is absolutely beautiful on one side of the island but very shingly on the other. We feel that once you have been to Cayo Coco there really is no need to return as you would have seen everything.

If it's a relaxing holiday you're after then Cayo Coco is for you. The beach and sea are fantastic but there is little else there apart from the hotels.

The resort itself is very clean, never any litter. Beach was very clean. Entertainment was good.

As this is an Island and is only joined to Cuba by a causeway, the entertainment outside the Hotel is limited unless you get a taxi to the next hotel or book a trip out to Cuba. In the Hotel there is entertainment every night, there are fantastic performing dancers who try to make it varied. There is a games for the children and tennis courts and ball games are available. The Evening bar staff at the 24 hour bar are also quite entertaining, and in the lobby bar there is a pianist, but this bar did get rather busy. More varied entertainment in the hotel in an evening would have made the stay even better.

The resort was very clean, although it consists of a number of hotels rather than a main street, so the hotels staff keep their own areas clean. The entertainment is also based around the hotels and so could be varied

The resort is basic just a few hotels and one local restaurant which I would not like to vist as the locals who do not work in tourism are not very friendly and tend to did like holiday makers.
But dont worry there is no need cuba is a wonderful place with so much culture caracter and charm I would love to return in future.

In the Cayos the hotel is the resort. The local town is c.50 miles away well worth a visit. There is one outdoor disco we found on the Cayo Coco but only open the odd night. The Cayos are a perfect beach holiday location but little else.
We have been twice, and are heading to Cayo Guilermo later this year for Autumn sun and rest.
