The only thing that can be said about the Cayo Coco is that the beach is lovely.

The resort was beautiful! There was greenery eveywhere and the pools were warm and clean! The entertainment was good as besides the shows held at night the Animacion department tried to get everyone involved in activities during the day. There were activities on the beach for the kids and we also had beach volleyball and pool volleyball with Canada vs Cuba as it appeared all the guests were from Ontario and Quebec. I just wish there were people from other parts of Canada and Europe as well. Do not adjust your eyes but we also played ball hockey one day as they have nets set up and hockey sticks for everyone. There's nothing like hockey when it's +32 outside.
The beach was absolutely stunning as the water was cyrstal clear and the sand white. The only downside with going in low season is that half the resort is closed. On the upside, you did not have to wait to be served at the bars and the pools were never too crowded.

Extremely clan and tidy resort with no litter at all. The beaches were cleaned daily. Resort entertainment was excellent. They all worked so hard to put on good shows. Returning tomorrow.

Melia Cayo Coco was a 5 star resort. Compared to other 5 star resorts we stayed at in Dominican and Mexico, this falls a bit short.
The food and drinks were great. Rooms were nice. We were in a two floor, 4 room complex. I recommend the lagoon rooms, it's worth the extra money.
The pool and beach were a disappointment. The pool was too cold to swim in, and the beach was full of jelly fish.
Staff were great.
Day trips were good, especially the boat/snorkel trip.

Very clean and well kept. Completely spotless. Evidence of high standards.
The resourt on the whole was dirty with rubbish left in the grounds, glass, cigarete ends etc. on the floor in the same place for the whole time we were there. Dead decaying crabs in the flower bed outside the Gym for our entire stay.
The beach was generally lovely, the water clear and green. A tractor came along once a day and collecter the detrios from the tide line, plastic cups up the beach were never collected. One day I picked up three bits of broken glass from the shoreline
