Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram.
Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

Protaras is quite a pleasant suprise. We were there in mid/late October and were amazed at how busy the place still was. There were a wide selection of bars and restaurants on the stretch- as many as you could possible need. There was plenty of entertainment in the resort and some very good restraunts ranging from pub meal standard to reasonably high class. I would rate this resort above many on the Island. It doesn't have the yobbish nature of Ayia Napa but still feels busy and fun.

We were out of main part of town. Our bit had three small beaches one of which was really lovely but had rocky bits under the water.Had some nice bars and restaurants. Good entertainment at Station Bar dj, karaoke, sound a like acts and great drag act - do not let him know if its your birthday as he will wrap his legs round the neck of any man celebrating birthday etc.Nearby other bars had karaoke and music.
Main town had two lovely long beaches and loads of bars, shops and restaurants. We did not try many of them out as too far to walk down there and we had bars on our doorstep. Had themed bars with entertainment: Pharoahs, Flinstones and many others.There was a spectacular water show which people liked.

Nothing negative to say about Protaras. The resort is ideal for families. The locals are very friendly. The beach is idylic, with great water sports available. The resort is very clean. I would have no reservations about letting my teenage daughter out on her own at night as it is feels a very safe place. There are some lovely resturants, i would highly recommend Molti on the main street, this was a new restaurant with a varied menu and great value for money. I would definately vistit this resort again and have been five times already.

The beaches are very clean. The bays are excellent. Some restaurants were cheap and some very expensive. Bars are very cheap with a lot having entertainment on. Lots of shops. The resort itself is very flat. Lots of water sports and things to do.

We were recommended Protaras by friends of ours and are glad we listened to them. We found the resort clean, there was plenty of entertainment for all ages and could not fault anything. As we are not beach lovers we didn't go to the beach unless going on boat trip, but what we did see of it we liked. The standard of cleanliness we could not fault and yes we will definitely be holidaying in Protaras again.

Lots of building work going on in Pernera at moment although looked as though some may be near completion.
Only worry is that the new builds may change the character of this small resort which has always been much quieter than Protoras.
Overall good resort plenty of tavernas and bars. Some excellent deals at the time of our stay and did not spend as much as we expected after introduction of Euro.We had Stayed in Pefkos, Rhodes in August and found Pernera cheaper and better value for money.

The resort was very derilict from everything, was in the middle of ayia napa and protaras and needed a taxi to get there because they are about 15mins drive, taxi costs 15euros to ayia napa and8/9 euros protaras, so car hire would be a good idea... Only good thing about resoret was konnos beach. there was no resort entertainment, the cleansiness of the reosrt was OK except for the roadwork outside teh hotel which made it very dusty.

The resort was lovely and clean and not far from either protaras or aya napa by local bus which cost 1.50 euro .
The bus can be located by the windmill bar..
Please try the Blue bay restaraunt/bar on penera beach..

Reccommend Cheers and Mr Cod for value for food and charges. Plenty of water sport attractions and boat trips available.

plenty of shops, bars and restaraunts within easy walking distance from one end to the other.
The sandy beaches are lovely although could be a little cleaner(ciggie butts but no rubbish)
the sea is so clean when calm it could have come out of a tap and it is very safe to swim in
