Get a ground room floor as it will help as there are no lifts to the other floors so it can be a bit of a walk with a pram.
Make sure on the strip you visit the Meze restaurant with the funny symbols in the name. It is one of the best Meze places in Protaras. Also Molti was a great restaurant to stay in.

protarus can be a bit loud and not everyones cup of tea.
lots of tribute acts and sky t.v.as previous reported a bit
like blackpool in places.beaches in area good and plenty of
water sports.lots of mostly good places to eat.

i never seen any litter on the streets of protaras at all.
they really do keep it clean,but people seem to use litter bins abroad.
entertainment is all elvis,please someone must stop it cause everyone is getting fed up with elvis in most bars.
o and karaoke went out 5 years ago,it sounds horrible when you walk past these pubs and here this horrible noise these people make trying to sing.
the beach is lovely and the sea is as clear as glass.
i would visit again but only when elvis has left the building.

we enjoyed our stay in Protaras we thought it was a very nice resort with plenty to do, a must is take a ride on the big red open top bus it is brilliant over two hours of touring and Alan the guide very informative about 1974 Turkish invasion takes you to see some of the ghost villages viewed from a distance, also many other villages,we thought the beaches very clean lots of water sports and amenaties, sea crystal clear great for snorkeling,we would visit this resort again.

we go back year after year to protaras. lots of good eating and entertainment without being noisy.

protatas is very clean plenty of places to eat didnt have a bad meal all holiday cost us about 25euro with a drink the entertainment was varied a must is the drag club at the very end of the stip or start of it depends which end your staying

protaras as improved over the years plenty to do at night there is a bar showing latest movies the ghetto bar had a beatles tribute band who were excellent and not forgetting the ubiquitious elvis we found the chinese restaurant [fig tree bay end]not up to standard. take a trip on the open red bus a pleasant excursion and well informed can be hot but ok when moving

Same old tatty shops, same bars making the same noises but somewhere to walk of an evening. Beach is excellent and going in September the pool area is not full of screaming kids and parents, dead easy to get a lounger, all in all still a good beach holiday apart from the apprehension about whether you are going to get a room there or not.

Fig Tree beach is lovely with lots of watersports.

The resort was lovely, and Fig tree bay is a must see, it really is as nice as the reviews say, and we were about 10 minutes walk away. The beaches have many water sports activities at quite a reasonable cost.
The resort has lots of restaurants and bars, there are a few clubs, but for people looking for a clubbing holiday ayia napa would be more suited.

Pernera was a nice small resort with plenty of places to eat or have a drink. You can either walk in to Protarus or get a taxi for 10Euro. Much larger and more to do with an excellent beach.
