we went to the sun palce hotel in may 2008.when we arrived we were put on the top floor,as we have a disabled daughter we asked if we could be put on the ground floor,full marks to the reception staff the following morning they put us in the family block which was excellent.as for the cleanliness of the hotel it was very very clean.the location of the hotel was excellent there were bars and shops outside the hotel and you were 10 min from the centere of falaraki. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.the animation team were the best we have ever seen,they were very friendly and tried to get evreybody involved day and night.zolo,runuka,neno and lazlo were excellent 10 out of 10.we will be going back in september because we had such a good time.

In one word Excellent! I stayed at the sun palace hotel the last week of may 2008. Me and my friend thought the hotel was fantastic, best quality we had been too. Couldn't complain about the food, plenty of food and drink all day. All staff that worked at the hotel were brilliant and helpful, regardless of the job they were doing. There was always someone cleaning the pool area keeping it tidy and safe. As for the animation team they were brilliant. They wanted all ages involved, they was things to do for the adults and the kids club looked like they were having a great time. Was so impressed have already booked my holiday with my boyfriend to go back next may 2009.

We were impressed with the hotel, room was lovely and large. Perfect location, food was okay, but could have been better/hotter/more variety. Everything was in sauces - doesn't appeal to everyone. The animation team were superb. We went for a rest and do not usually partake of the entertainment, but they were so willing to put themselves out and get everyone involved, that it was hard not to join in. Ralucca is quite quiet, but very friendly, Sarah is vivacious and a bundle of energy, and Sonia - well what can I say, she's funny, energetic, friendly and a ball of fun, but maintains her professionalism. She was still laughing when she went under when someone threw her in the pool! Keep it up, we had a great time.

the hotel is beautifully clean with staff always on the go. however we had booked a twin room for 3 and were put in a family room. ok lots more space but the room hadn't been refurbished and the twin rooms were. the room itself was very large, big bathroom, double bedroom and another bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed. must say we were reallt impressed with the amount of storage. there was also a fridge and a hairdryer. pur air conditioning wasn't working very well and although reported twice to reception we were told it was working fine. maids cleaned room every day, fresh towels daily, linen changed every 2 days. the pool area of the hotel was fab, the first week we were there a lot of people were complaining as people coming in from their nights out were putting towels on sunbeds, so hotel brought in rule of no sunbeds until 8 am and if beds were left unattended by 10.30am the towels were taken off and placed in reception. staff in hotel were great always service with a smile especially from goerge who keeps the pool area clean and katerina the waitress in the restaurant who looks like tricia off emmerdale. the location of the hotel was on the outskirts of the resort which suited us fine but some people said it was a bit far from all the action. we found the food in the hotel to be very repetative and the snacks were simply whatever was left over from mealtimes before hand. i think the main problem with the food was the fact that it was never hot we tried in vain to get our son to eat spag bol which he loves at home but he just refused saying the food was cold. one thing that disappointed me was the fact that there was always meats on offer such as lamb, pork and chicken but they were always served covered in sauces better to have the sauces seperate and be able to have them if you want. the entertainment in one word was dire and by no means am i knocking the animation team, Sonia, Sarah Zollo and crew they really do try their best but considering the money the hotel is bringing in the amount they are given for entertainment is pathetic, if you want a real laugh try the kareoke with Elvis on a sunday it's hilarious especially when you've had a good drink. another plus point is the cocktails you can have on AI. we wouldn't visit this hotel again because we were disappointed with the food and entertainment but we also like to travel to different places each year.

children meal lacked imagination and repetitive.
location of the hotel was great, near to clean beach, near to resort yet far from noise.
The staff of Sun palace are just the best.( ever smiling Kostas, cheeky Kristina)
The weakest link in the staff was the General Manager who was non existence. It took one week to rectify a noisy air con.

The animation team was best I have seen. They were just right for the job to keep us amused. well done ZOLO, Sara, Mayyyyyyyybe veruca and temptress Sonja

Im 15 and thought that the hotel was a dump! The hotel was untidy and we were given a family room which wasnt one. It had 4 beds squeezed into 1 tiny room. Then there was the food. Even worse than the rooms. It was cold and manky. The location was ok, close 2 falaraki center. The entertainment was bad, not because of the people that ran it, they were great but because they were given 150 euros per year to spend on entertainment which is well... rubbish. I wouldnt come here again, even if my mum and dad made me.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the sun palace and have had a fabulous time. When we first arrived we were put in the family rooms that hadn't been refurbished and like previous reviews had said they were definately not 4 star. After complaining to our rep we were moved, albeit 5 nights later to the rooms which had already been refurbished and they were lovely. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard and the beds were changed every couple of days. I thought the food was really good considering that I am a vegetarian & always found a plateful of food that I could eat at breakfast, lunch & dinner. There were themed nights which consisted of an Italian, Greek, Mexican & Chinese night. The best part of this holiday was the animation team who worked extremely hard to make our holiday as enjoyable as possible, so much so that my 2 children were crying when we had to come home. We would definately book this holiday again but only if the same animation team were there again because they were fab especially Zollo, Sara & Raluka.

just returned from our 5th visit to rhodes. we stayed in one of the refurbished rooms. very nice. the reception area is lovely. rooms cleaned every day to a good standard and always with a smile. the pool man worked hard all day keeping pool area clear of rubbish.
the food was not as good as it has been on previous visits. greek night was the nicest. childrens buffet is not very good as it is always spag bol pasta and chips. the food was never hot but maybe this is how the greeks like their food! the salads and desserts are always a good bet.
the location of the hotel is great as the beach is a short walk across the road. it is only about 10-15 minute walk to the resort center. you will get a friendly welcome from terry at mike's bar.
the staff at the hotel cannot be faulted. we had a very warm welcome as we had been there before. they all work hard.
the entertainment is the only let down for the hotel. they are a team of four but you hardly ever see the team leader (sonia). she is austrian and does not appear to like english guests. the others zollo, reluka and sarah all work hard and with a smile. bingo was fun. missed killer pool and water volley. they were always popular activities. very disappointed that we were in greece but club dance was a spanish song! also lots of austrian songs played even national anthem. not good!
would i return to this hotel? only if i felt i was in greece and not austria, but would be great to have the other three back there.

Just arrived back after spending 2 brilliant weeks here. Having read the previous reports we were concerned at what we would find. On arrival we were given one of the old family rooms but having expressed that this was not what we expected for 4* they moved us to one of the refurbished family rooms which was far superior. The food was good with plenty of choice. We had various themed food nights including a BBQ, Chinese, Italian, Mexican and a Greek Night. Both my children ate well and did not struggle to find something to eat. The maid service was excellent with clean towels daily and fresh bedding regularly. The entertainment team worked extremely hard during the day and at night providing good family fun. All the rooms will have been refurbished by the start of the summer 2008.
