we stayed in two family rooms which were next to each other. The rooms were very clean and were the biggest that either of us had stayed in.We were supplied with a cot which was of a good standard and our rooms were cleaned every day.

We found all members of staff to be very friendly, from the cleaners to the resteraunt manager.the resteraunt was a buffet style and the food was very good with something different for everybody.

This hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and if you turn right out of the hotel you are a few minutes away from a number of good resteraunts and shops.

The entertainment team worked very hard but I think maybe they could find something for younger children to do as they seemed to work from five years up.

Overall I really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

The location of the hotel is very good for all concerned, being on bus route's etc and also quiet location.

We were in room 422, annexe very good view, quiet spacious although the wallpaper was pretty poor. The maid service very good, general staff very good with few exceptions, the usual 'glare' towards women but we found this amusing rather than threatening.

Food pretty varied - for a 2 wk stay in one place - most nights good selection with again the odd faux pas but overall good.

Drinks seemed ok but again if you were to tip waiters etc or be a female there seemed to be a possibility of stronger drinks? Again though very good all in.

Entertainment was not your normal professional show but again over the piece good for a laugh. Obviously with one exception per week the shows were watchable and a good atmosphere evolved throughout.

Generally the complex is well run throughout with good people working there. This was our first time to Greece and will certainly not be our last based on this experience.

The hotel is not your 'modern' hotel but still is pretty good - on our experience.

I cannot comment on comparables with other Greek hotels etc as obvious.

Would go back if going to Rhodes again but will almost certainly check another complex/island out.

Met a few good 'friends' along the way and had a very worthy experience based on what we paid for it.

Stayed in a Family Room, best room we have ever stayed in. Its the first time as parents we've actually had a bed to sleep in, we usually end up on settees while the kids have the beds.

The location of the hotel was perfect, 5 mins walk out of Faliraki so you didnt hear any noise. The food was good, always hot & we never struggled to find something different to eat, always went back for seconds!

The entertainment team were friendly & always did their best. The evening entertainment wasn't as good but I would put this down to the management.

A hotel of this rating should provide professional entertainment. Stefan, Peter, Casper, Nicker & Yanna did a great job especially with the water gym & the kids clubs.

Nice hotel right near everything.

Lovely big pool. Food was ok but bit boring. Hotel rooms kept spotless.

Barstaff and entertainers very very friendly.

My only few complaints about this hotel was during the day while you were sleeping or relaxing on your sunlounger the enertainers pestered you lots even when you kindly were saying no thanks to joinging in on the activities.

The only complaint which was major was that the entertainment on a night time was a heap of rubbish.
My som was 15 yrs old and they was nothing at all for him to do , you really need children under 10 yrs old to go to this hotel and older children then I promise you will be dissappointed.

The hotel is stated as a 4 star hotel but in my opinion was more like a 2 star.

Nice hotel only downside was the night time entertainment was really crap and thats a nice word for it !!!!.

Daytime entertainment was good, but what a let down when it came to the night time.

Enertainers seem to bother you lots and keep asking you to join in things.

Hotel staff and bar staff were very helpful and friendly.

I was really looking forward to this holiday until I arrived and the night time entertainment was such a let down.

Paid all inclusive but ended up having to go out everynight to be entertained elsewhere.

Hotel was more like a 2/ 3 star and a 4 star as stated in brochure, but a least the hotel was kept very clean and tidy.

Hotel staff very friendly.

Nice hotel but I was really disappointed by the night time entertainment.

Had to take my kids elsewhere to be entertained as they was nothing at all for them to keep them amused at this hotel.

What a let down.

We booked this holiday ourselves, booking the flights seperatly from the hotel who we booked through MedHotels. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 9 and 10 and were a little concerned with the reputation of Faliraki before we went. We shouldn't have been worried at all.

The hotel is fantastic. It is about 10 minutes walk from the main 'Bar Street' in Faliraki but close to shops, bars and restaurants.

The hotel was very clean although looks a little older than its 12 years in a couple of places. We had a ground floor family room with a double bed for us and 2 single beds for the boys in a seperate room (bliss!).

The room had air conditioning that could be left on all day (a lot of hotels need the room key to be inserted into a slot before you can switch on the a/c therefore meaning that it only works when you are in the room) and a fridge and TV (BBC World being the only English speaking channel).

We asked for a room in a quieter part of the hotel when we booked and I would recommend that you do the same if you have small children as there are some rooms overlooking the outdoor bar area that has entertainment / music until midnight.

The food was excellent. Having been on all-inclusive holidays a few times in the past, the food can be very repetative and boring, but the Sun Palace tried very hard to vary the menu and we never had a meal where there wasn't something new to try.

In addition, we never had to queue although I would say that the dining room was a liitle small and could get a little warm at times (I looked like the hotel has been extended a couple of times but the dining room had been left at its original size).

The entertainment team worked very hard all day and provided thier own shows in the evenings which kept us amused and the children occupied.

Drinks were plentiful (albeit very weak at the outdoors bar) with no queues at night which we have found very frustrating at other hotels in the past.

Sunbeds and parasols were free but you had to reserve them by 9.00am otherwise you missed out. They have a policy that they cannot be reserved before 7.00 am which works very well.

Local to the hotel there are shops and a lovely beach, together with a small fairground the kids loved.
Overall we would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is fantasic - Faliraki not deserving its reputation at all (we walked around the town at 10.30 some nights and there were lots of families with small children) - and Rhodes is a beautiful Island.

It is listed as a 4 star hotel and as long as you remember that it is a Greek 4 star hotel (about a British 3 Star) then youb will thoroughly enjoy yourselves.

We shall be back!

The hotel itself is situated just in front of a small sewer which smelt really fowl for the whole two weeks, and kept me awake on a couple of nights because of the mixture of rotting sewage and the heat.

The bar staff were friendly but the entertainment team kept on staring at all the women and trying to get them out after work! The food was ok but not really enough variety, but no problems with it.

The cleaners didn't seem to care if you were still asleep when they came around each morning to change the bed sheets, even with the 'do not disturb' signs out!

Overall I wouldn't go back there but would still visit the island!

We visited the sun palace in July 05, on arrival the staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a family room and were pleased with the size of the room and the cleanliness.

The food in the hotel was repetative and cold. The drinks at the pool bar were nothing more than sugared water, the inside bar was the best place to get your drinks.

Sun beds were plentiful during the first week but on the second week if you wanted a sun bed you had to get up at 7.30am, this was mainly due to people putting their towels on the sun beds the night before.

Now lets talk about the "entertainment"! during the day it was fine with things like Darts, Water Gym, Volley Ball and many more activities to choose from, on an evening it was a different matter the team tried their best but unfortunatley their best was not good enough infact they were utter rubbish.

I feel that if this had been a half board hotel then the management would have done more to ensure that we stayed in the hotel on an evening, and spent our money buying their drinks but because we had already paid, being all inclusive, they did not seem to care wether we stayed in the hotel or went into town.
