Wonderful holiday, lots to do. Very friendly people and plenty of good food.
I would recommend a night out at La Fiesta, it is a great English Bar. With friendly staff, well priced drinks and great evening entertainment!

excellent location at the top of the hill with great veiws, nice walk down the hill to the beaches below, with only a cheap taxi ride back to the hotel. The two beaches we visited were of excellent standard with lifeguards and were very clean...

The El Greco is in a fantastic location in the quieter end of Puerto Rico with plenty of wonderful restaurants close by (Try Oscars, La Paloma and The Clan Italian for starters). The main bar at this end is the Hawaii Bar - next door to the Arizona - is across from the harbour and is great to sit and watch the world and his dog go by or to watch the varied sports programmes they show or simply to listen to the great range of music that they play - all that variety and waiter service to boot. Look out for the parrots!
If you want things a bit more lively and don't mind the hassle of the 'Lucky Lucky' men or being dragged into restaurants even though you have already eaten then the main Commercial Centre is only a ten minute walk away through some beautiful parks. Downstairs are the Tax Free shops (Europa have some fantastic discounts on all ranges) with the bars and restaurants upstairs.
We found this holiday to be one of the cheapest self catering experiences and never stopped eating. Spar is just along the beach near to the local pool and stocked everything you could possibly want to eat or drink and are really cheap on well known sun lotions - save your weight at the airport and buy it here! We took more than enough money away with us and ended up bringing half of it back (and that's with the Wine, Perfume and cigarettes that we brought back and all the Duty Free, drinks and snacks on the plane).
All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the El Greco to anyone considering a holiday in Puerto Rico. We are definitely going back and the El Greco is marked as our destination.

Puerto Rico is a lovely resort, there are loads of lovely restaurants, especially Oscars, the food there was devine.
Loads of bars and clubs and the drink is reasonable, the cocktails can be very potent when you're not expecting it though.
Well worth doing the touristy things on GC, like visiting Palmitos Park and Puerto Mogan.
Avoid scuba diving with Aquanauts- one days shore diving cost me 83euros and it wasn not worth it. Try some of the other scuba places in the Europa Centre....

Try the Irish Cottage at Europa for a warm Irish blarny reception and a booze cruise I wish I'd gone on.
There was more cockroaches near the main shopping centre but there are a few at the top end of the resort.
Taxis are very useful in this resort and normally cost no more than three euros and both the main beach and amadores further along the coast are fantastic. Amadores is a fab beach but there are a lot of locals visit this beach, the shops and cafes are top quality. Puerto Rico is different and the Harbour boasts loads of entertainment and boat trips further up the coast.

Puerto Rico is a great resort,many bars,restaurants,with very reasonable prices.
Harbour very nice,lots of choice for boat trips,fishing etc.
Small water park,clean and great fun,food reasonable,plenty of staff,all very approachable and helpful.
My family and friends all think this is a great resort and can't wait to come back,equally good winter or summer

We stayed in Puerto Rico first time there it was nice and hot, plently of shops and bars. Best place to eat in San Miguels, staff there very nice, love kids.
Great value for money, the beach was nice there is also a better beach at Ammardores a short walk around the coastal path, beware of time share we were caught twice.
The boat trips were also good we went for an hour up the coast in a glass bottom boat we would go back Puerto Rico just not to nevada.

you cannot go wrong in puerto rico for bars and restaurants and shops but look out for the african woman, when they approach they are the friendliest people you will meet, but they will put a bracelet made of beads around your wrist and then take as much money as they can of you. when you see them cross your arms across your chest and walk quickly past them or it will cost you.

The resort had everything we wanted. The facilities were great and there was plenty of selection for all.
