The hotel rooms were dirty and smelly, there was not enough towels and our room only had one key.
Food was good as were the staff very friendly. Hotel was sited of the main street.
No one on reception during our stay so do not leave keys on reception.
If and when there was entertainment it was good but not enough of it.

We have just got back from a great week in the Oylum Garden Hotel. My 2 Year old son Luke loved it, and the staff treated him like a prince, constantly entertaining and caring for him.
The basement rooms are no longer used so ignore the negative reports from last year. This hotel is quite basic, but it is clean and the staff will respond to any complaints etc. The people are fantastic and will make your holiday.
The location is very central and it is quiet at night. The Turkish night was great fun and should not be missed.
As a bit of a Turkey fanatic (24 times so far!)I can honestly say that value for money wise this hotel is second to none, and the bar staff and waiters are amongst the friendliest I have found.
Special thanks to Albert, Jacob, Mustafa and Aslan (Chef!), we will miss you boys but see you again in September.

Just got back from the best holiday ever.
Would highly recommend this hotel because of location and the staff (especially Albert) this was my first time in Turkey and look forward to going back next year.
Please go and get on the bbq boat trip with Cheeky bugger. You can find him by the Coco Beach restaurant next to the beach... a fantastic day out.

I went to Oylem Gardens the other year I thought it was brilliant, I would love to go again.
I thought the location was good, it was right near restaurants, bars and not that far away from the beach.
I thought the staff where great especially Jacob and Albert, they where friendly lads who made me laugh.

HI , Just thought I would inform everyone that the reports from last year are not true as to date. I came back from the Oylum Gardens Yesterday after a great 2 weeks with my Mum and Sister.
The staff Albert, Mike, Musty and Jacob where great and very freindly in fact they made the holiday.
My mum has mobility problems and was using her wheelchair when she couldnt manage to walk far, on these occasions the staff assisted when we needed help.
The rooms are basic but cleaned daily, the beds was changed every 3 days and clean towles everyday. The food in the bar/resturant was very good.
The air conditoning was

The staff at this hotel are fantastic. They made our holiday as well. It is a basic hotel but it doesn't matter too much when you are enjoying yourself. There was entertainment on 2 nights of our 7. But the staff would take the children up to dance on quieter nights or play with them in the pool. The hotel is situated off the main street so is not noisy after 12.

We have just arrived back from the Olyum Gardens hotel in Icmeler Turkey and we have had the best holiday in Turkey to date and this is our 6th visit. The reviews we read made us very wary of going to the Oylum Gardens but when we got there we could not understand what people were moaning about.
The rooms although basic were very clean. The staff were first class you could not fault them at all
The breakfast was typical Turkish but the full English was only 1.50 which was very good value
If you want 5 star don't book cheap deals
Whilst out there I was taken ill I collapsed and with in minutes an ambulance was called and the hotel manager Michael came with my husband in the ambulance to the hospital. He sorted everything out bought him back to the hotel and took him back to the hospital to sort all the paperwork out. Without the hotel staff help we would not have had a clue what to do
All the staff Jamal, Michael, Yacob and Musty were absolutely fantastic
We are all going back in September 15 of us and people we met there are also going back so if anyone is going say Jane and Chris and Harry said hello and have a great holiday the place is the best.

I agree with J Simmons. I was there at the same time as they were and when she collapsed the staff were fantastic.
When I read the reviews I was terrified to go there but when I was there it was perfect.

Arrived at The Oylum Gardens about 06:30, and it looked like the hotel was closed down. No lights and front door locked. The night watch man appeared from nowhere and let us in. He didn

This hotel is awful, top rooms not too bad but the basement rooms which my son was given are really disgusting.
Very damp, terrible smell, mould up the walls with creepy crawlys, shower did not work, no saftey deposit box and phone was ripped from the wall. Room was eventually changed when we threatened to post pictures.
Staff were rude and unhelpful and dirty, bar man liked to put his feet on the bar to clip his toe nails and walk around the pool gobbing on the floor. Dont know what the food was like as we didnt dare try it.
Please dont stay here there are plenty of cheap Hotels in Icmeler providing a basic but much better service
