My daughter and I were taken downstairs to our room which I thought was strange, then realised we were in basement.
We were hit with the most awful smell of damp as soon as the door was opened the manager Michael then left us to it.
We opened the wardrobe and realised it was covered inside with mould there was water from apartment above dripping through ceiling.
We went out onto balcony to discover it wasn't a balcony but an empty room with window at top which looked out at ground level,so we could look at legs go by.
Worse was still to come, the bathroom, my god where do I start. The shower which was covered in mould had a constant dripping head, the walls and ceiling were just black with mould and the sink taps were encrusted with mould and limescale.
We went straight out and told waiter that we weren't happy with room to be told that the hotel was full and there was nothing that could be done.
We didn't unpack as there was nowhere to put clothes anyway.
Next day we complained to Michael the manager who just shrugged. When the goldtrail rep appeared she didn't want to know, she told us to have a word with Michael and if we weren't happy she would get back to us.
We never saw her again. Michael continued to ignore us for the rest of the week.

we booked a good deal through vision holidays.
we were ment to be in the olyum park hotel but they had to change us to the olyum garden.when we went to the room it was smelly we went and complained and it was sorted straight away.view over the pool,top level room.although we rarely was there.
we went to meet the rep they didnt show up.reception rung them they said an hour,they never showed up!
food was awful rarely ate restaurant staff were up them selves as were the bar staff,we didnt stay at the hotel at all and if i had had kids with me they would have hated it.
only 2 english kids at hotel all week and very few other national kids.
the hotel was catered for the russians and they looked down there noses at us apart from one very nice russian lady and her daughter.
if u book an excurtion do it with the guys up the top of the road near the oylum park hotel .....say hi to tony,ahmet,hannibal(chadac)and bas.we would recommend the boat trip on the aggean sea with mehmet(say hi)
and a turkish bath and although a long day the turtle beach and mud baths although its a long day and not much time at the mud baths beware the boats dont stay long!
we loved icmeler,the shops are right outside and bars and the dolmus runs past with easy access to marmaris and would love to return and the reception staff tell us they will be catering for the english this year so it could be better.
the cleanliness only scored two as the cleaning staff were great thats why they get 2 stars for staff only good ones!! and when we tipped them they hugged us and they made sure they cleaned our room even when we asked them not to as we had been out so late and was in bed they come back and wouldnt take no for an answer which was a pain!!
had a great holiday and this hotel didnt spoil it,but then we didnt have to rely on food and drink there or have any kids.
have a great time in icmeler !!

We stayed in the Oylum Garden hotel in icmeler.
We had stayed in Icmeler in June and were looking forward to going back. We booked the holiday last minute but we were expecting much more than we got.
We arrived at 07.30 am after a long transfer from the airport. When we arrived there was no one on reception so the rep rang the bell and some man appeared from nowhere grabbed our bags didn't even check us in and took us down to a basement room. We turned on the lights and the room was awful!! It stank. The sheets were filthy, the towels had holes in them and were dirty and the wardrobes were full of mould.
We waited for the welcome meeting later that day but the rep didn't even turn up there was never anyone on reception 2 complain to either.
We were only there for a week thankfully cos we couldn't have coped any longer.
The bathroom or the apartment was not cleaned once which resulted in us both being ill. Would never stay there again and would not recommend this hotel or Goldtrail.

Do not go to this hotel!!!!!!
This was the worst holiday I have ever been the resort is lovely as I have visited many times over the last few years and this is the first time I have ever stayed at this hotel.
The room we were giving was horrible no other guests would stay in the room we were allocated but since we were the last guests to arrive we had no choice, the bathroom had raw sewerage leaking from the apartment above. We could not put any of our clothes away in wardrobes as the room was full of mould we stayed out of the room for a full night as the smell in the room was unbearable!!!!!
Again do not go to this hotel I will try to get some photos on within the next few days if your already booked for this hotel go to your travel agent and ask to be moved immediatley even our resort rep said the room is not fit for guests.
