I can honestly say that this was the worst hotel I have ever been in. Not a 4* star at all more like a 2*.
The room was disgusting dust and dirt everywhere, the toilet brush was so used the bristles stuck outwards and there was dried faeces in the container.
Food average, I had a bad stomach for 3 days. Awful transfer from the airport 4 hours! We weren't told this when booking. The hotel rep was rubbish. Staff unconcerning.

We stayed in this hotel in September. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The Hotel was shabby and the rooms very basic and not very clean. The food was awful and always cold. The staff only spoke to you on your day of departure, probably after a tip. The rep was awful, just not interested in any complaints. We did complain that all the drinks were watered down. She was just not interested. I did read reviews on here before I went, but thought It would be ok. I was wrong. Please do not book this hotel, you will be wasting your money. It is so cheap to eat out, so visit the resort and stay self catering. I work in travel. If i can make a wrong choice, so can you. Please do not book with goldtrail.

This was our second time at the Abacus Metropol, Icemeler. We loved it last years and we loved it this year.
The Hotel is clean and the staff are so friendly which is amazing for the amount of hours they have to work. They are very mannerly and respectful if you are likewise.
The food is very good, but my only concern would be that for all inclusive they should have chips and chicken nuggets on the menu every night for the kids, but as for adults there was always something you would eat, and at the price who could complain.
The hotel location is fabulous right next to cetre for nightlife and shops etc. It has a large swimming pool in comparison to other hotels with a baby pool also.
The entertainment was much better this year as the Entertainment Team work so hard to make it a fun holiday. ICEMAN is fabulous and he was always accommodating and friendly he has a great sense of humour and his wit at times had us in stitches, he has star quality and is an excellent ambassador for Turkish Hospitality, his team of Shaggy, Musty, Jimmi and Ice-cube were always friendly, eager to please and help and this made the holiday a delight. They are also great with the kids. This Entertainment Team is fabulous and we miss them as they became very good friends with us and our young daughter. They treat guests like one big happy family and guests warm to their enthusiasm and energy they are such good fun.
Like most hotels there are some faults, but, for the price you pay this is excellent value for money.
We are hoping to go back soon.

just got back to uk after a nightmare holiday, we booked a 4star hotel to find not much more than 1/2 star, the rooms leave a lot to ur own imagination, and air con!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was only in a few rooms.
dont be fooled by a 94 bedded hotel what they dont tell u is the hotel is split in 2 one one side of road the other and other side and betwenn them there are over 200 rooms.
all in, thats a bigger laugh the food is ok if u love salad every day but u have from 7.30pm till 9pm all of 1hr and a half and thats the whole hotel so ur lucky to get ur food . if you go to get a drink u come back and ur foods gone.
swimming pool well i all ways thought a nice blue swimming pool how wrong its a dirty green and in one week i did not see anyone cleaning it .
the staff at this hotel are so rude we have traveled to most countries and this has to be the up most worse we ever encounted. dont ask for help as u dont get it, we complained and all they say is do u want us to get the police!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
honest if your booked change fast we met loads of people over there and spoke to only one who was happy .
we filled in a complaints form wet back next day for our top copy and she had to go throught at lease 50/70 to find ours and thats just one week.
one guy who works there said its like this every week.
good luck to any of thoses who dont listen

The only problems with this hotel are that the hotel is being revamped and we had all the niggles i.e. shower broken, cold water and a curtain on the bed !
While we were there people arrived everyday including ourselves to be told there were no rooms available
people were put in a hotel across the road for between 1 to 7 days.
The complex is 3 hotels and you can be put in any of these
the average wait upon arrival for a room is 3hours to 7 days (put in another hotel not on the complex).

we travelled the 23rd july for two weeks so this was the height of season. the only complaint we had was the air con which was not working whatsoever. the hotel was nice and clean, the male cleaner was great, nothing to much trouble for him at all. rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed every day.the food was a combination of english and turkish which was nice and always hot, we never had cold food. there was something for the kids every day, even if it was only chips. overall we had a fantastic holiday. no matter where you go in the world you get some that like it and some that dont. some people just arent happyunless they are complaining.we would go back to icmeler it is a fantastic place, people are great and overall we had a fab holiday. just one word of advise. FAN, go to tansas and buy one on your first day.

1st time in Turkey and all inclusive and pleasantly surprised. Large family room with balcony.
Hotel very clean and nothing any trouble for staff.
Food very good with range of hot food and very well stocked salad bar, most people would find something they liked from the wide choice on offer Red and white wine on tap at lunch and dinner.
Location excellent and no need to go off the complex if you don't want to as hotel has 24hr shop that sells everything. Location very central and Iclemer is a lovely place. Hotel also has their own section of the beach so enquire about this as you are not told about it on arrival.
Entertainment good fun with the 4 entertainers who mix well with everyone. Would certainly go back. Excellent value for money!

It apperaed to us that a lot of decorating had taken place over the winter period. we wher allocated a large room that over looked the main street. During our weeks stay the hotel staff where constanly cleaning the reception area.
We have stopped in a number of turkish A/I holidy hotels and must say this is some of the best food we have had. whilst there was a repatition in the meat on the menu the accompaning vegtables and salads etc enabled all tastes to be catered for.
If your the sort of person who wants a full english breakfast everyday or roast beef and yoorkshire pudding stay in england or go self catering because, this is Turkey and this is what they eat!!
The hotels is in a central location within the resort, and may prove to be a disadvantage whn the resort is in the hight of the season.
The hotel where helpful on the few occasions we needed help, our request for extra bedding was seen to that day. They did ask for a 15 YTL deposit per person upon check in and that was refunded without question upon departure.
We did observe one guest having a problem with his deposit as he had paid in sterlin and recieved YTL in return, so as a prercaution if paying in sterling right it on your check in form and get them to sign
The music round the pool during the day was kept to a reasonable level, and the entertainment team accepted a no when you did not want to join in with the programme. at night it was the usual Hi De Hi entertainment,IE, Bingo , Mr & Mrs, Karaoke, just the sort of thing we hate and avoided like the plague.
We would return to this hotel again, but would not consider during July & August months as we feel the noise from the surrounding bars would be overwhelming.

This hotel has had a full make over the food is top class some people complained that a few times it was cold but this is only due to people not putting the lids down on the serving dishes after helping them selves to they lunch/dinner.
Very good selection off hot and cold dishes andthe sweet trolley is to die for lots off choice.
Rooms are a good size location is perfect.
Entertaint team really friendly and great company

Do not take any notice of the old bad reviews for this hotel. It is now under new ownership and all new staff have been employed.
The food is excellent,the hotel is spotless, the staff are all very helpful and polite.
I will certainly be going back to this hotel.
