We were dreading our holiday as I had read the previous bad reviews before going.
Well what can I say we are going again in October it was so good. We arrived early hours of the morning after a delay at manch airport and was pleasantly surprised but decided to check it out properly the following morning.
We were totally chuffed the whole fortnight we were there, especially for the price we paid. We also made some fantastic friends and had great fun with the entertainment team (especially Robbie). Harry 16 and Amy 14 had a wicked hol specially the couple of nights we had round the local friends bar.
To be honest we hardly left the complex but when we did the local surroundings were mega and people so friendly. We are definately going back and look forward to it. Hello to anyone who we met and has anyone managed to get ice-man in the pool yet? lmao... Glenn tried about 5 times the one day and in the end it took about 8/9 lads to get him in.
If your a family going to have a chill,laugh,drink and good food and nice weather then go for it this is the place.

After reading the reviews before we went we were not expecting very much, when the coach drew up we were pleasently surprised
The hotel was very nice, food was excellent (breakfast a bit boring)
Pool was very clean, staff were brilliant.
We had our rooms changed to ones with balconys, they responded very well to our request.
No entertainment except Bingo every night and some at weekend, but it was near the end of the season.
I think that the whole trip went well, except for funny tummy when we returned, be careful of what you eat out,

On arrival we were asked to pay for our wrist bands, money to be refunded on leaving, we considered this unusual pratice.
Room was clean, some fittings were broken and a lack of light bulbs, no TV remote, but obtained one from Reception later. Bathroom looked very tired, wet floor when showering, poor bath seals and the door fell off our friends bathroom.
Hardly any of the staff could speak english which made it difficult. The Lift and first floor landing carpets were a trip hazzard, and water on the marble stair caused me to slip and bruise and jar myself. The first floor landing area was lacking in seating, but if fitted out and an additional Bar included this would enhance the hotel considerably.
Our fist floor bedroom faced and overlooked the Pool area, which we thought good, until the music blasted away from the Hotel's loadspeakers, and then from the East Enders Dance club opposite. Closing our windows helped only a little and we were then very hot. Don't choose this floor facing the pool, you will regret it. This hotel is certainly not a four star one, it is very tired and certainly needs a lot of reburbishment, especially to it's plumbing.
It could be a nice hotel if these points were attended too. However, the place was clean and the food good, if a little repetative and you like Chicken with most meals.
If you have already booked, then just go with the flow, get your towels on the pool beds early or you'll miss the boat, the beach is only a short walk and you'll enjoy it better there.

We have just returned from Abacus Metropol Hotel which was known as Park Metropol.
We booked 4 months before going with Goldtrail, on an all inclusive package. We were disappointed in the hotel, which was supposed to be 4 star, because the air-conditioning does not work in about 90 percent of the hotel, so that made the rooms unacceptably hot all night (with the so called Air-con full blast).
Neither the sink or the bath has a plug (this they advise is standard) the electricity was cut off regularly. The bar closes at 11pm sharp. The food is mainly Turkish which is fine, but the chicken/turkey and meat balls every day does become boring.
The 5th floor has just been refurbished, but the remaining rooms are in desperate need of a refurb. You must request a balcony or you do not get one, and even then they are only big enough for one chair. The pool was dirty and overall hygiene was poor!

This is an older hotel and was in need of some routine maintenance. The staff were largely friendly but could do with some language/customer skills training.
The selection of food was awesome and there was a choice of Turkish or wider cuisine. As all inclusive this was a great value hotel and the drinks were vital as the temperature reached 50' C.
It's close to the town and a short walk to the beach. We had a great holiday and thought it very good value.

What can I say bout this place?? Poor, poor, poor !!!
Goldtrail holidays should be ashamed to have this place on there books.
The people going down with food poisoning was shocking the food was awful I had to eat out.
The staff never smile the pool dirty the only good thing about he place was the people we met who were as unhappy as me.
The location was good just near the beach but thats all I can say about this place id never ever return pity really as I liked Turkey itself!!!

This was our first holiday to Turkey and we were very dissapointed with the quality of this hotel evey aspect of the hotel was poor from the staff to the air conditioning or should i say lack of it.
The hot food was cooked and put out at 5.00pm but you were not able to dine until 7.30pm. the food was always cold,and if you wanted you could eat in your bikini there was no dress code.
You were given plastic beakers to drink from which were often very dirty (this was in the bar and restarant).
After the second night our family had to eat out each night due to the food being so poor.
The entertainment was very poor the same songs every day and night.
The pool area and pool was very dirty myself and a number of other gusets asked the management staff to clean the pool as it was so dirty.
The pool bar and pool toilets were very bad and all the gusets were complaining.
when you book this hotel it will state on your deatails that it is the Abucus Hotel Metropol it is not it is called the Park Hotel i would stay away from this hotel it does not rate as a 4 Star Hotel in fact i would say it rates between 2\3 Star hotel.

This was our first time to turkey and had a fantastic holiday at the Park Metropole. The hotel had been recently refurbished inside and out, it was very clean with the maid visiting our room every day.
All the staff were friendly and willing to chat or help. The metropole is situated in just the right spot, near to bars, clubs and beach but not in a noisy area. Hotel entertainment was not to our liking but many people were still at the hotel of an evening as we left for Icmeler's centre.
Food was more than adequate with many choices each day and we all agreed we would go again.

Please read any reports you see regarding this hotel.... I didn't and was very disappointed on arrival.
Once we were checked in, you had to pay 25 leria for the wrist band, which yes you do get back but only when you check out!!!!
There was not a balcony, just a bar outside the window. There was thick, black mould above the shower. In the room was a fridge, which at first we thought was great until we realised that it throw out so much heat. The air con was not worth having, the only thing it done was keep us up all night with the noise it made!! When we mentioned this to reception they did not want to know.
The room was situated above reception so we therefore heard all the coaches arriving between 3am-6am!!!!
The food was poor and repeatative. The staff were not helpful. And to top this you have to be out of the room at 11am no matter what time you are being picked up from the hotel. Your lugage is put in a room that is not locked!! And when you had the key in to reception they cut off the wrist band so that you can not eat or drink in the hotel. There was meant to be entertainment.

What can I say about this one, rubbish comes to mind.
Food basic, drinks rubbish, toilets outside downstairs diabolical and smelly wading through sewers would have been better and drier.
Do not go to this hotel 4 stars, no chance. I have read that goldtrail hotel management rate their hotels.
Should have spent all week just over the road at a sister hotel by the looks of the Idas reports.
