Ok, so we booked this through a Turkish company and got it for

We stayed at the Marcan in Hisaranou.
From the moment we arrived the staff couldnt do enough for us. We had a good breakfast every day, 5 star compared to breakfasts we have had in other hotels.
The rooms were cleaned every day almost, even if you didnt want them cleaned, pool was large and clean, bar was good, just a shame there was no entertainment , till we had Turkish belly dancing night ,every Wednesday.
They had had a fumigation programe just before we got there, so there were no nasty midges, even though we saw a lot of people from other hotels who were bit to pieces, they have thier own barber, who also doubles as a massuer, he was great. I have had a neck and shoulder complaint and before I knew it,he had sorted it out.
The hotel is just up a small hill, about 2 hundred yards from all the busy shops ,reteraunts ,and bars, so you couldnt hear anything, except if you got some noisy holiday makers , which we did for the first 3 days.
I have been to Hisaranou before back in 1998, it was good to see it again. Also they have made the main road running down through all the shops and bars, a pedestrian zone from 7 pm every night, so you are not confined to walking on the pavements.
Gives you lots of room to relax , I will be going back again soon.

There were 16 in our group. The hotel was good but not for our age group which was 16-18.
The staff were friendly but a bit flirty and came out with us a couple of nights. And also woke us up with an annoying song which they whistled to every morning.
Underground was the best club out of the few that was there.
The food was ok didnt try breakfst coz we was never up for it but the english rose was the best for a english breakfast.
The maids are really nice and couldnt do enough for you but make sure you hand your key in or you're rooms wont get cleaned also you might get a slight ant problem.
I'd recomend this holiday for young teens and couples.

The Marcan Hotel was lovely, there was never a problem with the staff or rooms or food for us, although I would say that the drinks at the hotel could have been cheaper.
The only real problem we found was with us being young and wanting a good entertaining night. At night time the Marcan Bar was quite quiet. You would have had to make your own entertainment. The staff were all lovely and there is no complaints there but we found ourselves having to go downtown everynight for cheap drinks and good entertainment.
Overall we had a great holiday but we would say that this hotel is much more better if your wanting to relax. Though the Turkish night at the sister hotel (Telmessos) is well worth going to. Watch out for Andy and Sugar during the day when they are walking past the pool, you might find youself in it!

Hotel cleaning staff good especially "Ossooman?".
Breakfast same thing everyday, gets boring after two weeks, that's when you start looking downtown.
Location 5 minute walk to top of town, wouldn't like to push a wheelchair in high season when hot, too far and steep. Nice breeze at pool as you are slightly higher than most other hotels.
I would imagine high season a shortage of sunbeds unless they had some hidden somewhere. You must buy all food/drink from hotel. "Jobs worth" security guard with attitude ensures this you cannot bring water /food/etc from outside, could be the norm for this area as we did see signs outside some hotels including this one afterwards. No hot water before 8.00 a.m, a nuisance. Noisy bar after midnight if you are a light sleeper. Very small balcony, no table and only room for two small chairs, seems norm for this area.
Excellent staff all very friendly and helpful. 4 lire for a large beer, 10 lire for a small woodpecker cider, yes you read right. 1.5 lire for a 1.5 litre bottle of still drinking water. Hotel water undrinkable too many minerals. Very clean pool and area. Sunbeds saved by guests and others even when they go offsite for lunch, so you are dragged down to their level. Room 124 has hot water from cold tap and cold water from hot tap, took us wrinklies a good 5 minutes to work out what was happening. Good shower. No paper to be put down toilet but into a bin, not a problem. No sink plug. Take a clothes peg to close curtains as they do not met in the middle or do as we did and use a coat/skirt hanger.
No baggage room for when you depart, we left late p.m, so paid extra 25lire to keep room that extra day, handy as you can have a shower before departure and somewhere to leave packed cases.

Close location to the main shopping and eating areas but is on a hill. Pool not that big but sufficient. You can use Telmessos hotel facilities across the road as well.
There are no tea/coffee making facilities or fridge in the rooms. If you request cup of boiling water to make your own you are charged 2 new lire. Other than that the rooms are kept very clean, as long as you rememeber to hand in your room key.
Basic food offered at bar area during day. Staff are friendly.

The Marcan Hotel was spotless but there was a problem with ants! The facilities were good, bar, pool and the breakfast was different but there was always something you liked.
The staff were very very friendly and very accomodating nothing was too much trouble even down to keeping you company waiting for the transfer coach to the airport. Overall the staff should be very proud.

We had a really fantastic time staying at the Marcan Hotel.
From the moment we arrived (at an ungodly hour!) the staff were very welcoming, and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us. Kevin had stayed in the hotel the year before and was happy to take me back there.
I thought the pool was lovely, it was massive and really well maintained.
We are going back to stay at the Marcan in May 2005.
Looking foreward to it! (Hope Ozzie is still there!!)

The staff were really friendly, the hotel was kept very clean at all times and the hotel location is ideally suited for entertainment, bars and restaurants.
The pool was well maintained and a very good size.
In the hotel reception area it had sky television and a pool table ideal for kids.
Can someone say hello to Timmy and Jenk for me from Michael who ever is going there of course. Be there next year!

My friend and I stayed at this hotel in July, although situated up a small hill the location is fantastic because you can get to either end of the town either by back or front of hotel. The staff were fantastic and even the guy at the front desk were pleasent, The people and hotel were fantastic and they even waited up until 3am in morning to wave us off. There is a lot of teenagers in hisonaru and its great for families and couples, recommend the jeep safari with Tayfoo as is fantatsic and buy the kids sweets, The bars are great as well and we found the people arnt in your face like in marmaris just dead chilled if you dont wanna buy its no problem. If you decide to stay here its a first class hotel the only thing is its quite expensive for your drinks by the poolbar, if anyone stays here please say hi to Richard and Husanne as they were so good to our children. Say Lisa and Lisa say hi and we miss everyone very much and cannot wait to go back next year. Fantastic holiday
