Just returned from aparthotel and would not return again. Would totally agree with other comments about payment for cushions for beds and umbrellas and costs of drinks. Apartment was cleaned 5 days out of 7 but although towels (green ones) were changed every other day some days they did not smell fresh. Limited facilities if you are self catering and feel that it should not be necessary to have to hire kettles/tosters etc but had too as kettle on hob took for ever to boil. Complex itself was kept spotless. Can honestly say no problems with leaving valuables about although not left in prominent places. Entertainment left a lot to be desired and this place needs to take note of client feedback forms as people are looking for a better standard from them. Be aware if you go in high season as there are no fans or air conditioning in rooms.

I don't know why anyone would want to slag off this hotel you couldn't of asked for anything more.

Ok the food and drink was abit expensive but so it's worth every peeny even if they don't have a hughe range of food for lunch you can go other places that are relly cheap.

The room's were lovely and big and cleaned great had no trouble with the maids at all. I think all the people that complained about this hotel are just cheap skates and should wake up and relaise you get what you pay for.

Going back next year for 2 weeks. Highly recommened this hotel to everyone 5**** and more.

Just updating my review, the entertainment score didn't reflect what I typed!

The only other thing I would add is the British (including me because I was forced up!) to 'claim my space' by the pool area each day. This was a daily ritual each day to go down the pool area, drop your towel in 'your space' and get your beds, mats, umberella etc. They used to keep them locked up till 9 o clock which was much better as this trip people were down at 7.30- 8 ish which started a wave of people doing the same. The funny thing is that there are more than enough beds etc to go round so no panic required.

Going back in August.

Have stayed at Parque de la Paz for the past 20 years or so and seen the resort built up around it, it has probably one of the best locations around.

All the staff, reception, maintenance, restaurant have been there for that time aswell which is rare these days!

It has always been immaculately kept around the pool area, the maids cleaned the area each day, as for glass, it's the idiots who bring glass over to their sunbeds and shouldn't as the rules are clear you should have plastic cups by the pool, however any breakages, if reported to the bar or reception were always cleaned up.

The rooms are cleaned 5 days out of 7 and towels changed. I can appreciate the entertainment may not appeal to the 20 somethings but for families (which this hotel is a family hotel) our kids loved Cara) and as for the 2 a.m. she is still singing, both Cara and all the local bars close down at 12.

In 20 years we have never seen a cockroach, mice or rats, experienced rude staff or had the maids steal from us, maybe there is another Parque de la Paz???!!!

I thought this hotel was very friendly, clean and Cara (The entertainer) were all fantastic. I notice some harsh criticisms about Cara, but honestly, she does entertain even if her singing voice isn't the best. She is wonderful with all children, and as regards to entertainment there is a childrens corner in the bar area where films/dvds are shown through the evening to keep kids happy.

Location was excellent. Very near all the shops, bars and restaurants.

The hotel was relatively clean - beware of all the cats though!

We were very disapointed with the Maid staff. Our rooms were barely cleaned through the entire week, with only one towel change and this was the day before we came home! The fact you could only have a shower for five - ten minutes was surprising, and that for a family of four it took atleast an hour and a half just to get showered.

The hotel rep was poor, there was no contact with many of the customers. No entertainment during the day - except on the Saturday when Cara did a Paella demonstration.

This was my first visit to Tenerife, and I'd definitely go again

We travelled with our girls aged 11, 7 and 5 months. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Cara and Bobby's kids club and evening entertainment were brilliant. The apartments are situated in a great spot with lots of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops nearby.

I have to say having read previous reviews we slightly wary but I don't know what these people expect because we could fault nothing - not a cockroach in sight (and we have travelled quite a bit)!

Hotel check in very quick, reception staff very polite, on arrival at our room it was basic but clean. I was surprised that you have to pay One Euro per hour for the TV, it only had two channels Sky News and CNN, I thought that those days had long gone.

You also have to pay for sun beds, not that it bothered me.

The food in this place is just not good enough to warrant the price. Four nights they had beef stew and three times they had pork curry, very little choice. All in all the breakfast was strange to say the least the lady cooking the bacon would cover the hot plate in oil then place four rashers of bacon on the plate by the time she had put the last rasher on the plate she would turn the other rashers over when she had done that she would take them of the plate and stack to one side. The end result was a plate full of uncooked bacon dripping in oil, but not to worry the sausage was cooked until it had wrinkles and left to go cold.

The main reason for us going Half board was for the Gala meal on New Years Eve, they really went out of their way on that night instead of white napkins we had yellow ones, a real treat. For the first three days we sat at the table together as allocated, on the fourth day the waiter told my son that we had to sit a separate tables, so the next morning we sat one person at a table thus using five tables the waiter came over to me and said we could all sit a one table.

The entertainment included the world famous Cara, this dear lady decided that for New year she would reserve most of the tables for her friends and family this left five tables for the other three hundred people in the hotel. I was pleased to see the next night the room was empty except for seven lads having a drink before going out.

I would go to this complex again but not half board, because the rooms are so clean and as for the entertainment there is plenty around. Amen

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the Parque de la Paz, Playa de las Americas in Tenerife. Very basic, we were never in the room to be honest!

Cheaper to eat out all day than buy food to make in apartment -which is impossible! Only apartments in Tenerife which is full of cats which the staff feed-which doesn't help, saw one cockroach which wasn't bad, you see the alot when you go out, you have to expect that in Tenerife.

My advice is don't go all inclusive, drinks are horrible and food awful. Alot better eating out.

Pool lovely and clean and so is the rooms. We woke up to two cats sunbathing on our balcony!

Wouldn't go back again hotel stunk of cat pee all the time.

The hotel was lovely, clean and well maintained.

We were self catering but ate in the restaurant a couple of times for breakfast and dinner, it was delicious and reasonably priced.

The pool bar service and food were also very good.

Cara was a great entertainer and the kids loved her, also her husband Bobby who helped out in the kids club was fantastic.

Would definitely stay here again, we also noticed many of the guests were people who were returning for their 2nd, 3rd or even 7th holiday in this hotel!

Was worried after reading reports before we went but had a brilliant holiday.

We stayed S/c in this hotel, but did use the poolside snack bar a few times, found the food to be good & inexpensive and at lunchtimes the staff were really busy, but stayed good humoured and tried to ensure everyone stayed happy.
The poolside area was kept clean, but the pool is really too small for the amount of rooms at the hotel and sunbeds are all taken by 10am, unfortunately a lot are 'reserved' by guests who don't actually use them until 2pm :(

Can't comment on the hotel entertainment as we went out every night, but did hear a few tunes being murdered on our return.
if ou are S/C like we were, the Caribe Supermarket, (turn left at the barrier, then left again), nice visitor-friendly staff, wide range of UK foodstuff and a top notch bakery.
The apartment itself could have bben a little more up to date (I can't remember the last apartment I stayed in that had a hob kettle - which tripped the electric if we turned the hob on too high and we had to stagger our shower times whilst we waited for the water to heat upn between. We had a "front" room (in the block along the main road) and the traffic noise was quiet loud (as were the bin men who empted the big glass recycling bin with a very loud crash at 2.30am every morning, even with the balcony doors closed, it woke all of us up every night.
I would say in all honesty that I would rate this as a two star rather than a three star hotel and although I would return to the resort, I would e unlikely to stay here.
