Villamoura was very quiet in November with a lot of the restuarants closing until xmas. We still however managed to find a few good restaurants in the Marina.

4 blokes, 3 rounds of golf, 3 nights out for grub and a few scoops and a couple of nights in Club Korpus. Couldn't get any better.

Early doors go round the far side of the Marina, Oneills 19th hole etc.

Later for the more adventurous gent (if you catch my drift) check out cats below the hotel Olympus or Club Korpus directly behind it.

Vilamoura is a great resort if you like to spoil yourself a little. It has a great, clean beach and a very nice marina where you can dream of being a millionaire yacht owner!

The restaraunts are all good and we recommend the Golden Ming Chinese, Apkovit and the Steak House on the corner.

None of the restraunts are very cheap but the food is fantastic and its not any dearer than home and so much nicer.

The weather was also really good which makes a big difference.

I love Vilamoura but if I go there again it would not be as a single parent. Its more a place for couples and families with both parents.
I sometimes felt I was very out of place when all I wanted to do was give my children a lovely holiday in a place that I knew would not be full of drunks and topless sunbathers.

Villamoura is an ideal holiday destination for couples, friends, families and singles alike. Great restaurants, a beautiful quiet beach and surrounding golf courses offer something for everyone. I'll definitely be returning again.

The area around Old Village is very nice and old-ish style, it is around a 20 min walk to the Harbour and about a 25 min walk to the beach, if you plan to use the pool area it costs 1.5 Euro each for half a day to use the sunbeds, although we was told they have 3 pools but we didn't find the other 2 !!

The bars / restaurants around the site are nice and one paticular (who's name I can't remember) but is english and the food is fantastic and typically english (roast dinner, steak etc) although they was a little more expensive than some it was worth it for a couple of nights.

While we was there we went to the market on the Weds which cost 5 Euro each way, if using the taxi's hail them on the street as it they are booked they charge a small booking fee.
Also went to Zoomarine - which we would highly recommend, my wife swam with the dolphins while she was there and loved it, if you go to Zoomarine book the actual zoomarine coach via reception as it will take you door to door and get you into the park for 25 Euro's.

Beach was nice and clean, not very busy although you have to enjoy walking if you intend visting the beach or harbour everyday, alternitively you can get the little train down there for 3 euro which you can hop on and off all day at no extra cost.

There is also a very good 16 hole mini golf course down towards the marina for that that like a bit of fun, it cost 9.90 Euro for one course.

We found that our rep was not very good though, he was supposed to be telling us the shortest way to get to places but was sending us the long way.

Vilamoura is a very clean resort. The marina is absolutely lovely- a great way to spend time relaxing and enjoying nice meals.

Plenty of places to eat and drink- not such a clubby area so don't go if you are a party animal!! Not really a beach person but went to the Marina beach and Fallesia which were both really nice. Take a towel cause they charge quite a lot for the loungers.

Overall, loved the resort- a great place to relax and holiday! Highly recommended!

A nice compacked resort centred around the marina, very clean and peacefull, great for a really chilled holiday.

The beach was excellant, lots of sunbeds, although rather expensive,14 euros for a full day.

Lots of restaurants to choose from, I can't say I had a realy good meal anywhere. Avoid the shakespere bar, ordered a sandwhich to take away, the bread was filled while still hot, so by the time I came to eat it was soggy. Also got charged 5 euros for it. Noboby was ever in there, and the beer was flat. Try Cafe de Vila. Nice people and served beer in a chilled glass, and cheap. Just opposite the shakespere.

Pretty expensive resort and not much in the way of nightlife. Go and visit the old village very stylish where lots of golfers hang out.
