I do not agree on the complaints about the food. There was plenty of choice and in general it was very good. Furthermore everybody traveling a bit knows that a 5 stars hotel in one country is not the same as in another: in a country with a lot of poverty this hotel is grand luxe, especially seen the low price you pay.

I have some negative remarks as well: the hotel was extremely noisy. Music was played everywhere at a very loud level. The belgian Neckermann had told us this was a quiet hotel but it is the contrary. I tried to find a quiet place to read a book but everywhere music was played from early in the morning to late in the evening: at the swimming pools, at the beach, at the a la carte restaurant. At many places you had even in the evening three different songs playing at the same time.
We had a room with sea view but regret that a lot: it is also the side of the swimming pool so you do not sleep before 13h and you wake up at 16h of the noise of cleaning people. In between 13h and 16h we were woken up by british people...

The beach is very very small and filled with beds so you can not see the sand: it is a little corner in a small bay. We went end September so I do not want to know what it is like in high season: we had to fight already for a chair. People are making a reservation for a chair in the morning and then a lot of these chairs stay empty for the rest of the day...

If you tried to find yourself a quiet moment to catch up sleep of the night you were disturbed continuously by an annoying sauna man who is trying to trick you into a massage for which you have to pay quite some money but that he forgets to mention when making you an appointment. If you say that you do not want he gets you other guests to convince you to go...After three days I was fed up with this guy.

The hygiene was bad in the level of the sports bar: the big cushions of these chairs were soking wet...of course, what do you expect so close to the swimming pool. Who ever thought of putting such chairs there....!

Though I did not use them I confirm the pedalos and canoes were bad: some guys came back because their canoe sunk and you could here the one available pedalo squeak around from far.

I went home ill of lack of sleep and will look for another hotel the next time.

We found the hotel to be very satisfactory.
Apart from the safety aspects around the pool which do seem to be non-existent, we could not really fault the place.
Admittedly the 5 star rating was a bit tongue in cheek by usual standards but we have found this to be pretty general of Turkish resorts.
The food was good and the place was reasonably clean.
I dont know about everyone else but we got a really good deal and as far as we were concerned we got what we paid for and more.
OK so the entertainment was poor but again this is fairly general isnt it? You have to make your own entertainment!!

This hotel was a nice and pleasant hotel(although not for people who prefer a bit of peace and quiet!). We decided on self catering as we wanted the full Turkish experience. The eating out was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful we would maybe return to this hotel again but there are a few improvements needed!

Anyone booking through regal holidays to stay at didim beach resort should be very careful,we paid for a family room and a suite on arrival we were given two double rooms,to sleep five adults, two children and a infant. All day we argued with the manager and the rep from travelite niether were the slightest bit interested they just kept fobbing us off, I even phoned Regal holidays in England five times to be given the same treatment.Didim Beach Resort is no way a five star resort, it boasts water sports, this consists of 3 pedaloes, one of which is broken, one only has one pedal working, this leaves the whole hotel to fight over one,the also have 2 canoes one of which has no paddle.

Now lets talk about the food there is plenty of it but its never hot, its served up luke warm the flies are everywere on the food, cutlery, bread ect, no wonder everyone had dioreah. The childrens evening menu was disgusting chips are cooked at around 5pm in the pool bar they are then carried over to the restaurante and served up to the kids from 7.30pm onwards they are very rubbery and virtually cold the burgers are also cooked in the same way.We ate out alot on holiday i wonder why.

The fitness center consists of a broken running machine, and a broken step macine.

There are two pools to use one has two water slides, which are only opened at certain times of the day there is nobody supervising this and there were alot of children getting hurt my youngest son had his head banged on a few occasions because the children are coming down too quickly after each other,I have never encountered a holiday before were when you are enjoying yourself on the slides a security guard comes along and tells you to be quiet as some french guests are asleep in their rooms.

Didim beach also boasts a private beach which every day was invaded by turkish people who were not staying at the hotel,

on one occasion some turkish woman who were not supposed to be on the beach sarted fighting with the life guard, this turned out quite nasty as more joined in and it resulted in the army turning up with guns and taking the turks off, this was quite distressing with young children as all the hotel staff came running down to assist the life guard.

The management of the hotel are not interested in their english guests once they arrive as we found out, they lie through thier back teeth, when we booked our holiday with regal holidays we paid
