With being self catering we bought food in but the supermarket down the path to the apts were brilliant, as were the restaurants.
If you can, visit Merves restaurant and The Izmir, Onur and his english wife Claire were brill and the food is to die for! The hotel staff were lovely.
Although the season was coming to a close and there were only a handful of people in, they organised a b-b-q. All the staff joined in the "high jinks" around the pool. (It would have been a bit better if there had been more entertainment instead of going into Altinkum and being hassled.)They couldnt do enough to help.
Apts basic, but clean. Worth it for the money you pay.

First impressions of the hotel are excellent. It is situated right on the beach, and the reception area is clean and welcoming. The room we were shown to was not unfortunately to the same standard. It is apparently customary for them to give everyone a room at the back of the hotel, overlooking the rubbish collection point, and wasteland. The reason for this is so if anybody complains, they then move to the better (and bigger) rooms at the front of the hotel. Our room at the back was small and pokey. The shower room was no better. The balocny may as well not even exist, because it was so small. The rooms at the front of the hotel however were much bigger, as were the bathrooms, and the balconies.
The hotel staff were, on the whole, friendly. The evening bar staff in terrace area were fun, friendly, and good company.
The pool area was very nice, overlooking the bay, however the pool itself was small.
Breakfast was ok. It was the same food everyday, which is failry basic.
Air conditioning - we were told the charge would be nominal for this, however the charge was

the tuntas hotel (altinkum) could not be in a better location right on the beach and a great placed pool with bar serving snacks and main meals during the day and night with views from our room overlooking the bay.the only food we tried at the hotel its self was breakfast and snacks which were of a good standard.the staff were very helpful.there is a turkish night in high season once a week normally saturday, but we were out on the town.
