Turgutreis needs to be developed as far as the beaches are concerned.
Being that we stayed in a hotel with a pool we did'nt need to go on one, but they did seem to be either very cramped, or not a lot of space to spread out.
The restaraunts are very good, no one came to hastle us to much,asking us to come in and eat, which was nice, as in other parts of Turkey we have been so fed up with being grappled we just ended up eating in the hotels.
The Turkish people are so very friendly they don't mean to go over the top but we found so very many along the seafront became nuisances.
We know they need to fill their establisments but find another way of encouraging people in.
We have every intention of going back to the resort again,to the same place. over and over again.
We just love Turkey and it's people.
We could learn a lot from the respect they give to the older generation. They have time to stop and talk.

Lovely resort to stay, but in a more friendly hotel.
Beach a little small. Resort entertainment good, but a little noisy in a few places.

Small quite resort ideal for peaceful tranquil holiday but just too quite for me. Resort is very clean, with a small selection of resturants. Not enough entertainment.

The marina here is very impressive and there are some very impressive boats in dock. However, be aware of the "boatmen" who dock just further down for boat trips - they pester you all the time.
Recommend Hassans Place for traditional Turkish food and the Mona Lisa for lunch & fish which fronts the beach. All the sunbeds and umbrellas are free on the beach but the bar owners who front the piece of beach that you occupy expect you to have a drink/food @ some stage. However they do not hassle you.
This is still a Turkish town which is very different from the resorts we have stayed out previously. Expect weddings & parties in the main square & all our welcome.

Turgutreis is the best! Been coming here for 8 years now! Its great I love it that much am moving there on 9th may to be with my boyfriend and friends! When you go to turgutreis you never want to go home! I mean everyone is so friendly!
Especially in the bars! Nutter bars is brilliant with my best friend blondy! Tash bar is the best by far, miss you all, especially me mate rashid! But I miss Jonathan more (love you babes!)

Turgutreis is a bit small. Most of the restaurants are located in a small grid of streets near the Mandalinci Hotel. Disappointing to see the number of establishments offerring English Breakfasts!

turgutreis is an exellent resort it has everything what you would want for in a holiday. the resort is spotlessy clean and the beach is to,there are always sunlongers free so that snooze by the beach is always on hand.the bars and restaurants are always busy wether it is a queit drink or dancing in the streets it is all here and the people are so freindly and family orentaited

Very little litter, pleasent admosphere, lots of bars and restaurants however they do tend to pester you to dine at their premises, typically Turkish but they were still friendly and polite. The boat trips were good but again constantly pestered to sail with them, would always try and accomodate your financial situation.

Turkey is naturally dry and dusty but they are making great efforts to greenify the area and the new park and new marina in Turgutries are excellent.
The beach has FREE sunbeds, mattresses and umbrellas with drinks service, at standard prices, from the adjacent bars.
There are bars with and without music and some dancing available but if its nightlife you want Bodrum is only 12km away.
