Las Vegas, AKA Sin City, is approx 10 and a half hours on a non-stop flight from the UK, currently available with BA and Virgin from London and Virgin from Manchester.
There is so much more to Las Vegas than gambling. It is a foodie paradise with top class restaurants as well as cheaper options to suit every budget. The entertainment is also world class with everything from full production shows to one man comedy shows, magicians, hypnotists, ventriloquists, variety shows, tribute acts, headliners and the famous Cirque du Soleil productions.
Gambling caters for everyone from the low roller on penny slot machines to whales on the table games. Drinks are complimentary while gambling; just make sure to tip at least $1 per drink and you can order anything from cocktails to coffee.
The hotels are entertainment in themselves as they all have their own themes and attractions. Where else can you visit Paris, Egypt, Venice and Rome in the same day?
Must sees are the Bellagio fountains, especially at night, the Grand Canal at the Venetian where you can ride on a gondola. There are also thrill rides 1148ft above the ground on top of the Stratosphere tower and a roller coaster at the New York New York hotel.

If you can book a run of house room at a very reduced rate then I would recommend it as the rooms in the Bellagio all seem to be of a great quality.
Obviously, try and get a fountain view room to see the fabulous fountains that perform all the time to the crowds.

Make sure to visit the famous Ellis Island next door. Their steak specials are legendary. Food and drink is very cheap and mingle with the locals in their karaoke bar- I hate karaoke normally but this one is a lot of fun.

Although Las Vegas is not my ideal place it is well worth a visit and you'll certainly not weary for things to do, places to eat or entertainment.
There are plenty of very reasonably priced restaurants with excellent quality food.
The variety of entertainment is fabulous.
One downside, is the amount of vendors shoving advertisemnets for porn and prostitution into your hands .... they'll do it whether you're in the company of a partner, a parent or small children and it's most annoying!!

Las Vegas has to be seen to be believed, but you either love it or hate it! There is plenty do do looking at the other hotels on the strip, and if you hire a car or take a helicopter trip through Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam are well within easy reach!
There is plenty of opportunity for shopping with several large malls close by, there is the Fashion Show Mall on the strip as well as the Premium outlets up near Freemont street, as well as the outlet stores at Primm (a bus service rums from the New York New York).

What can I say, VEGAS, gambling, late nights, loads of things to do - you will never get board here.
Loads of tacky things and people on the sidewalks handing strip joint tickets out, but it's all part of the fun I suppose.
Amazing place, visited the Grand Canyon on a helicopter tour, do the limo to the airport also.
All in all it's a fantastic place if you like that sort of things, the fountains at the Bellagio are amazing and so are the themes at the other hotels.
Visit some of the hotels off strip, Hard Rock, Rio, Sam's Town and definatley go to the old part of Vegas, Freemont Street, Golden Nugget etc. It's a must.
Would love to go back very soon. Very addictive.....

LAS VEGAS IS THE BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN AND I WILL KEEP GOING BACK, THERE'S LOADS TO DO FOR EVERYONE AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A GAMBLER, MAKE SURE YOU VISIT BELZ AND THE PREMIUM OUTLET WHICH IS DOWNTOWN TO GET LOADS OF DESIGNER BARAGAINS!!!

Las Vegas- you will either love it or hate it, it's that simple. Make sure you stay at a hotel between Treasure Island and the Luxor on the strip, anything towards Circus Circus is old Vegas and a dump.

The only thing that shocked me with vegas was how clean all of the hotels are in comparison to the street and the other is all the Hispanics with those mags!! anyone who has been knows what I am talking about!
I am in no way a prude but I didnt think having those sort of mags in self serve boxes were a great idea when theres lots of children walking around - I know Vegas isnt a kids place but whenever we have been theres always been plenty of them around!

as previously explained, the only problem with las vegas is the street pushers who try and hand out porn leaflets, even when you're with children, which i find upsetting. overall though, the resort is brilliant. visit all the attractions and eat until you drop, you'll love it.

Vegas isn't a resort as such, no beaches of course (well the Mandalay Bay actually has a pool area with a beach)!! But if you want to lie by the pool during the day, just like a beach holiday, then party at night in bars, clubs, seeing shows, eating out, gamble etc, then you can't beat it. Vegas is both my wifes and my favourite place.
