Can't say if the pool side rooms are better but we were in room 901 and the road was noisy and a cockerel crowed from sun up till sun down.

The resort in beautiful. The beeches are amazing. Loads of pubs and resturants (try Pussycats - a small family pub serving lovely homemade pies and stuff!)
Not a single bad word to say about the resort. The locals are friendly and polite and love kids.
I'd recommend hiring a car for a couple of days as some of the towns around Praia de Rocha are lovely but a little far to walk.
Actually, there is one place I'd avoid. Can't remember the name of the resturant but it's under the Sitting Bull resturant. Manager is a very rude man who said "a resturant is a nice place, not the sort of place you'd bring a baby" because my 6 month old cried whilst we were there.
All in all, highly recommended.

This resort is excellent for everyone. It has a good selection of restaurants and bars selling all types of food. You can choose a quiet or a lively night depending on your preference. The beaches are amazing and things are not overpriced. An average meal for two with wine came to about £20.00. Theres lots of places to walk if you like and there is also good taxi services. The people are very friendly.
There are a lot of steps though so mobility is important around the town.

The resort is very very clean. This resort is not for clubbers as there was 2 clubs and under 20 bars. There was plenty to do as there was a lot of excusions to go on.

Beach an absolute stunner, although a bit tricky to get to if not too nimble, as many steps down to it. Worth the effort though.

This is an excellent resort and i would reccommend it to anyone. Loads to do for everyone! Great!!!

The resort itself is full of Irish pubs not much for the kids to do. Would never even think of going back to that resort but I would go back to Portugal. The beach has to have a special mention it was clean and tidy but the water was freezing.

The resort was really lovely.Very scenic with the cliffs on the beach and the golden sand.It was very clean and I didn't see any rubbish on the streets or the beach.One end of the beach gets really crowded but up the end of our apartments its lovely and quiet. There are pedal boats to hire from about €10 for an hour-these are great for adults and children as they have slides on them.The beach is the nicest I've ever seen and still pretty unspoilt.There are lots of bars and lovely restaurants within five minutes of these apartments.The best restaurants i found were: Le Dolce Vita(Pizza,pasta etc),Sitting Bull(the best steak I have ever tasted),Chicken Piri Piri(spicy chicken),and Central Restaurant.A three course meal for two cost about €30 including drinks in most places. There is a great karaoke bar also off the main strip that is always busy.I would go back tomorrow as this resort had everything I needed for a relaxing holiday but if you want it to-it also has enough bars etc for a great holiday!

Praia de Rocha is a great place for a family holiday.It looks very built up but still had all the amenities a family would need. The main road is lined with restaurant and bars which ara probably noisy at closing time.The beaches are spotless and very safe.

The beach is lovely during the day and has some pleasent beach bars for evening meals. Unfortunately the resort itself has little character because it has been over developed with high rise accommodation. Go to the beach for the day.
