For hotel cleanliness the rooms were 'ok'. I wont say brilliant because on my first night there I found chewing gum ingrained on the sheets that were near my head! Horrible experience. The hotel food is a joke. I would not recommend the breakfast to anyone. It is simply bread, melon, cucumber, spam and jam.
The location is good but the beach which is 5 minutes away is not a good one as it is very pebbly- no sand. Entertainment at Banu Hotel is at zero! There isn't any and the barman was not a very nice man shall I say.
I would NEVER visit this hotel again unless there was a serious change of management and conditions at the hotel.

We stayed in the Banu Hotel in July 2008 for 14 nights. The Banu Apartments are attached to it but this review is solely for the hotel only.
The rooms are very small but are all en-suite and come with a hairdryer and a telephone. Air-con is available (135YTL for 14 nights). All rooms have a balcony and ours was sea facing and the views are brilliant. There is no TV in the room but I dont watch TV on holiday anyway so this was not a problem.
The maid service was daily, however the bed sheets were only changed twice during our stay but the towels were changed four or five times.
Breakfast was purley Turkish (Olives, Cheese, Salami, Watermelon, Bread). A very limited choice. The Hotel did do snacks during the day and these were inexpensive.
The Banu Hotel is located up a slight incline behind the Amos Hotel and Flamingo Hotel on the main road. It is about a five minute walk to the beach and a good ten minute walk to the Migros Supermarket. It took us well over 45 minutes to walk to the Marina area but the local Dolmus bus service are every five minutes outside the hotel so I would suggest you use these when wanting to get to the centre of Marmaris.
The staff in the Hotel were mostly pleasant, we didnt really have any problems apart from the language barrier.
There was no entertainment in the Hotel while we stayed there, there is a decent-sized pool and two table-tennis tables but thats it.
I would stay here again if there was no better hotel to choose from.
