We had apartment on ground floor next to the small pool. It was very quiet. There is a small garden to sit in as well.

There were plenty of resteraunts in the resort and also plenty of watersports available. The beach was exeptionaly clean and the long prominard was also spotless. Bus stops and train stations were plentiful. All in all a very nice resort to visit with plenty to keep everybody happy.

Loads of bars and restaurants int the area of all qualities.
I particularly avoided the irish bars as being Irish I resented the IRA songs that seemed to be played as part of their so called entertainment. There were plently of alternatives however. The resort was kept reasonably clean but nothing is evere perfect. The beach was excellent with all amenities at hand. We will definitely visit the Sol Timor again.

I had reservations about this resort because of it’s past ‘cheap and chatty’ reputation. I found the place to be clean, bright, friendly and a very nice holiday destination. There are a large variety of shops and it pays to check them all out because the prices of goods varied widely. I had read that the town was dirty but I did not find this. The streets were clean and, apart from some renovation works, the area was very tidy.
There are many ‘excursions’ available from the town centre tour agents (most pick you up at your hotel) and they tend to cheaper than the rep/hotel deals.
The Malaga/Fuengirola train service is excellent and cheap to use (e.g. 1.15€ and 25 minutes each way from Torremolinos to Fuengirola, same to Malaga).
There are many ‘excursions’ available from the town centre tour agents (most pick you up at your hotel) and they tend to cheaper than the rep/hotel deals.

We are baised having spent many years (due to my husbands sister having retired to Benalmadina ) all of the Costa del Sol appeals to us and would continue to highly recommend it as a great Holiday destination for everyone.

Resort nice but quite built up.
Nice walk along the promenade to the centre of town, but I would recommend you take the lift up to the town centre and the stairs down not the other way round.

The only entertainment was in the pubs, which was watching football on TV. Once you've been round the marina you've seen it all. Probably a place for kids with Tivolli World being near.

long walk from hotel to beach lot's of little stalls to look about on the way down.the beach itself was clean but had a lot of pebbles. where flipflops in summer as the sand is to hot to walk on 7euro's for a deck chair.

The resort was fab we ate out every night. The Irish pubs were great there is even a pub accross the road that does kareoke every night.

On the whole Benalmadena if reasonably clean.
There's lots to do you just need to hunt it down.
The beach is organised but the sand is very gritty and the sea is a wee bit murky
