The beach at puerto rico was beautiful with plenty of sunbeds(3e) and parasols (1.5) there were also people offering fruit and massages too. there are plenty of restaurants on the beach to get some takeaway food to eat on the beach and the beach is man made so is very safe. at the harbour on the right of the beach there are some restaurants, the rhodes palace is lovely and Harbour Lights has Fantastic food and drink for really cheap prices, they also show all sport events and british soaps! In the shopping centre there are many shops, arcades, restaurants and bars, definately try the shamrock for cheap drinks and dont try the chinese buffett its a waste of money as th food not that great. also there's the tropicana bar they show all the sports and have 7 different screens to watch different things on. just up past the shopping centre is a water park and on the way to the beach there are crazy golf and bumper cars

the resort itself is lovely apart from the touts trying to sell sell sell. even a walk to the beach became a pain because of the hassle.it ruined it for us. go to amadores beach its amazing altough a hike but you can get a taxi.the restauraunts are fab. especially oscars and the greek restauraunt and staff are very friendly.the commercial centre was the pits ok if your 16. would not go there at night.

Very nice area of Puerto Rico.We were at the top of the mountain so could see the whole of Puerto and the beach,it was stunning.A 5 min walk from Colina down to the Europa shopping centre was a english Cafe called Flics.Make sure you go and eat there as the food and service was excellent.Four of us eat for 25 euros.

we loved puerto rico and would definately go back. the beach is great and everything is in walking distance so long as you dont stay right at the top.

Go to the M&M bar in the shopping complex for really really cheap drinks .90c for a pint of beer and E1 for a bottle of beer, great tip to give anyone travelling to Peurto Rico.

I like peurto rico because of the views and the man made beaches close by (by taxi) like amadores and anfi which are magnificent and safe for kids. Peurto rico beach is a litle dull in my view. Lots of bars, resteraunts in the shopping centres for adults though not as good as the ones in playa del ingles

no entertainment! But being in our 20's, we didn't need it. The main center is about 10 mins walk away, which has lots of places to have a good night out.

Puerto Rico itself was a lovely place to visit, apart from the British workers who interrupted your visit to a Spanish island by calling you "Darling" and "mate" and begging you to buy trips off them. My advice, go to the beach and use the touts, we had a great trip on a catamaran that we booked on the beach for 45euros.
The beaches are good quality but amadores beach is far better than Puerto Rico beach, even though they are only a mile apart.
