The actual apartment itself was lovely. The maintenance staff were lovely. But I can't recommend for a relaxing holiday or enjoyable time by the pool...

I love Puerto Rico! was described to me an 'easy' holiday, and it really is. Everything is close to hand, 2 beautiful beaches, and plenty to do. As a single mother travelling with a child i found it really important that i felt safe walking the streets, and i really do! My daughter loved it as a 7 year old, and now as a harder to please 13 year old she still loves it, there's so much to do.
I have now been 5 times, and cant wait to go again!

Great place to stay, only down fall is the steps,but a taxi is only 3euro up to your hotel. Which is worth it.
The beach is great with lots of sun beds and cheap to hire. The shops on beach are good. The night life is great especailly at tropicana, who do all sport and children mini disco.

We were quite shocked on arrival as to how high the resort actually was.Our hotel was up a steep hill which was nice to walk down but not as nice to walk back up.We tended to get a taxi back up for only 3 euro.The beach was nice but very crowded.I probably would visit the resort again but maybe in a couple of years.

terrible smell when we walked into the apartment for the one night we stayed the entertainment was good our view was of the car park i would never go back

This is our second visit to Puerto Rico, although at a different complex. The area is full of similar type of apartments so the two commercial centres are full of restaurants and fast food eateries and the usual tourist tat type shops.
Both beaches - Amadores and Puerto Rico are clean and well kept with plenty of room. Still a lot of people trying to get you to have a tour of Anfi del Mar, but not to pushy.
At least you can rely on having good weather which is what we go there for isn't it.

This is really based on the Amadores beach resort rather than Puerto Rico itself. The beach bars (especially Sinatra's) were all really good and as we were a family with a 12 year old daughter we didn't really want to be out till the early hours. Beach is fab with inflatables and pedaloes.

Europa centre great. Best entertainment was at the barbacoa and Blarney stone. Great places to eat.

We did not find the resort very clean, when we took the kids to the play park there were dead birds in the sand and also in the play chute area, not very nice.
We went to the Europa Centre a couple of times which is much cleaner and the kids had a ball in the play area with the trampolines etc.
Did not go to the beach but it looked really nice.
If we went back to Puerto Rico it would only be for a week,it is not so good if you like to go for walks too hilly other than that a good holiday was had by all.

Great resort unless you have a phobia of taxis and hills. Apparently it rains sometimes in December
