i was worried after reading the reports on the hotel but the staff couldnt have been any more friendly or more helpful. my mum and her friend both elderly were not in a suitable room ( too many steps to climb ) the very next day they were moved to a more appropriate room and the cleaners couldnt have been more helpful for them. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff all week and they were very friendly towards us all. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable and spacious. We had 2 teenagers with us and the pool was immaculate and pool table and table tennis tables for them to use. It is situated in a good place everything handy and we are definately going back to this hotel next year.

We have just spent 14 nights at the Seren Apartments and have both had a wonderful time. The apartments are situated in a quiet area of Marmaris but are only a short walk from the centre of the town. The staff were extremely friendly and eager to help and were a credit. The apartment was basic but clean and comfortable. If you are expecting to cater for yourselves in the apartment then dont expect too much hot food as they only supply a 2 ring electric hotplate but that was a minor issue as the local restaurants are cheap and the food excellent. Our aircon exploded on the second to last night and the whole system was rapidly replaced with the minimum of fuss which was really appreciated as it was a must at night. The Il Piatto resteraunt is owned by the same person as the apartments and they lay on transport to and from as well as giving 10% discount and 2 free drinks - great value

I arrived home from marmaris last night and had to put this review in to warn other people thinking of going on holiday to the Seren Apartments about how bad they really are
We arrived at the Seren Apartments at 6 in the morn and were put in a room in the basement which had no balcony and no view, except of a bit of ground that looked like a garden that hadnt been touched for yrs, the fridge was still full of food when we arrived which by the smell of it seemed as tho it had been in there a while and had a huge tub of olives which made me think it was staff living quarters, as you came out our room to the right hand side was where staff had breakfast and there was a screen with a bed behind for staff, must've been whoever was kicked out their room for us, beside this was a huge hole in the ground which was big enough that my 3 yr old daughter could have fallen down, our patio doors led straight to the staff toilets and shower room, which stunk really bad which was made worse with the heat, so because of this we were unable to open the window or doors and in temperatures of over 50 degrees this was unfair on the kids, staff were so unfriendly could hardly understand or speak english, which in a place full of british tourists is no use as nothing gets done when you ask for it, they would not contact our rep so we were stuck as rep was never there, rooms were only cleaned once every 3 or 4 days, i wouldnt even send a dog to stay in this place never mind a family with kids, while we were there a couple checked in and found a dead rat on their bed and other people were complaing of rat droppings in their rooms, this was final straw for me.........
We were supposed to stay for 2 weeks but after 1 week i had had enough and was in tears with everything that was wrong with the place and was ready for booking a flight home, it was just by luck that we passed a nice apartment that day and asked if they had any rooms, luckily they did but we had to pay

Prior to visiting Seren Apart I was very jubious as I had read some really bad reports. We arrived about 6am and Ernesto who greeted us was more than helpful. Our apartment was beside the pool and was very clean. We did have to ask for more pillows but that was not a problem. Ali, Ernesto, Ersin, Nehad the staff were very helpful and we actually had a laugh with them. I adopted Ali as my son as we was so far from home and had just started working there.The Seren i admit is basic but maybe i was just lucky in getting a good apartment. Yes i did hear about the Rat but unless it effects me i dont interfer. I would stay at Seren again but would rather have one a little bit closer to Marmaris but in saying that i would not be dissapointed if i could not get one. Please do not always judge unless you see for yourself

we were shocked when we arrived at these apts as this was our 6th time in turkey.we arrived at 7am to be ushered in to 2 apts in the basement that looked like a holding cell for prisoners more like a dungeon. we took along with us my daughter and her boyfreind and had to spend the night in the basement which was discustingly grubby shower looked as if a minor had showered in it we complained and were moved to the top floor the next morning.Apts a lot bigger.Bedding changed once in 2weeks as the cleaners did not clean the rooms also they were not to be trusted as my daughters boyfriend had

After reading some reports on these Apartments it did not fill us with hope but in the end there was nothing to worry about, yes they are quite basic with all but a few with a decent view, but the apartments are spacious and clean as was the pool area, there is a small childrens pool and the larger pool is 6 feet deep all round with no shallow end. There was always plenty of free sun beds by the pool and it had a 24 hour bar with friendly staff (Eric, Harron and Agnesto) who did everything to make our stay a pleasant one. Although we were self catering a good range of food was available from the bar, the basic stuff was made on site like chip butties, burgers and breakfasts but steak, chicken, Pizza etc could be ordered and would be delivered by the sister hotel restaurant within 15-20 mins, it wasnt the best food but did the job on the odd night we could not be bothered walking about. The apartments are in the Armutalan area although it was at the closest end of Armutalan to the Marmaris center, the number 3 dolmus (minibus) stoped 2 mins from the door and it only cost 1.25 lira to go to the back end of Armutalan or into Marmaris center, dolmus run every 5 mins so this was very useful. If you prefer walking you could be in the center in a 15 min leisurely stroll. So to recap - Basic cheap and clean, great location as the madness of the centre is not far away if you want it or you can stay in Armutalan relaxing. Hope to go back next year great time had by all, miss it already :0(

Travelled for one week in early September. Hotel was clean and fresh. Room was very nice. We paid 420 for a week so i think it was brilliant value.
Only one thing, always check your bar bill, we had extra drinks added on top - not impressed!!
Albeit that one thing we would surely go again.

we stay in the seren apartmants for 1 week when we got there the welcome was short heres your key go find your room. we were lucky we were on the second floor the room!! the room its self was ok for wot you payed for being a 2 star place, there was food on the floor on the balcony, no toilet roll in the toilet as for staff tom you really need to sort your dancing out lol bless him, staff behind the bar were great would always do there best to help anyone. the pool was lovely and clean the bar would stay open till your stop buying the drinks sometimes till 6 am we were down there till . well done tom! as for the puppys and the cockrall only heard them once the first morning we were there, as for smell never smelt nothing bad!

Just back from hols and there seems to be a hell of alot of bad reviews. Cant understand why as the apartments are fine, plenty of room, no bad smell, helpful and very friendly staff. Il go back to the seren cos its out of town yet still in vicinity of bars and restaurants and its only 5min on bus that goes every 2min to the centre

we found stay fine staff great pool nice and clean our room on first floor big clean, bath room could do with a bit of work but u get what you pay for. other people we talked to were in the basement rooms were they did not have it so good doors were hanging off no kitchen stuff air con broke but u ask them they will sort it out .the area it is in is out the back but a short bus drive away from every were for a few pence. they have a good bar and do snacks ,pool area is big and clean get down early for beds. met some good people there wld go back again.
