when we arrived at this hotel we where shown to our room within 5 minutes, the only problem being this was not what we booked, as there was only three beds and a tv in a room no bigger than 10"x8". there was no kettle, cooker, or toaster. The following morning after little sleep we went to reception to get the room that we had booked only to be met with another eleven people who had been treated the same. When we eventualy got to reception the young girl could hardly speak a word of english, and eventualy called a manager, who told us it would be another week before a room would be available, whilst sniggering all the time. The generel manager was then called and offered us free air-conditioning and safe whilst we stayed in this hotel. We then accepted this and where promised a room of our size as soon as possible. We then asked to be supplied with a kettle and toaster which we where told would be with us within an hour. The kettle promptly arrived along with a roll of toilet paper! I then went to use the kettle and found that there was only one electric socket which was 7 feet of the floor and was used for the t.v.
the rep did not turn up on thursday morning as he was allegedly at the police station dealing with another problem and when we did manage to get a hold of him he was as much use as chocolate fire guard, and said if we did not have the right room by monday he would then move us to a different hotel.
the complex itself was ok apart from our personal experience on arrival and the following days, before we got moved to the self catering apartment. the staff where friendly but only wanted to get you booked up for turkish night and constantly asked from a sunday to tuesday. Cant pass comment about food as ate in town every night.

staff tortured you to use the hotel retaurant, rooms were filthy, had to keep complaining about no bins being emptied, pools were closed quite a lot as very dirty, tiles cracked around pools. a tour company pulled out the week we were there as the pools so bad.
hotel staff, hassle you a lot for to stay in hotel, prices are a rip of.

Had a fantastic 2 weeks at the Antique Palace. The staff were superb with the kids and there was entertainment every night. The 4 pools are well kept and we used them daily.

The cleaners came around daily and the sheets and towels changed every 3 days as stated by the travel agents.

We ate at the hotel restaurant most days and never had a problem with the quality, amount or service.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone although the lifts do break down a lot.

The room when we arrived was so small for 4 of us we asked to be moved straight away, we got moved to a bit bigger room on the 2nd floor, with a balcony. i had to ask the maid to sweep the floor as it looked like it hadnt been done since the last people were in, i ended up buying my own cleaning products, because it was disgusting. The food was ok we only ate there a couple of times, some lovely places nearby to eat a lot cheaper. The hotel staff (waiters) were great nothing was too much trouble.Entertainment was ok but a bit repetative, I had a very nosey maid who took a liking to a pair of my trousers, and suprise suprise, they were missing when i went to pack my case.. Pools for the kids were ok, and there was always sunbeds available for us...

well there was a very large group of us that went there was 11 adults and 10 children and when we arived into the hotel it looked fine, but then they look us into our room and my room there was 4 of us staying and it was so tiny, and not very clean it looked like it hadnt been cleaned from the last people stayed in it. the staff was nice, and the entertainment was the same every night and it got so boring, it was repetive every night. the food and drink was quite expensive but there is some near by restruants that are much cheaper. the pool was ok but when we was there, 1 of the pools was shut the hole time and it was dirty. and they didnt even clean it when we was there, the lifts never worked so we had to walk all up the stairs every time. this is the 2nd time i have visted turkey and we will deffently not be going again.

Just got back from a 2 week holiday at the antique palace and there have been many changes. We went last year and so re booked as we enjoyed it so much..But when we arrived we were taken to our room it was ok, we had a 2 bedroom appartment the 2 shower rooms were both filthy with black grime and mould in both shower rooms, looked like they had never been cleaned, the en suite bathroom also smelt disgusting!
The waitors were only interested in the guests spending money in the hotel and constantly harrassed you to be buying drinks, ice creams and paying for there themed nights!!!(which were exactly the same as last years)so we had been there done that and got the t shirt!! we also noticed how filthy all the pools were and our suspicions were proved right as 2 out of my 3 children got bad ear infections from the pool water and had to be put on antibiotics and ear drops for 5 days!! thet eventually took a pool water sample in the 2nd week and closed the pool off it was so dirty!!! 1 of the slides was also broken and not even repared in the 2 weeks we were there!! Also the sunbed situation was a joke with people getting up at 6am to reserve sunbeds and then not coming down til midday to use them!! thet had leaflets up saying no towells on sunbeds until 8am or they would be removed what a joke!!! on the 2nd to last day we were also asked if we would do them a favour and move hotels as they had over booked!!! i said no as it wasn,t my problem but in short i won,t be going back for a 3rd year!!!

We have been to Turkey many times before but this time we travelled to the Antique Palace for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time.

We stayed B&B but we weren't Overly keen on the breakfast as it was all Turkish Food but we still managed to eat something from it everyday.

The food from the restaurant for lunch and dinner was gorgeous. We ate at the hotel many times and enjoyed our meals everytime. We never once had a bad meal.

The cleanliness of the hotel and rooms was very very good. The maid cleaned our room everyday and changed our bedding twice a week and the pool area was cleaned every night/morning.

The staff are very friendly and will try there very best to help you. Best Staff member is RIO.

The entertainment at night was very good for both kids and adults. We had a party of 17 meet us on our 2nd week and the kids loved the entertainment every night.

I am pricing this hotel for next year already as i would have not problems in returning to it. We had a fabulous time.

we have just arrived back yesterday and so this report is very fresh in my mind.
after travelling throughout the night we were all extremely tired. on arrival at the hotel we were checked in quickly and shown to our room. we had booked a 2 bed appartment and were pleased to see it was easily large enough for the 5 of us. it had a bedroom with a double bed, a room with twin beds and a settee in the living area which easily converted into another double bed. the rooms weren't as bright and clean as last time we stayed in turkey, but the last place we stayed in was brand new so that was to be expected.although we were self catering the cooking facilities were pretty poor. but were found lots of excellent places to eat anyway.
after unpacking we took a stroll to the local supermarket which was only about 20 mins away. the rep who was on the coach from the airport reccommended KIPA as it is the Turkish Tesco.
at the welcome meeting the restaurant/bar staff were very attentive, particularly towards the children, who lapped up all the attention. they were keen to tell us about their menu and things that were happening. although we are not naive and know it's their job they did make you feel very welcome.
the only downside to the restaurant/bar staff was that it was obviously part of their job to keep you on the complex and so we sometimes felt that we were trying to escape from colditz in order to eat elsewhere. Big mention to 'Amadeus Bar' at this point excellent meals and staff. good food at Hot Stuff too. both these bars are only a stones throw away.
entertainment at night was very repetative. but if you looked at other places locally they also repeated the same things night after night so maybe that's just the way they do it there.drinks and food were more expensive on site than other bars. also there are signs up saying that you can't bring food or drinks from shops etc to the pool area, you have to get them from the bar. in the two weeks that we were there i didn't see them uphold this rule.....as long as you weren't too blaten't about it.
our room was swept and beds made every day....although i did hear other people moaning that theirs wasn't.
The pool boys were forever walking around keeping the pool area tidy....and taking drink orders at the same time. they are also up for a swim if you can manage to push them in!we regularly saw chemicals added to the water to ensure it was clean. the slides were only opened at certain times of the day, but these were regular times and stuck to so that kept the kids happy. unfortunately one of the larger slides was broken and so it couldn't be used.
all we had to report maintenance wise was a blown bulb in the bathroom, which was replaced within an hour or two.whilst on the subject of the shower, the bathroom was turned into awetroom whenever it was used.....but then again i've stayed in places when the water barely trickled out so this didn't bother us too much.
the staff worked very long hours, often in the bar til it closed and then back in the restaurant or poolside before 8am.
special mention to Rammi, Charlie, Jimmy and Sam the Man.
also if you are around poolside at 4.30 it's worth popping into the bar to play prize bingo with Duane.....cheeky chappy but made us laugh.
all in all we had a great time at Antique Palace.
(one more thing my son had to visit the pharmace due to a rash on his leg. he was sent straight to the doctor who gave him introvenous antibiotics 3 times and it cleared up brilliantly. they were very attentive and kind to him.)

We stayed in the Antique Palace in Marmaris. To some up the hotel in one word its Disgraceful!

We arrived at 3am in the morning to be given the keys to a room only instead of an apartment. The room was tiny with 2 beds and a shower. wanting to freshen up i was greated by a filthy shower room, the shower curtain was suppose to be white however it was all stained and the shower head was rusty. Being so tired i just headed for bed and thought we would sort it in the morning! Next morning we went to reception to complain that we were in the wrong room and the manager didn't even know we arrived. The manager said he didn't have any apartments, then a room became available at 12pm. The manager gave us the key and told us to take our cases to our new room.. Well we could not believe our eyes, we thought that the room we were in was bad, we couldn't believe that they had not cleaned the room it was discusting. Being tired and 3 months pregnant i was an emotional wreck, i was told the room was going to be cleaned! myself and my fiance complained to our first choice rep and was told if we wanted to change we would have to pay a further

Myself (21) Boyfriend (22) His mum & dad (40s) and brother (11) and sister (14) stayed at the hotel on the last week in June, first week in July.

On arrival after a delayed flight we were told by the man on reception there was no 1 bedroom apartments and we were shown to a floor underground to two hotel rooms instead which consisted of a double bed and a shower room. There was no light what so-ever in the rooms so the offer of free air conditioning was irrelevant. Being 4 months pregnant and having just travelled through the night all I wanted was a shower and to lie down but after being told to wait in reception for 5 minutes (which turned into 30 minutes) we were shown to two hotel rooms which were a few floors up.

After putting the cases in the rooms I went downstairs to see about changing to apartments when they became available and having discussions with a member of staff who was not willing to transfer both parties into apartments - but would provide us with ONE apartment to share.
Anyway - eventually myself and my boyfriend were transfered to a one bedroom apartment the next day but the other 4 people had to suffer a tiny hotel room with only sleeping space for 3 people and no facilities to cook or store food.

In both rooms the showers were rusty, shower curtains stained and falling down. The cleaners were in everyday, folded the dirty towels and changed the bed sheets once and on the first night in the apartment room one of the kids spilled some crisps on the floor under our table - this was still on the floor when we left 2 weeks later.

The location of the hotel was fine and if you ignored the pressure to attend a BBQ on a Wednesday (which you were pressured by the staff from a Sunday to a Tuesday night) you could usually enjoy a day by the pool which was a decent size and plenty of sunbeds.

Cannot comment on the entertainment as I rarely stayed in the hotel but everytime someone ordered a cocktail (which was maybe one every two minutes) all the bar staff would gather round them and sing a song, spray deoderatant and light it - put me off sitting at the bar as this was constant for hours and you could not enjoy yourself.

Into my second week 3 cleaners were involved in a fight which resulted in two little girls being caught in the middle of 3 women punching and scratching one another and one cleaner getting knocked out black - when anyone complained about this behaviour we were told "this sort of stuff happens".

Would not recommend the hotel but LOVED Marmaris and will definetely return!
