We arrived at the hotel Pineta at 5.30 in the morning and we were told that our rooms were not ready we then had to wait 2 and half hours until our rooms were ready which was not the case with the Germans!

The food was absolutely disgusting and unedible! The staff at reception were unhelpful. The entertainment staff tried their best but their wasn't much they could do to entertain you.

We got kicked out of the pool area at 5pm although the pool didn't close until 7pm, for a Turkish wedding which we were told was in the brochure, and suprise suprise its not!

We would not go back to the hotel Pineta and would advise people to stay clear!

On arrival seemed very nice. Lovely surroundings and gorgeous views pool and bars excellent.

Lots of games and kids clubs activities for the kids.

As soon as we arrived, we had a bed short, so one of the porters brought a bed into the room, crashing it down onto my prescription spectacles! We was stunned and asked if he could bring the manager, he shrugged his shoulders as if it wasn't a problem and left the room!!! Reception was just to busy to deal with the problem and the rep was useless so we sorted the problem on our return back home! Good job I had also taken contact lenses!

Hotel food was horrendous! reheated meals were from the day before so please be careful, I ended up in hospital for 3 days really sick due to food poisoning!

Lots of Germans and not much English people at this hotel, overall we all felt that this hotel only catered for the Germans and Dutch. Ignorance as usual queueing for meals and sunbeds were a problem, you have to be up before sunrise to get a sunbed!!!

Entertainment was disgusting for the kids two gays were playing with each others genitalia pretending to play a guitar! and you couldn't take your drinks into the stage area while the show was on!

I know it sounds like I love to complain but we go to Turkey quite regular and this has got to be the worst ever place we have stayed in!

We arrived at the Pineta after a painfully 9 Hour Transfer from Bodrum Airport. We had a dodgy flight time arriving in Bodrum at about 02:00. On the way to the hotel our coach driver managed to crash into a cow. We were in the middle of a mountain far far away. The left side of the coach had been wiped out, the headlights had blown and the wheel hub had bent. We waited 2 hours in the freezing cold for a new coach to be sent from Marmaris.

When we eventuly got to the hotel it was 9 am in the morning. Checked in ok and was given a room key. The room was awful. This hotel is supposed to be 4* the room reflected a bog standard B&B room. No bins. A proper broom cupboard. I was straight back down to the reception area stressing that I want a new room. The manager explained they had no more rooms until the next day. The next room was 5 floors up overlooking the sea and pool area. Very nice.

If your coming to this hotel for a decent bit of tucker... THINK AGAIN!!. The hotel is has a varied nationality range, mainly Dutch and German, Russia and Finish. The whole lot. The Breakfast consisted of runnerbeans, broccoli, egg, and tomato with cheese. Even the bread catches on fire when toasted. Evening times are a shambles. Over crowded restaurant. Starters consist of various salads. The main courses is the usual chicken, rice, only 4 dishes in the hot counter, very basic. We ate out most the time at a lovely restaurant called Piccadily. Lovely steak and good atmosphere. Very reasonable.

Even the drinks are dreadful. The beer is called Tuborg which is ok. If you drink spirits buy a bottle from the local supermarket. The sprits all smell like paint stripper. They have peach, coconut and other drinks on the bar. Please be careful. The drinks on the bar are a food product and not alcholic. They will tell you it has booze in.

Overall the hotel area is clean, the pool area is kept well. These people are always cleaning. 3 decent size pools.

Also be up nice and early for a sunbead, 5-6 am in most cases. Watch out if you are having a snooze in the afternoon. If you fall asleep the Germans nick your brolley, this happened to me.

Be aware of the Emporium restaurant just outside the hotel to the right. The food is nice but the service is dodgy. First attempt of eating there my food was cold. The second night the dozy waiter decided to land a full pint of beer over my slacks.

Usual attitude among the tourist at the bar area, just jump in.

Overall hotel is boring and basic, the entertainment team do their best but the activities are the same everyday. This is more of a 2*/3 hotel. The reception staff are most un-helpful, couldn't even tell you what day the market was on or where the internet room was.

If your doing tours get them down the town, you can even barter for them.

All the best.

The hotel was clean, the room was gorgeous, especially ours overlooking the pool and mountains at the back. The bathroom was clean, as were the toilets, and the bars.

The bars, however did get alittle overcrowded and sometimes it was hard to get a seat when the shows were on, but sharing with other English families is a good way to make friends!

The staff, I cannot praise enough, made our holiday, but did get in trouble for talking with us too much!

The food was ok, not brilliant, but we survived, and the resort was tops, we loved every minute of our holiday and can't wait to return to Pineta!

My wife and I have just returned from this hotel and I can honestly say we will not be returning, we had a four hour transfer from Dalaman airport and when we arrived at the hotel not one person we spoke to was interested in helping us.
When we finaly managed to find our way arround the hotel with not one other English person in sight I might add, feeling tired and hungry we asked at reception where we might find something to eat the answer we got was make your own way as your to late for food now.

When we did get to see what food if you can call it that was available I was horrified to think we had to spend a week eating this. We were told that baked potatoes were cooled and then imersed in freezing cold water.

There was nothing absoloutly nothing that my wife and I enjoyed food or drink wise we are both sick to death of coke, fanta and sprite now as well.

All this on our honeymoon which was only saved because we eat out all the time so much for all inclusive and the entertainment was awful to repetative and if you try and get a drink in the upstairs bar good luck.

I would strongly advise anyone not to come to this hotel it should only advertise to Germans and Dutch

We are a family of 4 adults and 2 children. Myself and my husband - daughter of 21 and her boyfriend - 2 children 9 and 12. This was our first time to Turkey and to the Pineta Hotel. It was absolutely terrible. We were told we would have three rooms. Two of the rooms with 3 beds and one room with 4 beds as the youngest boy has nightmares and likes to sleep with us and be near us.

When we finally arrived at the hotel after the long hot drive from the airport over 4 hours (take lots of drinks for the coach journey as it is so long and so hot especially for the children).

We were given 3 rooms each of which had 2 beds in. Before I left the UK I got hold of Thomas Cook and asked them to fax the hotel saying we wanted our rooms together (especially the boys as we had heard about rooms being on separate floors which we did not want). After a long wait Thomas Cook rang me to say they had faxed the hotel and our rooms were "adjacent" to each other. How you could have 3 rooms adjacent to each other I did not know. They assured me that 2 of the rooms would be next door to each other which would be fine for ourselves and the boys, and my daughter could be separate from us.

The rooms were adjacent but 4 doors down from our room. Each of the rooms only had 2 beds in. When I complained they said "Well there is nothing we can do about it". This meant that my husband had to take the mattress from our room each night and sleep on the floor of the boy's room so our youngest would not be frightened. What a great way to spend a holiday.

When we complained to the Rep she was not at all interested and had no time for the holiday makers at all.

The food (if you could call it that) was absolutely terrible. We were on an all inclusive break but not one of us has eaten anything in the hotel at all. It is all salads with lots of olives and strange things. If you are a rabbit you will love the food there but if you want hot food or food with some taste then there is nothing at all to eat.

We aet out at every single meal which defeated the object of being on an all inclusive holiday.

We have been to Spain, Portugal and Greece on all inclusive holidays and never have we experienced the type of food that was served here. We are throughly disappointed with the hotel and the way we have been treated by the hotel.

We go abroad at least 3 times a year as a family all over the world and we have never seen a hotel like this one. It is not even "2 star" let alone 4 star as stated in the brochure.

As soon as I got home I wrote to Thomas Cook complaining but I know that this is a waste of time so I have written directly to ABTA. They do take a long time to reply to customers but usually when you complain directly to them they get the tour operators to do something about your complaints instead of dismissing them as Thomas Cook would do.

To anybody going to this hotel I feel very sorry for you as it is truly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

I do not usually complain but I really feel that people should know what to expect at this hotel. It should be closed down as the food is so bad and if you do not have a lot of money and cannot afford to eat out all the time then you are going to be stuck or starving by the time you return to the UK. Luckly the food in the rest of Turkey is cheap and edible.

Good luck to anybody who is going to this hotel as you will need it.

For a all inclusive hotel the food was very poor, partner has an allergy to wheat, showed a paper to chef wrote in Turkish, one meal came back with meat and pasta which is made from wheat so had to go out to eat as the cafes were more aware of what it said so we never bothed showing it again.

The entertain was good but not long enough for the kids 20 mins.

The staff were polite and helpful apart from kitchen staff.

I arrived at 5.30am with 5 very tired children. We were kept waiting ages for our rooms and reception staff not very helpful. There was no one to help with the luggage and I had to take them up in relays.

Had to get up too early to get a sunbed although staff did try to find you one if asked.

My children tried the various types of food but within a few days we were all ill so ate out after that.

The cleaners worked very hard and the place was very clean.

The entertainment was not good although the entertainment staff were fun and friendly during the daily activities around the pool.

You were not allowed to get drinks whilst the entertainment was on which was a pain.

They did not deal with minor complaints at all so didn

After a long 2 & 1/2 hour transfer from Dalaman airport (when advertised in the Sunset brochure as 45mins transfer), we were dumped outside the hotel with our luggage, expected to find or own way into the reception (aka hell).

We arrived in our first room which was horrendous, the smallest room I have ever seen in my life, I

After arriving in the early hours we checked in within 10mins of entering the hotel,we had 3 rooms which were supposed to have been next to each other. We got our keys to our rooms only to find we were all split up after been shown to our room which you couldnt swing a cat it was as small as a pigeon ducket we got our heads down for a few hours. At 7 am i went down to reception and asked to be moved to a decent room pool view which we had already requested back here in uk and within 5 minute we were given a good room near our other family who we travelled with.

After unpacking and by the way you get quite a lot of space to store your holiday clothing we all went for breakfast which i was dreading after reading the reports on here about this hotel,it was quite nice actually the children had cornflakes and toast there was a lot of salad and cheeses to chose from you helped yourself to coffee which was nescafe and juices out of the machice the lemon juice was lovely.

After breakfast we went to get a sun bed but you coudnt get one for love or money the reason been after making enquiry that you have to be up by 5am to get one lucky enough my sister gets up early as it is so every day she went daown at 5am put towels on sun beds and then went back to bed. There was people who used to put there towels out at midnight after the bar had shut which is crazy really.

The pool is lovely there is also a heated indoor pool the entertainment lads and lasses play water games 3 and 4 times a day in the pool and really involve you in everything the childrens club is also good, there is everything you need at this hotel hairdressers jewelers shop a shop that sells sweets crisps etc and there are not over priced at all.

The snack bar is available from 2pm till 4pm and was quite ok different things on each day pizza pasta pie etc then at 4pm 5pm it was cake time and there were lovely especailly the coconut cake, we hardly ate at dinner time it was so hot plus trying to get the kids out of the pool was a nightmare so we normally settled for the snack bar then our evening meal there had a kiddies meal on every night chicken sausages chips etc some people did complain saying there wasnt enough english food avail but we food it alright we never went hungry for the full two weeks we were there, we did go out on two occasions and have a full english breakfast and a chinese one night but we do that anyway if we are in Turkey Benidorm etc.

Entertainment on a night was ok kiddies disco from 9pm till 9.30pm then at 10pm till 10.30pm the adult show which was alright the entertainment team do try there best but it didnt really bother us as we go to Turkey for the weather not the entertainment but there were people who moaned about it.When the entertainment is on the bar shuts upstairs but the thing is you stock up on your drinks before hand so there is drink available while the entertaiment is on.

The weather was really hot day and night time you have air cond in the rooms which is a god send the hotel is in a perfect posision 5 mins straight down the road to the beach 3 min to the Migros supermarket and on a Tuesday the market is right outside the hotel doors which is great when carrying all the bags back from the market. I would definalty return to this hotel as its great for adults and children.
