If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Problem with room temp in some rooms so pay more for poolside.x take a mozzie spray and spray your room..those wee bleeders can ruin a holiday.Good wee bar called Lilly Langrtys across rd if your hungry at lunchtime.good food and cheap beer!

I would imagine in the main hotel top tip just have B and B as there are plenty good restaurants around the hotel another good tip book a different hotel.

Benalmadena has a lovely Marina with surrounding shops in that area but that's about it. The other shops along the stretch of beachfront were few and far between - mostly pubs and eating places. The beach was OK but had a lot of cigarette ends in the sand.

We must have been to Benalmadena about 20 times over the last 25 years but have not been for the past 5 years until this month. We have always enjoyed our holidays here before but his time found that it had got far too built up and commercialized and will not be returning again. The traffic was dreadful, it was still as busy at 3a.m. in the morning and we found it difficult to sleep with all the noise

The marina is minutes away with its plentiful shops and very Spanish atmosphere. We visited Fuengirola market and Zoo with Thompson, and had a lovely day out. The zoo is a must visit as it is like nothing seen before. The animals are held back by bamboo and glass, so we could get close to tigers, crocodiles and gorillas. It’s a very picturesque place with waterfalls throughout the zoo. I wouldn’t recommend visiting the market alone, I would book through Thompson. The market is a very popular place to visit on a Tuesday and it’s virtually impossible to fit on a bus or get hold of a taxi without a fight in the heat.

The resort will suite all types of people from young to old,singles to families.Nice marina at one end of town with a lot of nice boats,stayed by our pool most of the time so cannot comment on the beach athough it look clean and tidy with plenty of families using it.Would definatly come back here again

Great area, with something for all. The Marina area had some lovely but expensive eating places. However walk a few more mins for great quality for a lot less.

We think Benalmadena is great it's our second visit lots to do & see the marina is spectacular, & of course it is so close to other resorts to get out & about.
It isn't rowdy its ideal the food prices are good eating out is excellent

We found the resort to be very clean and have noticed since our arrival back in England how we could learn a thing or two from the Spanish.
There is always something to do and we were never bored although it helped this year with the fantastic weather we had.Tivoli the local theme park is worth visit as is selwo dolphin park.
Our family loved the beach which is very clean and shelves quite slowly so the kids can paddle round
We will be back next year as there is still a lot more to see and do

Benalmadna was average of cleanliness as some streets were quite untidy with rubbish but the beach was lovely overlooking the marina.

Benelmadena is a pleasant resort, especially the marina & park although there did not appear too much for the younger generation.
Plenty of pubs/restaurants/nightclubs/supermarkets.
The beach was very clean.
