If you are ever going to stay at this hotel make sure you are fit and very healthy and don't have any breathing problems were you need to use inhalers, the road from the front up to the hotel should be named as Coronary Hill as this hill could lead and cause a person to have a heart attack, the side of the hotel where we where it was always in the shade, and another thing is advisable to bring earplugs because you find when people come in late they can be a bit nosy taking no thought for people trying to sleep, and people argueing during that time of the morning....

Problem with room temp in some rooms so pay more for poolside.x take a mozzie spray and spray your room..those wee bleeders can ruin a holiday.Good wee bar called Lilly Langrtys across rd if your hungry at lunchtime.good food and cheap beer!

I would imagine in the main hotel top tip just have B and B as there are plenty good restaurants around the hotel another good tip book a different hotel.

I found Benalmadana the type of resort where you where inclined to travel out of it to do stuff. The sun set beach is very shelly but if you take the trouble to go up the beach near to the middle of the town the sand is lovely. Beware when eating in open fronted restaurants you are plagued every 5 minutes with singers and people peddling there wares. They actually come in to your table and some are quite forceful. We found a great place called Pappys who did not allow these people in.

Benalmadina was very nice it had a few steep hills but it was very clean. The resort was full of bars and restaurants and shops which were very nice to go to. If you are trying to find somewhere with a good nightlife though i wouldn't reccomend Benalmadina, appart from the twentyfour hour suare full of clubs and bars. There is a main road that runs all the way through costa del sol and benalmadina is in the centre so you are able to go to other places such as Torremolinos, Marbella, Fngerolla and Porta Beneous. I would recomend Torremolinos for the better night life. The beaches were very nice and they had luvly cafe's on the beach to get a drink. I woruld visit the resort again.

every time you sat out in a restaurant for a meal buskers would play music for max 2 minutes then come round looking for tips, as soon as they left the next ones arrived and this went on 3 times every night. this would soon knock a hole in your spending money. the best part of benalmadena is tivoli world it is great.

After having visited Benalmadena & Torremelinos we left with one predomimant impression and that the area is just too commercialised and that that has meant that the standards of service in restaurants especially has suffered big time. We quite enjoyed many of our meals our but on most occasions ended up being annoyed with the very poor levels of service. The fact is that there were so many tourists (absolutely bursting at the seams) that these places didn`t need to get you back a second time. Things like being told that there is a 15 minute wait for food but ending up with 50 minutes to get your starter, no salt & pepper on the table etc. etc.

The resort was nice beach was'nt great, but then i'd rather be by a pool, lots to do, markets, trips a must is the cable car from the town which takes 15 mins up to a mountain where there are falcon and horse displays, lots of climbing an excellent views.

Hotel Bali is not that far from the beach just a stroll down the hill!
Bit of a killer on the way back up but well worth it. I have been staying in benalmadena for 15 years so I know the whole place very well and it can be quite a climb to some hotels but its all good excercise to work off all the good food!
The beach (bil bil) is as usual fantastic and Miguel keeps his section very clean expect to pay 7 euros to hire the sun beds worth it for a full day.
Hotel bali is in a prime location with shops just at the top of the hill for anything you may need. I WILL BE BACK!

Resort had all you would want. We also used to visit the resorts beside Benalmadena also in the afternoon but prefered Benalmadena out of them all. Not hilly and nice and flat.

First visit to Costa del Sol and found it to be a good resort during the daytime. Although there is plenty of decent bars about, we were disappointed with the lack of live entertainment, plenty of karaoke but only a few showing live acts.
Really enjoyed the beach, nice stretch of clean sand and you pay 7 euros to hire 2 sunbeds and a parasol.
