Just returned from our first holiday in Turkey at the Club Happy Days in Marmaris.
This holiday has turned out to be one of the best our group have ever had normally our party numbers 16 but this year we decided to go to 4 different locations and without a doubt we definitely chose the best of the four.
On arrival at the Happy Days Complex we were greeted by 2 of the brothers Nico and Tiger who made us feel so welcome.
Our first impression of our room on the 5th floor was that it was a bit small it also lacked the basics that are required for self catering.
We found the service provided by the staff to be first class and nothing is to much trouble these guys will bend over backwards to keep you happy.
The evening entertainment is quite good not on the same level as the Canaries or mainland Spain but it is getting there.
We all agreed to try the food at the poolside and we all got a pleasant suprise the quality and presentation of the food was nothing short of excellent.
If you wish to visit Marmaris town center then the local Dolmius bus stops at the end of the road the fare costs just 1.25lr while you are there take a walk through the arcades and if you see something you like then be prepared to haggle the Turkish people are famous for it.
At the end of our stay we all came to the same conclusion we had experienced the best holiday our group have ever had and we thank the people who made it so enjoyable "Tiger Jake Nico Mehmet Michael" and the rest of the staff.
We wish you all well and hope that you succeed in your venture once again thankyou all.

I took my young son here as i have read the reviews on many sites what a joke. The hotel is a right laugh. We had hardly any utensils in our room and there only was me and my son, god help a family of four.
We were in the side with a slide the music that was played through the day was not wanted by most of the paying customers the man that arranged it needed to visit newcastle again as he is slightly out of touch with whats hot now.
The price of the drinks at happy days is so high, saying this the food is reasonable. They wondered why no-one was coming for supper in the evening but this was because of the drink prices.
Because of the music and prices of drinks i started to go else were through the day. When i talked to people in the hotel there was lots of complaints from everyone so were are all the good reviews coming from on every holiday site???????
I did notice that lots of girls were there and from there talk return every year to see waiters. I found this very amusing as when one left another bus pulled up and off come another one.
There was also times when they seemed to double up but the girls all stood back and let them move in on the next one, it is very sad.
Yes i agree with the reviews that the staff is helpful but need to get a grip on there personnel behaviour. The cleaners try there best but the towels and sheets we got were in holes and ripped.
This hotel could be really good if it had the right people running it.
Couldn't help but notice some of the families got treated better than others which shouldnt be done if running a business everyone should be treated as equals.
I even saw a woman being paid quite a lot of money in reception one night. Makes you wonder what is going on???????

This hotel is a lovely place to stay it is that good we stayed 5 times last year. the reviews that people have been complaining i cant understand? The rooms are large and very clean. the cleaners do a fab job and are soo pleasant.
The pool areas are very clean and loads of sunbeds, so no rushing in the mornings. the bar-staff and pool attendants are first class. they are not pushy and try to help you with any problems you might have , nothing is too much bother for them. Some people dont know what they want if the staff dont bother with them they are classed as rude, if they do try to get to know customers they are pushy. this is only a few and their reviews could ruin this hotels reputation.
The family that has this hotel are lovely, kind and so welcoming every time i have been. The changes just get better each time i return. have been going to Marmaris for 7 years now and this is definately the best hotel we've stayed in.the entertainment is first class ,with something different every night and daytime pool games and dancing competitions round the pool for the kids, we have an 8 year old and a 15 year old,and both were entertained day and night by the very friendly and helpfull staff.
hotel is clean but basic ,but hey ,you get what you pay for ! and this hotel is fantastic value for money.we love the location as Armutulan area is like a resort in itself ,it has everything you could want in a holiday and prices are generally a bit cheaper than in Marmaris town.food in hotel is of a good standard and its a good idea to upgrade to half board for 145 lira.this price includes the Turkish night which is a must! you have to pay extra for air con ,but most marmaris hotels do this. you only get 1 toilet roll ! rooms were cleaned daily and beds and towels changed every 2 days.
you cant take your own food or drinks to the pool, but you wouldnt take a McDonalds into a indian restraunt ,would you ...
we are going back in september and cant wait to see the brothers who run this hotel, they are such nice people and so hard working.

this hotel is a class hotel now it has had a revamp i am told it was bad last year. the hotel staff are all family and really know how to cater for a visitors need. we had four girls in our company and we settled in right away. many thanks to lee and jake what could we say but they are so cool. dont know were jake and tiger gets there energy from as they go day and night. an hour at night is all they need to keep going we were wrecked when we got home miss your company so much. they certainly dont need viagra lol. love you honey miss you lots cant wait till you come to england .hope you have a successful summer and see you soon oxo

Firstly I would like to suggest to all those people out there that if you came all the way to Turkey to sit around in your room all day scrutinising it you really do need to get a life! OF COURSE the accomodation is basic - most of it is in Turkey unless you PAY for a five star hotel (I'd be interested to know how many of you did)! For those teeny minority who are interested, despite the appalling (and frankly, inaccurate) reviews of this building it is actually quite stunning from the outside and wouldn't have looked out of place in the centre of Venice with its pretty yellow and white painted exterior. It also boasts a huge marble staircase which runs through all of the floors of the buildings. Ok so the rooms themselves might benefit from a little updating, but they were absolutely immaculate. Our room was cleaned every day and our linen and towels were also changed on a daily basis. The staff looked after everybody and had a real knack of making everyone feel welcome. This is a family run, family friendly hotel with a very caring Manager who takes pride in his business. Shame on those who have dissed this place and have failed to appreciate how special it is. Best of luck to Tiger et al - we will be making sure we come again and we'll bring a boatload more of us next time!

All i can say is that they managed to keep a hyperactive 34 year old fully entertained for a full week without any complaints at me quite the opposite. I personally would have hit me over the head to make me sleep and let the staff get away from the bar early one night but thank god they didn't and I can honestly say I had one of the best holidays EVER!!! The Building is lovely, the rooms albeit basic are spacious and clean, with them being cleaned everyday and the pool great it's even got a slide. Even the restuarant and pool staff make the effort to make friends with you once they've come out of the heat of a scorching kitchen at the end of a days work and boy do they work. Everyone is that friendly from the Four brothers and superb entertainer that is Tiger, constantly pulling suprises out of the hat to keep everyone entertained, to the man who works in the supermarket every night. The staff never stop being busy to make sure that you have the most carefree and happiest holiday possible. If only we gave this service in England, i'd never want to go abroad again. Enough said I think apart from I can't wait to go back and i'm not someone who would ever usually think of going to the same place twice thats speaks volumes in my book!! Get there, relax and enjoy!! Happy Days indeed!!

The hotel is quite a nice building, but the interior needs a face lift. the sheets and towels are grey, check out the mattress you are lying on. My dogs bed is better. The staff i believe are all brothers well what can i say .
What a joke we agreed to go here because of reviews we sen for this year but never again would i go to this hotel. I Have seen somewhere they referred to this hotel as an orgy, this is an understatement. never again i felt for my daughter to think i paid for this WHAT A JOKE

on arrival we were greeted by some very friendly staff, they took our cases to the elevator and showed us to our rooms. the rooms were basic but very clean, and there was plenty of room, and the balcony looked on to the pool area which i was very pleased about. the staff are very nice and very accomodating, there was entertainment on every night and very good it was too. the food was beautiful never once did any of us recieve a bad meal, i can honestly say this was one of the best holidays i have ever had and will definately be returning.

I yhave just got back from Club Happy days and can honestly say i will be returning. The food is well presented and very nice. The rooms were basic but extreamly clean. The location was very good near a lot of bars and restaurants. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpfull. The entertainment is fantastic, the best i have seen.
