After reading the reviews about this holiday when travelling with First Choice I was nearly in tears and not looking forward to travelling especially after being used to 5* luxury on the last two hols abroad. That's why I was pleasantly surprised when I got to my room on the top floor of Block F in the old block which was apparently the worse place ever, to see a clean tidy and quite pleasant room. Could not be faulted. Yes ok it was basic but it was more than enough for 2 girls looking to chill.

The hotel was great the pools,the food at the bar the friendly staff everything was fab. i had been to portugal and salou in the same year but turkey was great and so was the hotel.
Me and my partner were in the new part of the hotels they were lovely clean and tidy. And the maids were really friendly to.
The hotel was in a great area just up the road from the main marmaris strip and the beach. in other words ideal location.
And I would totally recommend this hotel to any body without a doubt in my mind.
Hope to go again.such a cheap holiday too.

Wow! What a place! I loved it at portobello!
I made friends with so many people, who worked or had a part of the place.
It was a great place with 4 pools, great slides, plenty of room for relaxing, a kids club.
The staff were all realy lovely, (anyone thinking of going check out the security guard, elvis presley look alike all the way).
Down the road on your right is Sixt Car Rental, honestly book all your day trips with Oscar, hes a great laugh, (get him to sing! brilliant voice!) ask about hector!! he he x

Portobello Apartment are first class,very clean, good staff especially the staff who looked after the rooms,nothing was too much trouble.The location was very good, I would come back again.Best holiday I have ever had

we spent a week at the portobello apts in august.Stayed in a new apt which was immaculate, modern and thoroughly cleaned daily.Pools fantastic and my 8 year old daughter was delighted with water slides. Portobello staff were efficient kind and helpful at all times. First visit to Turkey, will definitely return and would recommend Portobello to families with children.

do not book this holiday through first choice. the picture they use for their website bookings of this hotel is actually of the thomsons guests accommodation and not theirs. first choice only have the two oldest blocks which funilly enough dont feature in the photos on the web page. our block was; filthy-mouldy walls, dirty shower,stained sofas,run down-plaster peeling from the walls, it was very very basic-not even a proper kettle only an old fashioned coffee pot thing to boil water in. the whole block was noisy and disgusting and almost everybody complained about the state it was in.the poor girl who was reping for first choice was bombarded everyday. it was deffinatley nowhere near a 3* hotel standard. some people we spoke to had even paid to be moved into the thomson blocks.the entertainment was good although it was repetative. we were only there for one week and saw 2 of the night shows twice each. the location of the hotel could not be faulted

This was our first time to Turkey and the Portobello really made that holiday. The staff at the resturant and bar and reggie from barbers were brilliant.
We were in new block the rooms were just excellent the pools and slides were great, so was the food location great as was harley shaggy n oscar who you should book all excursions with.
Pool side could be slippy so you have to look out for that, kids made loads of mates as the place is so big and so much to do and very safe we are returnin hopefully next year for three weeks oh n shelly was great to xx

do not book this hotel with first choice that was my one and only problem with the holiday. the first choice blocks do not even reach 2* standard let alone a 3*plus!!
