The Portobello apartment are lovely they are clean and very spacious. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is nice as well. It is ideal for families and just friends as I went with my friends and it was a laugh! If you didnt want to you could easily stay on the complex and have a great holiday as it caters for your every need!

We stayed at the Portobello last year in a poor 1 bedroom apartment, but got a 2 bedroom this year with portland cheaper than we paid last year.
The complex itself is a kids heaven as it has 3 pools,6 slides and toddlers section, the old buildings have been all upgraded to a very high standard as this is now a Thomson only hotel.
Plenty going on for everyone of all ages, the maids come in everyday to clean to a good standard, the restaurant is OK for snacks at lunchtime but would not eat at night there as there are numerous places outside to eat.
In my opinion I would give the barbeque night a miss as the food is very poor and the queue to get it is horrendous.
Staff are freindly enough and probablly the best is a young bloke called Adam at the small bar, nothing was too much trouble for him and a mention also for the people in the hair studio. You get a proper cut throat shave and a neck and back massage for as little as 10 lira.
All in all a vast improvement on last years visit.

Hi just got back from holiday,stayed in Portobello apartments never again!!!
We all got food poisoning was really ill my mum as ended up in hospital. They have locked all gates around the place and you have to walk all the way around now, too far to beach if your legs are bad.
Been before it was great but now never go there again gone right down.

The Portabello was a massive complex that offered everything you needed on site. They had a doctors, a jewellers, tattoo shop, a hair sallon, laundry facilities where you could just drop your washing off and pick it up later, an internet cafe, two mini markets, gift shop, and not forgetting the slides and pools there where 6 slides and 4 pools.
The staff where on hand 24/7 and like all Turkish people where always friendly. The rooms in the complex all varied from block to block in my opinion h block was the nicest with a block being the worst.
As for my room in E block it was fairly basic but had everything you needed and was cleaned every day by the cleaners, you would get clean towels every three days.
The only draw back was that you had to be up at the crack of dawn to get sun loungers.

We stayed at the Portabello hotel in Marmaris, the complex was massive with loads to do especially for kids.
Our room was basic but clean and we were lucky to have a pool view, however we did have to be up every day at 6am to reserve a sunlounger.
The hotel staff and cleaners were all very friendly.
The entertainment was pretty much the same every night, but ok, the bars in the complex stayed open all night so sometimes was a bit noisy. We stayed in the c block and was near a gate that lead to a shortcut, cutting 5 mins walk off the journey but unfortunately was locked all the time, so we had to make a 5 min trip through reception and walk past the gate which was annoying.
We all had a great time accept we all have stomach bugs, and my husband had to see the doctor and was told he had a stomach infection.
We had no air conditioning, but you could purchase it for about

We all went last year and had a 1 bedroom and it wasn't that nice. We swapped rooms 3 times, but now it's lovely our matess stayed in a 1 bedroom when the other 10 of us stayed in 2 bedrooms we didn't need them though we done it just incase.
All the staff are brilliant.
The best bar this year was the bararn karaoke along the beach side we loved it coz it wasn't just 4 adults it was for kids too and we liked it to coz it was fully air-conditioned. Also 1 of the best restaurants was Ausha and o, yes because their food was delicious...

Arrived at Portobello Apartments late at night. Checked into our room, me and my two friends, was very clean although we noticed slight damp on the walls. Cant have everything!
Entertainment was hilarious, from each to every night, i took part in several competitions the most memorable - Miss Portobello!
I was drunk, cant remember much. Not really the necessary humour for small children but OK.
Loved the water park, close by, and the Thomson excursions were worthwhile and money well spent, especially the Turkish evening where I won the belly dancing competition!!!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Portobllo for 2 weeks.
We found the staff to be very freindly and polite.
The rooms were cleaned every day without fail, Thomson reps were there everyday to sort out any problems(we had none).
All together we had an excellent holiday.

My friend and I travelled to Portobello for a week. This was the first time we had been on holiday without parents and Portobello was the perfect setting for it.
The location was excellent, close enough to walk everywhere, but plenty of taxis if you wanted. W
e were very pleased with our apartment and the cleanliness of it even though the cleaners didn't turn up every day.
There is plenty of entertainment from hair salons to bingo, especially for families.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great holiday. The only thing that I didn't like about the hotel was the chickens that are loose around the pool area.
Overall we had a great holiday and wouldn't think twice about not returning here.

The Portabella look lovely in the pictures, the grounds are lovely. There are three swimming pools, they are huge.
The apartment was the attic, there were no lifts and the stairs were a nightmare. The rooom was really hot the one small window didn't open. We complained no one came. The showerhead was just hanging there and you had to duck when you used the toilet.
The maid service was ok, the food area was a bit scruffy and there was loads of flies.
The staff were chatty but took ages to serve you food the location was brilliant close to everything.
