Not much going on in area, but in all inclusive hotel not needed. Beach was superb.

hotel was situated approx. 10mins taxi ride out of Side, but well worth a visit if you're interested in archeology, but even if not, then there are numerous shops and cafes.

Area caters primarily for German holiday-makers with little information available in English and relatively little English spoken - we started to wish we'd taken a German phrase book instead of Turkish!
Side is a fairly small town wish some nice ruins, a couple of attractive beaches and pleasant harbour - not a great deal else.
The surrounding areas didn't appear to have a great deal of charm. The town of Manavgat a few miles up the road has a well known market where souvenirs can be bought for a fraction of the prices elsewhere - be prepared to haggle hard though - we found it was possible to get cost down to 1/3 (though more often 1/2) of the original asking price if you show you're prepared to walk away.

Resort was very good, not far from Side town, a short taxi ride, people were friendly, although one was too friendly!!

Stayed at Pegasos palace. Beach was virtually empty and water quality good. Sand however is dirty brown colour. It's a haven for mosquitos. Only ventureed outside hotel once. Sarageme is a very small resort with very few facilities.

Couldnt really say, because stayed in hotel apart from 1 day that we went out.

Side has lots of interesting Roman Ruins to visit. Aspendos theatre is well worth a visit to see Fire Of Anatolia.Side beach was very clean with lots of watersports available. Sea is crystal clear. Having a meal overlooking the bay at sunset is really beautiful.Excellent shopping, usual traders vying for your attention,but very friendly.
We would definately visit Side again.

Side caters for the Germans, Dutch and English. Two huge beaches. Sand not as golden as in Alanya.
Easy to get boat trips from the harbour area.
Good to have a walk around the ruins of the Old Town. Still find it hard to beleive you are allowed to walk over the mosaics. They were busy doing resoration work whilst we were there. looked like the were trying to repair some of the stone pillars with a view to re-erecting them.
Side is really just a tourist area with limited facilites and hundreds of shops selling tourist tat. Would only visit Side for a day trip in the future, wouldn't wish to stay there again.

The beach was'nt all that great but the pools in the hotel totally make up for it. They are amazing, especailly the slide pools. The main pool is really lively with competitions and entertainment going on constantly throughout the day.
The resort as a whole was totally clean.
The shops in the resort where really expensive, they tried to charge me 20lira for OK! magazine.
On our stay we did the Mud bath trip which was excellent, the boat trip was fantastic and the tour rep was great. He told you all about the tombs and the history of them and the history of Dalaman. The restaurant you stop off at on the boat was lovely and was included in the price of the trip. This trip is well worth doing.
We also did the Fetiye trip which was rubbish. The market is big but its a load of the same tacky stuff. We stopped off at the gold centre which too was rubbish, you need pleny of money to buy anything!! This trip involves driving up huge mountines with a huge drop beside you, if I would have known this I wouldnt have bothered as it was terrifying as they are not exactly safe drivers in Turkey.
I would visit this resort again.
