The resort of Side itself was situated amongst Roman ruins. As melissa gardens was not in the centre of side (thank god) we took a dolmus to travel there. We went to the further beach as apposed to the private beach as we were informed by the hotel staff this was a better beach. The water was warm, the beach was clean and there were plenty of bars to choose from. Overall very good.

The resort that we stayed in was clean and had lovely surroundings.
The entertainment was not bad and the beach was also good I would definitely come back again.

The hotel has a fantastic beach, althogh Chris Bonnington would probably struggle with all the steps on the way.
There are loads of shops nearby and plenty taxis to take you into town.

The resort of Side is beautiful, this was our first visit to Turkey and we will visit again. From the Cennet hotel you can take a leisurly stroll on the beach to Side town,which is full of shops and plenty restaurants.The town is pedestrianised which is great. Do pay a visit to The Temple of Apollo and the ampitheatre and don't forget you camera!.
I left my family by the pool and visited the town twice on my own and felt very safe walking around, you may be asked into shops but smile sweetly say no thank-you and you will do ok - or pretend to be Spanish which they don't understand!.
We stayed mainly at the hotel at night with new friends we had met.
The beach is fantastic, very clean by the Cennet & Acanthus hotels, although down by the local public beach it does need a bit of a tidy up and one of the restaurants on the beach provides sunbeds which are crammed together like sardines,wouldn't want to eat there.
But that is my only grievance!.

To be honest we were only out and about in the resort x3, we just couldn't be bothered with the constant harrasment ie trying to drag you into the shops etc.
Went to Side centre once and had an "interesting" meander down the infamous "shark street"
Make sure you take the tractor train around the ruins, they're fantasic great photo ops. And there are also some lovely eating places at the harbour.

Very clean resort but not that much to dao at night.Its got a couple of decent bars & clubs on the front but as usual very overpriced-we haggled a lot for good prices & generally got them.The beach is fairly clean although its not cleaned at night-at least not that we saw.The usual parasailing,ringo,etc.I think Side is worth a trip for a day or two but no longer.Enough time to see the ancient bits & have a meal.

With regard to the area we actually stayed in (Kumkoy) its more suitable for people with children who enjoy karaoke and British tourism, and teenagers frequenting nightclubs and bars. The actual town of Side itself about 3kms from Kumkoy is beautiful and we loved it. We got the local dolums into Side daily. Shops, history and culture galore. Long Beach is a must. Waiter service all day and its clean, comfortable, showers on the beach and a lovely beach cafe. Loads of taxis, restaurants, eating houses. All with beautiful turkish food. People are the best and I will be going back to Side however in different accommodation.

Dont forget to take red and white and black and white clothes as you will need them for the themed gala nights around the pool - very impressive and everyone joins in, the only sore point is that the pool and bar closes at 1 pm so they can move tables and sun beds.
On the whole we had a fabulous holiday in the wonderful Turkish sunshine. The international food was of a very high standard but there could be more choice for kids of an evening and I do feel that although the hot donuts were an added extra, free ice creams should be provided for the kids as at other 5 star hotels.

very impressive and absolutely immaculate. it is predominatly german but do not let that put you off, it's a small price to pay for such a great holiday.
no british all inclusive resort comes anywhere near this one, it is because it's mostly german that the standards are so high!
give it a go, you won't be dissapointed.
