It is quite difficult to review the resort of Side because I felt pretty mixed about it! Side is a very pretty town with beautiful beaches but the amount of hassle by the shop owners can make visiting it a bit of a chore! The hassle could become quite aggressive which meant a quite stroll around the town was just not possible.
The beach was very clean with lovely soft sand and we did go parasailing which was great fun and very reasonable.
Kumkoy just outside Side was cheaper and it was easier to browse around the shops there.
We chose to go to Side because we wanted a holiday in the sun in the Easter holidays and if thats what you are looking for then I would definately recommend Side, if you are looking for beautiful scenery then there are nicer parts of Turkey. The other thing is that it is only an hour from the airport so that is another consideration. It also has lots of lovely hotels to choose from.

Side itself was a warren of small narrow streets which seemed to be full of bars/restaurants and gold shops!
The historical ruins were certainly worth a look but other than that I couldn't comment with any great authority as we were only in there a couple of times.
We did note that the cost of eating out at the marina was far more expensive than anywhere else.
All in all it was pretty enough but nothing special.

If you are German you will be very happy. On a ratio of 1-20 the Brits are 1. No messing or joking

Went in the Winter and although a lot was closed still a good selection of shops and restaurants open.
Slightly more puchy shop keepers than the ones I`ve found in other parts of Turkey.

Didn`t see much of Side itself but what I did see was good.
Fantastic historical ruins - Brilliant for any history buff or Photographer!

Only visted Side once. People very friendly although they did pester you to go into their bars. Shops were pretty much the same and lot of cheap goods. Ruins were excellant and well woth a visit, but having said this once you have seen it once, it was enough.

The small village is handy for chemists ect the nearest market is just a 5 min taxi away everything is clean the hotel entertainment is ok the anamation team do a great job.

Side is beautiful with golden beaches and great people. Access to all beaches is easy and restaurant availability is widespread.
Transport to the beautiful Side town is provided with a constant bus and taxi service although the bus service is recommended as it is cheap. Beware of the roads (very dangerous)

Overall, the place was great. I did spend most of my days lying around the beach. There are some cute little on -beach cafes which are definately worth wondering into.
The locals are very warm and friendly and I ended up making quite a few friends there. They go out of their way for you - nothing is too much trouble.

Surrounding areas were very picturesque, and in Side we found a superb Restuarant called Pasakoy. We visited Duden waterfalls which was breath-taking and very beautiful.
Aspendos is a must, and if you have a chance to see a show, do so....especially "NEY" although we would not recommend taking children due to the steep steps you have to climb.
The locals are very friendly, although shopping became a nightmare at times with the constant haggling.
