To sum it all up really it was an amazing place, the sea water is warm in the afternoon and pool is freezing but its nice because it cools you down alot! the resort is beautiful! really really beautiful flowers, little lizards and kittens which are so cuddly and small!!!

The resort of Side was clean and tidy and packed with people but these cleared like majic at midnight when all the shops close. Turkey is famed for its haggling this was not encouraged by the shopkeepers in Side we found out that the germans pay what is asked so why should the storeholders drop there prices?. Side is very rich in history and has an ampitheatre,and the ruined temple of Apollo. The bar keepers use the ruins for there bars so when you walk by your introduction is " come into my 1700 year old bar" most unusual.The beach is reached by walking through the hotels beautiful grounds. It is very clean and ideal for family swimming although there are a few rocks in the water,the fish congregate there so is great for snorcalling.

Great beaches. Flat scenery. Side is nearby and has wonderful ruins and antiquities. It's more geared up fro Germans than Brits.

The resort is wonderfully clean and maintenace is high.
The entertainment is plentiful...something for everyone.
The beach is fantastic, clean with loads of shaded sunbeds...again watch out for the Germans pinching your sunbeds!! There are free canoes and pedaloes, but as always you pay for motorised stuff

Side is a very clean place, Lots of things to do but not as English as Marmaris, Bodrum and Gumbit. Always something to do but most of the time for other foriegners rather than English. Beach standards were very good,clean, facilities were excellent.Would definately go back to this resort again

The cleanliness was fantastic there was no litter but there was hardly any bins so you had to keep hold of your rubbish and be carefull not to drop it. The resort entertainment was good with bungee jumping and lots lots more. The beach was great all though it wasnt the best for little children as it was more little stones than sand. The beach had a jetti which you could jump off, jetskis and bannana boat ride.

Resort was clean and tidy and a safe environment to leave the children to wonder around. Security guards were on the beach to stop any trouble - although there never was any.
Lovely place.
Side town is rather busy and some shops do hassle, but it was to be expected.

We are regular visitors to Turkey and have stayed and quite a few resorts but found Side very un-friendly. The main resort shops although in a beautiful setting were very pushy and quite rude - there was non of the gentle banter and chat you would normally get from the Locals only nasty comment if you refused to visit their shops/resturants.

Been to Alanya 3 times - firstly with my 13 yr old son and then again the rest of my family and my dad(in his 60s), we found Alanya a brilliant place to be - there was certainly plenty to keep the children occupied and hardly ever ate in the same restaurant twice - that is only because there was so much choice.
Billy's restaurant was and excellent place to eat with one exception - their yorkshire pudding needed refining slightly! We found the owner of the Relax bar at the Begonya a real gem - so much so we recieve a christmas card from him and his family without fail every year.
