The resort of altinkum was ok but the distance from the hotel put me off, you had to get buses or walk 20 mins down dirty track dicing with death on the road. The transfer put me off going to altinkum again as it was about 2 hrs on bus and the kids were being sick.

Altinkum is okay,quite small ,busy market on Friday (loads of hassel)
Boats trips great fun , we went with Taffy's British boat on the Friday and called at another market had a meal in his restaurant which was lovely we went AI and it cost £25 per person. any other day it's a tenner with lunch .
It was a nice Holiday but prefer other resorts.
Oh and Turkey has got dearer than last year Efes is between 3.50 and 5 lira.

Altinkum is a lovely little town, lots of bars and shops with shop owners trying to drag you in.You can always bring them down on price whatever they say.But the hassle free shopping they advertise is not true.
Lots of bars to sit and people watch and have a bloody good laugh with the staff.There are clubs there if you want to go to go but the bars are open till 3am
The beach is in horseshoe in the centre and there are lots of boats for trips.The sea is clear and lots of ish to be seen.

The hotel is a 5* one, and is a beautiful place, with amazing views, and gorgeous private beach where NO-ONE hassles you or asks you about anything.
The rooms are good, and maid service excellant.
Food wise there are many different choices every night, and as it is buffet style, you can eat as much as you want.
The pool is very nice, though admitedly cold!
The staff are all very friendly too.
Easy to access other places, such as Apollo's temple, Ephesus, where Artimis' shrine is, one of the 7encient wonder's of the world.Plenty to see and do.
Would definately recommend anyone to go there; and cant wait to go back!

Not much to say on Altinkum, it was out of season, so we could'nt judge. It reminds me of Spain 30 years ago, though there were loads of bars and shops. Hated all the dogs wandering about, but that's just the Turkish way.

The walk to the main beach had quite a lot of litter and uneaten food laying on the ground. Apart from that the place was very good.

The resort was great lovely beaches, great boat trips (the lazy days boat trip a must)shops and resturants all around. The Swan bar just off the main beach area is a must cocktails 13 lira for a pint(keeps you going for a while) and blokes dancing to die for!! definately go on a jeep safari too but make sur there are others going on the trip too (much more fun) all in all a brilliant holiday and will go back

Loved the Resort, everyone is friendly its not over commercialised, very clean, lots of entertainment in bars and restaurants beach was lovely would definitely go again
