Lively town, catering for families and single people. The boats trips are very good. The food is excellent.

Altinkium spotless the higenists or council workers do an excellent job, plenty of entertainment for all ages,spend time with locals great people, the beaches are regulary cleaned to a great standard, myself QSHE Health and Safety manager,Quality.Safety, Health, and Environment,im not easily impressed, but i recommend you try the resost.

Altinkum itself is quite pleasant. I've been to friendlier places and wouldn't probably choose to visit Altinkum again as I think there are far nicer places to go with a lot more variety and entertainment.

Altinkum is a very busy resort the caters for young people and probably families with small children. Very persistant bar staff, restarautuers and shopkeepers make life a chore. Staff are generally very helful and attentive. Haggle for everything

resort very clean, entertainment plenty of it if you like singing,watching the turkish boys dancing, or belly dancers.
the beach no2 is very spacious, plenty of bed but get up early if you want to get at the front, it became very dirty while we was there down to the public, it seemed to be cleand once 4TL for a bed +4TL brolly.
cant wait to go back

only went to main beach once as is was so packed but it was very clean.entertainment seems the same all over turkey.wters break dancing or belly dancing.stiil get hastled quite a bit in shops and restaurants but its same all over turkey.some really nice restaurants our favoutite was adonis by esra apartments.all turkish staff were very friendly.went on jeep safari and boat trip both were really good.

Good points , location town 5 minutes walk.. Bars near by Sky Bar and Zansi bar good,, some others also offer free pool, free internet, free playstation, free call home, free Turkish tea or coffee at the end of meals Plus supply taxi free. When walking around be prepared to be hassled by bar /restaurant staff, they leave the locals alone but the tourists get grief all the time. Turkey is not that cheap, now same price as Spain, they like English currency.

Been to Turkey six times now but this was the first time in Altinkum, there were 10 in our party 4 adults and the rest ranging from 15-17 years old boys and girls, everyone enjoyed it, lots to do for everyone, also a lot of the bars would come and pick you up from your hotel free of charge if you want and you also dont have to stay there all night unless you wanted taking back, eating out was very good with plenty of places to choose from, didnt really have a bad meal all the time we were there. Would definatley go back to this resort again.

The beach is lovely but 1st and 2nd beach (as they are called)do become very crowded - cost of sunbeds with parasol per day was 12 lira.
Loads of bars and restaurants along the promenade, but would recommend both food and entertainment at the Topkapi Restaurant and Fun Pub as we were recommended to go here and what a laugh we had.
Would definitely not hesitate to go back to Altinkum.

Didim is small and clean, friendly people but isolated. Beaches are small and very crowded but in town they try to accommodate you. Lots of male dancers and not much traditional stuff. Do not buy fake DVD's, they do not work.
